Can We Scream Rape?

I was reading an article from Rasmussen Reports which attributed that only 23% of Americans consent to the current government administrations way of governing. This article further pointed out that the United States was set up where the government can only be given power by the governed and must comply with only what is contented upon by the people.

When I think about consent, immediately what comes to mind is rape.  Rape is a topic that over the past 30 years has been drilled into our lives on many different levels and defined as broad or specific as need be to prosecute the offender.

Women can go to a hotel room at 2 am, provocatively dressed, entice a man into craziness and then say NO and anything after that is considered rape. Why?  We have a law that anything after that NO is force and without consent.

When a land developer purchases a tract of land, gets all of the licensing and permits necessary to develop that land and actually does what he intended, liberal environmentalists will call it rape. Even though this instance has no criminal aspect – rape has been used as description based on opinion of improper treatment of land.

Sections of a city go from being livable, viable areas to dangerous, gang-ridden, high crime areas and we say that part of the city has been raped. Again, not one act can be defined as cause but rape is the descriptor of the violation.

An uncontrolled wildfire caused by lightning can be considered raping the land. What we would call an “act of God”, but yet again descriptive of an act of force where we have not consented and yet there has been violation.

Rape – n.

1. The crime of forcing another person to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse.
2. The act of seizing and carrying off by force; abduction.
3. Abusive or improper treatment; violation: a rape of justice.

In each case above rape is definable – even if just opinion – it can be understood.

My question:  When can the American citizens scream rape?

Rape – v. (raped, raping, rapes)

1. To force (another person) to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse; commit rape on.
2. To seize and carry off by force.
3. To plunder or pillage.

We have an administration who has, by their choice and not the choice of the people, committed acts against the American people which do fit the definition of rape – a felonious crime punishable by law.

The Stimulus Act – a redistribution of funds, which cannot be traced or accounted, taken as a loan that the American citizens will have re-pay.  It was passed on a Thursday night/Friday morning at 3am containing over 1200 pages of unread text where those voting had less than 24 hours to review. The first act committed against our will which forces a seizing of by force property – even if the seizure is a slow futuristic process.

Obamacare – over a years worth of debate and failing legislation passed in haste against with backroom deals, threats from the President, and without the consent of 67% of the American constituency that this was good solid legislation and not a further redistribution of worker’s paychecks. This legislation was over 2300 pages with hidden innuendo and verbiage which has spurred more “bills” to “fix” because it was unread and misunderstood. It allows the forcing of government into our decision making capabilities, forces redistribution of funds, and allows the complete rape of parental rights when it comes to the raising of our children.

The Wall Street Bill is an attempt by the government to forcibly control banking and business operations by overregulation.  Where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence define the United States as a country based on a free market, the current administration is making the pillaging and control of business legal. They will be handcuffing capitalism and when you take free market out of a free market society, you have forced socialism – rape of a government system and the people of that system.

Immigration, a hot topic based on the huge crime rates of Mexico bordering states peaking with the killing of a beloved rancher. Although I cannot blame the current administration for this issue, I can blame them for refusing to act when 70% of United States citizens have said “Lock the borders”. This administration is much like the group of people in New York City who heard a woman screaming for help in the alley as she was assaulted and CHOOSE to not act as she is raped and murdered. They then blame those who do act as needing to stay out of other people’s business.

I can with all honesty and integrity state that in my opinion we need to protect our borders and force the deportation of people here illegally.  The act of allowing open borders has caused the rape and pillage of our country. I do believe that every single President still living for the past 30 years are guilty and should be brought up on charges of allowing the violation, assault, and pillage of our country.

When you have reports coming out that the Hamas and Hezbollah are financially supporting Mexican cartels and the Mexican cartels are smuggling terrorists in – that alone should make you scream rape! 

This administration has proposed two more bills to further rape our country which taxpaying voters do not want: the Jobs Bill and Media Bill.

If the Stimulus Bill was suppose to save millions of jobs and yet unemployment is 4% more than when the Stimulus Bill was passed, how successful was the initial rape and pillage of our people?  The proposed Jobs Bill further allows the government to spend what it does not have and allows the financial rape of American citizens with no tangible measure of success.

The Media Bill will force taxpayers to fund media outlets through the federal government much like Hitler gained control over media in 1933/1934 Germany.  The Media Bill would force people to pay a subsidy so that the current administration could “bail out” print media which has seen a drastic decline in sales for many reasons such as their support of the current administration, support of terrorism, or lack of quality journalism. Furthermore, it would allow the administration to set boundaries on what the newly controlled media could and should print – a complete violation of Free Speech and a rape of our Bill of Rights.

