Their plan is to proceed to a House passed non-health care bill to provide a shell of legislation to give Obamacare a ride to the House then to the President’s desk. Sound confusing? We lay out the steps below, but essentially the Senate would pass health care reform as an amendment to a completely unrelated bill so the Senate and House could act quickly and without further debate. Even worse? Nobody really knows what that legislation looks like but they plan on voting for it anyway.

Right now, the Senate Finance Committee is in the midst of marking up health care reform “legislation.” Due to Senate procedure, what they are actually marking up is a 200+ page conceptual framework of the actual legislation, not a real bill. That means that not only has no Senator even read the bill but, there is a high probability that the bill hasn’t even been written yet. If the Committee sticks to their artificial deadline of completing work by this Friday then they would have passed a conceptual document reforming the nation’s health care system, spending trillions, without ever seeing an estimated 1,500 pages of legislation, which may or may not be written.

The plan is to start debate early next week with a 4 step scenario.

Go read the the 4 step sham these corruptocrats plan to use to ram this down the throats of Americans.

BTW – they will be using H.R. 1586 which was approved a few months back in the House. It’s the bill to tax AIG at 90% for any bonuses. Remember, Rep. Zach Wamp, that bill you voted yes on? That was shortly after you had met with a group of conservative bloggers here in Middle Tennessee. In that meet up you repeatedly talked about your free market principles and beliefs. You spoke about your regret in voting for the TARP bill and would take back the vote if you could. Hard to believe you really have any beliefs or principles. Sad to say, after the meet up I was somewhat impressed with you. At least until I saw your vote on the taxing of bonuses.

Rep Jim Cooper (D-Tn-5) recently sent a reply letter to one of his constituents who had inquired about his vote to continue funding for the community organization ACORN which not only has been charged and found guilty of voter registration fraud but now is caught on video promoting and supporting tax fraud, prostitution, child prostitution and human trafficking.

Here’s Rep. Cooper’s response:

Dear Ms. XXXXX:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me with your concerns regarding the Association of Community Organizers. I appreciate your input and would like to take the opportunity to respond.

I understand your concerns and have followed this matter closely. I recently voted for an amendment that would restrict certain federal funds from being used by any organization that employs individuals indicted under federal laws related to the election of federal offices. That being said, it is also important to note that this organization has not been charged with any criminal wrongdoing and has publicly stated that they are not seeking any federal funding for voter registration.

I appreciate you sharing your opinion on this matter and will keep your concerns in mind. Feel free to contact me with any future comments or concerns.

I suggest Rep Cooper get his research staff to go to a search engine and enter the the words “ACORN voter registration fraud” or how about “Dale Rathke embezzler”, they might just learn something.

Today, the NY Post has a story on the history of ACORN’s radicalism and criminal enterprise.

VOTER REGISTRATION FRAUD

*In 1998 an ACORN employee was arrested for falsifying voter registration forms in Arkansas. The next year, authorities in Philadelphia confiscated hundreds of registration forms because one ACORN employee wrote them all. This was the first of many voter registration frauds that ACORN would be accused of in subsequent years.

*Since 2004, members of the activist group in as many as nine states have been charged with crimes related to voter registration fraud. To date about 50 people have been arrested, and approximately 30 have resulted in guilty pleas for ACORN-related voter fraud.

snip….In 2007, Washington authorities filed felony charges against seven people who committed voter registration fraud while working for ACORN — the worst case of voter fraud in Washington’s history. The organization had to pay officials $25,000 for investigative costs.

* During the 2008 presidential campaign “Mickey Mouse” and “Donald Duck” were just some of the crazy names put on bogus voter registration forms submitted by ACORN. The group claimed to have registered 1.3 million voters, but more than 400,000 of those forms were later deemed fraudulent or incomplete by election authorities. An ACORN manager said the group hired “lazy crackheads” who needed money to collect signatures in Nevada. Convicted felons living in transitional housing in Las Vegas were recruited by ACORN organizers and were promised bonuses — which is illegal in Nevada — if they got 20 or more new voter sign ups a day. The organization was slapped with two dozen felonies by the Nevada attorney general.

