So, are we now “traitors” in their eyes? If so, so be it

So the Senate GOP thinks that the rise of conservatism in the United States is a cool thing for them. They look forward to all the perks; bigger office spaces, nice committee chairs, all the networks finally coming to them for statements instead of Reid and Pelosi.*

Nice gig if you can get it.

Somehow now the GOP leaders seem to be thinking that this was somehow all pre-ordained; that they should take over leadership of Congress, at least that’s the way it looks.

Not only are they dismissive of the “TEA Party” people who, fed up with the excesses of the new Obama regime, revolted and organized a complete new effort from scratch, yet somehow they don’t think those same fed up people noticed that the GOP was itself complicit in the excesses.

Now we are at the eve of putting the “FIRED” stamp on all those we could on both sides of the isle who were complicit in this mess, and the Democrats are understandably upset and attempting to demonize those in the movement who are threatening their power. So too are the Republicans, who see the conservative activists in the same light as do the Democrats.

They both see us as “Destructive” to their power, and are lashing out against the same activists who are at the brink of putting them back in power.

Well, they may in fact be right, if the status quo is what they want to preserve.

There was a time in this nation when the Constitution was considered “radical”, and we may even be considered “traitors” if by “traitor” you meant you wanted to throw off the power of the King of England.

The people in power today on both side of the isle are today viewing us in that same way; because we want to preserve and protect out Constitution, we are labeled “radical” and “destructive”. Isn’t bi-partisanship wonderful?

Over 220 years have passed since the radical concept of the US Constitution, and you’d think by now our elected representatives would be able to pay it more than lip service?

On Tuesday next week, one side of the isle will be getting a wakeup call. If the other side needs one as well, I’m sure we’ll be happy to oblige in the months that follow.

I, for one, am happy to be a Constitutional Radical, and if that makes me a traitor in their eyes, so be it.

We are a nation founded by traitors committing treason against an oppressive government. It is good to find a growing movement of people, whose duty it is to control the Federal Government (not the other way around) rallying toward a message of liberty and freedom; rallying toward the support of the radical U.S. Constitution. Orwell’s words** should be considered every time we listen to the news or read the press for truly in times of universal deceit the truth really is revolutionary.

*What they don’t get is the networks will never approach them with anything but a leftist agenda, and they really don’t care what any Republican thinks.

**”During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”

We need to make a list of potential primary opponents for GOP Senators and make sure that we have that list.

By November 1st, 2011, it will probably be time to get the names on that list in action and field a few primaries again.

We missed Isackson this time although hopefully seeing the Tea Party will move him right.

Propose Constitutional amendments to make a reformed version of certain government programs constitutional, but which places limits on spending on same.

  • quill67

How would such an Amendment be written? “Congress has the right to provide benefits to the needy, the aged, or disabled”? I could see this being used to justify all sorts of wealth redistribution.

Perhaps congress could pass a law allowing the states to coordinate to create social security as it exists today. Congress does have the authority to grant states to coordinate.

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States, that does not apply equally to Senators and/or Representatives; and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives, that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.”

Only one side will win this, Erick, and the win will be total. So then, how come it is the losers think they get to define words and write the histories?

yet realize that the animating factor is gone. So they keep flapping around the barnyard anyway. The day’s soon coming, though, when we shall pluck ‘em, stuff ‘em, and roast ‘em.

I refuse, however, to partake of that particular foul. :-)

I WISH we had the luxury of being able to relax after next Tuesday, but it’ll never end. We’ll always have to fight against people like the leftists infesting the Democrat Party host, trying to lord their will over us.
I mean, just trying to enjoy a backyard barbecue with the family…they don’t want us to use fire, charcoal, eat meat. Get the hell out of my face! I can’t stand this crap, and I’m hoping in 55 hours : 31 minutes : 49 seconds a massive majority will join us in not only voting these people out, but keeping them out.
Really don’t want to do this every day for the rest of my life, but they keep coming and coming, like some weird Banzai charge that never ends.
People who call themselves “liberal” better wake the heck up and join up.

it is those legislative staff members who are the continuation year after year and they MUST GO! My boss told me of the staff from his PA area who moved from the Republican who lost to the Democrat and who are looking to move again with Republican who will win that district…..this is the problem and they MUST be fired!

When I heard that the new reps and senators were being told not to bring their own staffs to Washington, that they would have “experienced” staffs assigned to them, I couldn’t believe it.

There’s going to be a lot of misfiled paperwork when the new guy tries to do something his handlers don’t want him to do!

How quickly in history does the boot fall on the neck of the men who place the king on the throne. His Majesty forgets which way is up, worse yet, they can always find new sycophants to help them stay on the throne.

Saw Boehner with Renacci in Canton today. He almost apologized for prior Republican behavior. I hope he meant it.

    Great post Erick.

It’s really not about the YOU. It’s about the Constitution. We’re gonna watch YOU. Not a threat but a promise

is not the way to go.

The Lotts (for maj. leader) or the Rep. Party need to recognize THEY did very little to make this election happen.

Altho’ not a Rep. voted for O’care, they didn’t stop Frank-Dodd; went for TARP, stimulus I and II, yadda, and they let Disclose run down to the last minute (a very iffy situation at the time), and they didn’t remove Murkowsky from her power seats.

Chairs shouldn’t go to newbies, but the new blood should show still up on the floor, where power counts.
