Unfortunately, merely putting Democrats in charge of a committee on Intelligence is a paradox. Fancy Pelosi is so busy trying to squeak out of the corner she painted herself in, she has no regard for the welfare of the country. I can't say I'm terribly surprised their more concerned with hiding her stupidity than they are at running the country, but I'd think they would have at least tried to make it less obvious.

A little press sunshine, just a crack of it, would (a) result in a whole bunch of those buggerers getting expelled and/or sent to jail, and (b) put an end to about 80% of the foolishness going on in both committees and the floor of the House.

But this is just item 2,827 in the list of ways in which the majority media have utterly, completely abdicated their constitutionally protected "government watchdog" role.

When I heard about the letter, signed by 7 Democrats, slipped under Hoekstra's door, not even on official letterhead, I immediately thought that Pelosi was behind the move. When she originally said that the CIA lied to her, Boehner immediately asked her to prove it, and she couldn't. She was humiliated, and you don't humiliate the Queen Speaker. There was talk at the time of investigating Pelosi, but of course Dems never allow investigating their own. They only investigate anything Bush, or the Bush Administration. Pelosi and the Seven Dwarfs should have allowed sleeping dogs to lay, as they are now bringing the issue to battle point with the CIA, and that's one battle they cannot win.
