Santorum is Leading in the Delegate Count

It’s amazing how stupid the cable news shows are. Even Fox is telling us how Michigan is counting votes county by county, which is untrue. I haven’t seen anything yet about the delegate count. The results are unofficial so far. You can check them out here.

Here’s what it looks like as of 11:50 p.m. Michigan time concerning the delegate counts by district:

Santorum Wins

Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 10 & 15 = 16 delegates

Romney Wins

Districts 4 & 8 = 4 delegates

Districts not counted yet:
9, 11, 12, 13 & 14

So why is Mitt the “winner” already? Why do these idiotic networks keep showing us the meaningless popular vote? The only thing that matters is the delegates. It would be nice if the news media could catch up with the intelligence of their audience. It’s just hysterical how the networks are calling it a Mitt Romney “win” when they have no idea what the delegate count is yet. They could at least take an educated guess and act like they know how the system works.

So he’s got 5 wins = 10 delegates, with two more districts to count. Even if he wins the last two districts, that’s 7 congressional wins = 14 delegates (2 less than Rick). If Mitt gets the extra two for the state proportional allocation, there is a tie.

Because of re-districting. So are they using the new map to count even though the Secretary of State has people voting in 15 districts and not 14? Curious to see where they take those delegates away from.
