That we can regurgitate all the nonsense the left has thrown out for years…and even though it’s JUST AS TRUE (and honestly we could do more since Bush at least went to Congress and made a case to the people), somehow the Left doesn’t believe those things anymore. Funny, huh?

Did not refer to many of the protestors who quit after the 2006 Election as the Anti-Republican Anti-War Movement for nothing.

Obama trying to look Presidential? Heck, he doesn’t even look manly, more like a girlie man.

By the way, is it picking on him if a girl does it?

planning and the support of more countries in the coaltion.

the case was made to the public and congress before going into war. some did not agree, but at least the administration made the effort to explain theire reasoning.

Bush was criticized by then Senator Obama for doing exactly what Obama is doing.

Additionally Obama is out vacationing in south America and driniking it up instead of staying In DC to work with congress on this military effort and the budget.

There is plenty of room to criticize Obama.

Your comment is completely offbase, and should not qualify as a diary entry. If you insist on posting nonsense comments with no support or back-up do it on an open thread.

to commit US troops to combat on his own judgment in this situation. We are dealing with powers under the War Powers Resolution of 1975. If you want to take 10 seconds you can Google it for yourself.

Section 2(a) of the Resolution provides that the primary purpose of the Resolution is to “insure that the collective judgment of both the Congress and the President will apply to the introduction of United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, and to the continued use of such forces in hostilities or in such situations.”

There was no “collective judgment” exercised here.

Section 2(c) of the Resolution provides that the powers of the President as Commander in Chief to introduce U.S. armed forces into situations of hostilities or imminent hostilities “are exercised only pursuant to –
      (1) a declaration of war,
      (2) specific statutory authorization, or
      (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces.”

Congress has not issued a declaration of war (something only Congress can do). There is no specific statutory authorization for this kind of military action. And there is no national emergency as defined above.

The mere fact that someone somewhere can articulate some way in which our national interests are implicated does not give the president power to take this action. Obama has usurped the war-making power of Congress and violated the terms of the War Powers Resolution. Tell us that you think that’s a good thing if you really believe it, but don’t tell us that he is in compliance with the law.

Obama is as transparent as glass. This whole Libyan military operartion stinks to high-Heaven. There was plenty of intel prior to the attack which showed that Gadaffi has actually been keeping Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Jihad in check, YET, Obama launches military action, WITHOUT U.S. CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL/CONSENT, but instead relies on U.N. consent. Just a few weeks prior, Obama supports the ousting of Egyptian President Mubarak, while considered a dictator, was a U.S. ally, kept a “Cold Peace” with Isreal, and, you guessed it, KEPT AL QAEDA, MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD, AND ISLAMIC JIHAD IN CHECK…..beginning to see a pattern?

Why don’t you come out and explain what your theory is in plain English, with no innuendo or winking?
