It didn’t surprise me or anything (I’m pretty familiar with the region), but it is interesting that Costa Rica is touted by leftists as an example of a potential ideal country. Of course, considering that most go for an “eco-friendly” vacation, and don’t see the real Costa Rica, with it’s problems and beauty, it makes sense that they would see it as one giant hotel suite.
