MICHIGAN’S REPUBLICAN SWEEP

Michigan winners last night included…

REPUBLICAN Rick Snyder

REPUBLICAN Attorney General Bill Schuette

REPUBLICAN Secretary of State Ruth Johnson

REPUBLICAN SUPREME COURT JUSTICES Mary Beth Kelly & Bob Young

Other highlights…

Dr. Benishek took Bart Stupak’s seat, even with spoiler Glen Wilson trying to siphon votes away

Ray Franz defeated water-stealer Dan Scripps. Scripps had wrote legislation to put Michigan’s water (even the ponds in our backyards) in governmental hands.

Justin Amash was victorious. He was a tea-party favorite and those following his Facebook posts are able to see every vote he makes and why. THAT’S transparency! He’s a great example to other candidates to see how they should act while they’re in office.

And many many local races were Republican. My own county, Grand Traverse, with a few exceptions, looked to be in the neighborhood of 70-30% across the board pro-Republican. It was obvious that many just filled in “Republican” on the top of the ballot in our county. That is obvious when you see the Board of Regents, Trustees and other positions all going Republican.

And finally…Michigan Republicans regained control of the House and increased their numbers in the Senate, which will help Republican Governor Rick Snyder implement his plans to turn Michigan around. At least now we have a chance…

The MI sweep has implications for the 2012 presidential election. Remember that MI, IN, OH, and WI all voted for Obama in 2008. Last night all of these states showed huge Republican gains at all levels of government. If the GOP in these states runs things wisely, it would greatly improve the GOP brand here.

If Texas don’t want ya, Michigan is open for business these days! Things are definately going to change for the better and we have nowhere to go but up.

if we are kicking them out here, are you sure want them in your neck of the woods? I like you’re spelling of Yall’. Here in Texas we usually spell it y’all as a contraction of ‘you all’ and you don’t use it with an individual or some wag will say ‘ Y’all? I’m the only one here. Texan English (different from Texas Spanish which is different than Spain’s) go figure.
I like Michigan so you can spell or use it however you like. Because I’m a Libertarian and that’s okay. It’s cool.
