Democrats understand the concept of “By Any Means Necessary.” They use it persistently and consistently. I think we are about to find out if Republicans have the stomach to return the favor. The deal just struck between the White House and Congressional Republicans (Democrats are not yet on board) has an element which struck me as odd: a 13-month extension of unemployment benefits.
