Conservatives need to get with the program concerning technology

Okay, so the CPAC convention is not over yet but I know they had speakers on Friday. So why are there no videos published on their website? I am really disheartened when I see Conservative groups unable to keep up with technology and the needs of their followers. We’ve come a long way since 2007 when Obama used Facebook and the web to dominate us. We are all web-savvy now and I think we’re at the point where we’re getting out our message even better than he did during his campaign. As a regular Facebook user, I am not above posting a link or two about something stupid the Obama has done that day. I don’t even need to comment to my Democrat family and friends. They can see for themselves the stories that they don’t see reported on the View, David Letterman, or any of their other liberal shows. Getting out the information, the truth, is key. Communication is key.

However, even with all of our communication improvements, I still see missed opportunities quite often out there in cyberspace. We’re going to need all of our ducks in a row to take back our country. I don’t necessarily see the RNC as a unifying force for a Senate and presidential win in 2012. I think we need to find the organizations that we trust – and the candidates that we trust – and support them. Their job is to make it easier for us to do so.

This is an open thread and my pet peeve for the day…

Okay, I’m a week ahead of schedule with my complaint. CPAC is next week. I guess that is why I’m not finding any video. My pet peeve still exists though. I’m hoping that we are able to mobilize and communicate effectively among ourselves and the voters for the upcoming elections.

And Erick…why isn’t there a “delete post” button??

    Sorry, folks…

Because the topic is immediate if not urgent. So now I’m thinking about what to do a week earlier.

about it. We all tend to get ahead of ourselves at times.

Your pet-peeve has been mine for.. like.. many years. I’ve been screaming to no-one that the RNC is run by complete idiots. And I also yell constantly that communication is key, and the facilitation/utilization of it, their responsibility. Your post is excellent. I’d rather be ahead of myself than behind the eight ball. I don’t trust any of the establishment politicians or political organizations. I’d rather see Chris Christie and Paul LePage cloned enough times to come up with 535 non-political, non-professional, no-crap governmental representatives, and enable everyone else entrenched to go get a real job- or create one. But then, there’s Jim DeMint and a handful of others…