There’s more to be found on ACORN arrests and indictments Rep. Cooper. Instead of trying to lie to your constituents about a criminal organization that you want to continue to fund why don’t you just admit you support this criminal organization because it’s in bed with the Democrat Party.

Oh, btw, Matt calls himself a Reagan Republican. I have so much confidence in Matt’s politics, I donated before even checking his political affiliation. Then I read the comments on his post declaring his run for office where Matt gave out the info. In all these years of knowing Matt I knew he had to have those values. A person just doesn’t do what Matt has done for all these years without that kind of value and belief system.

A listener of Glenn Beck’s sent him this pledge which was on the wall of their son’s 2nd grade classroom.

“My Husband and I are avid fans of the Glenn Beck show. Glenn said to send in anything strange we are seeing…so here is my strange sighting. This poster is in the very front of my son’s 2nd grade classroom…along with the latest book about Obama’s new dog….”

No propaganda or indoctrination going on here. Nope, none at all! Wonder if this teacher knows the US Pledge of Allegiance?

Last week we were discussing the looming onslaught from the Democrats and Obama on health care “reform”. Considering that legislators have the golden goose when it comes to health care coverage, it just doesn’t seem right that all us lowly average citizens have to live by the rules and regulations of Obama’s change in health care yet none of these officials will have to live by the same rules. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

For those who believe this healthcare reform has anything to do with choice, it is anything but!

As a result, CWAN put this pledge together and we hope you all send it far and wide to all of your friends and you all continuously snail mail or fax this pledge to your legislators. Once a legislator signs the pledge, the signed pledge should be mailed to the address provided on the pledge. CWAN will update the CWAN site with all the legislators who have signed and returned the pledge.

(Franklin, TN–July 16, 2009) The Conservative Women¹s Action Network (CWAN) of Tennessee today launched a nationwide initiative to bring the health care concerns of average Americans directly to the Congress and the Senate.

“This is a unique and powerful initiative that will restore the people’s confidence in our government and our elected representatives,” says Jean Barwick, spokeswoman for the Williamson County Tennessee group. “We are asking every elected official in the US House of Representatives and the Senate to pledge their support of the government option health care legislation by canceling their enrollment in the taxpayer funded Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) and enrolling themselves in the government option. Signing this pledge will demonstrate to every American that our legislators believe the public/federal option in health care reform is the correct direction to take this country.”

Despite warnings from the Congressional Budget Office that health care costs under this plan will increase, not decrease as lawmakers claimed, Congress is moving the $1.5 trillion plan forward. Concern over the undetermined administrative and payment mechanism costs and the negative impact on small businesses and jobs combined with the government’s historically poor track record on government entitlement programs makes the unfair application of this legislation unacceptable to American taxpayers.

CWAN member Toni Albani says, “No American citizen should have to accept that a legislator’s sick child is receiving more prompt and better care than their own sick children. If passing this legislation is as urgent as the President claims, legislators should feel the same pressures as the citizens and be subject to the same risks and benefits that come with the government option. We are confident that every member of the House of Representatives and the Senate, in the interest of fairness and equality for all Americans, will sign this pledge.”

The Congressional Health Care Equality Pledge is available for download at www.cwan.org and concerned citizens are asked to print and mail the pledge to their legislators in every state. A link is provided on the site for the names and addresses of the legislators from each state. The pledge asks legislators to sign and return their pledges to the Conservative Women’s Action Network.

“This single show of good faith could turn the corner for a better relationship between the American people and our lawmakers,” concludes Barwick. “We’re all in this together and we all take the bad with the good. We look forward to a strong show of unity from our legislators on this health care pledge.”