Americans – wake up and scream RAPE.  Get involved, use your voice, and get in the business of protecting yourself and your families because this is no JOKE.  This is not an experiment.  This is a take over – a forced coup where every single vote, every single voice, and every single act counts.

So the FEDS are going to sue AZ over an enforcing of Immigration Law to protect it’s state, citizens, property of those citizens, and decrease the amount of crime in its cities.  Does that mean that we, as citizens of the United States, can sue the Federal Government for NOT doing their job and allowing illegals into the country to commit crimes against us and to live here without enforcing their own immigration laws?

You see, I believe that if the federal government can sue a State for a law where 70% of its citizens are in full agreement and try to overturn something voted on by the people, then we should be able to do the same at the Federal level.

Think of today as a day of reflection on what exactly was the intent of the Founding Fathers… to build a country of opportunity through hard work and drive – not a country of entitlement – a place they came from where people were economic slaves. A very basic country based on accountability and responsibility. We have lost that to socialism and hand outs. Don’t give your rights away – use your voice.

I am one of those fortunate souls that really have friends everywhere.  I wear my heart on my sleeve and what you see is what you get.  I do not need your approval to be who I am or what I believe. I know wisdom, reason, and individuality. I know my heart and I know truth.

This past week, we have seen more scandals revolving around the White House, Barack Obama, and his action or lack of action.  Obama accuses everyone else of lying to make himself look better – however – those he is challenging are without blemish, whereas Obama makes lying a national pastime.

Last night Lou Dobbs, the former CNN commentator who was asked to step away as being too conservative for CNN, stated on another network that Barack Obama is making big leaps with his lies and actions because he is challenging men who are without scandal. He was speaking of recent incidents with Senator John Kyl and General Stanley McChrystal.

Last week, Senator Kyl had a meeting with Obama over SB1070 – the Arizona Immigration Bill – which gives Arizona and the law enforcement officers the ability to detain and turn over for deportation illegal trespassers into the United States. During this meeting, Senator Kyl stated that Obama refused to discuss sealing borders or federal help to stop illegal trespassers until Arizona backed down and overturned the Bill.

The White House came out and said that Senator Kyl was lying. They implied that Obama never made such a “bribe” – which is exactly what this is!

Lou Dobbs compared the two men and I think I should continue that comparison:

The second incident involved General Stanley McChrystal.  General McChrystal has an impeccable record, is an advocate for his troops, and has managed thousands of troops successfully in a foreign war theatre.

General McChrystal gave an interview and during that interview, both he and his assistants were asked for comments regarding Obama’s effectiveness as Commander in Chief.  What was so controversial about his interview?

• Jokes about Biden’s inability to hold his tongue
• States he voted for Obama hoping for Change we could believe in…
• States his first impression when meeting Obama was that Obama was getting in a 10 minute photo-op (Obama is known for staging photo-ops much like he is for his lack of truth telling.)
• States that Obama – in that first meeting  - seemed pretty uninterested in the war
• Later, McChrystal has to use the media to get to Obama to get more troops for Afghanistan as Obama doesn’t want to deal with the war
• McChrystal makes remarks about the ineffectiveness of the “Special representative to Afghanistan” Holbrooke and the Ambassador Eikenberry
• Said most of what Obama says about the war is rhetoric – no real facts

McChrystal implies that Obama is too busy with his domestic reshaping of policy to actually do his job and is intimided by “the Brass’, the Generals and DOD leaders.

Are any of these things said lies? Did General McChrystal cross the line come out and say Obama is a wussy when it comes to being CIC? Does a General who actually cares about his troops deserve to lose his job because a man who should have thick skin has the skin of an onion?

Let me tell you why Obama is so threatened by these two men:

• Obama is incapable of doing his job
• Obama would rather “create” his job rather than do what is constitutionally demanded of him
• Obama fears independent people who believe in accountability and responsibility
• Obama fears the truth

Terry Goddard, the man seeking to represent Arizona for the next four years, has chosen to not represent Arizona today.

You see, Mr. Goddard is a Democrat and a Liberal.  He is an Obama supporter and puts those labels before that of Attorney General of Arizona, the legal protector of the state.  If he is willing to shun his job because of his hope at seeking favoritism with Barack Obama, what else is he, supposedly a man of honesty and integrity, willing to do under the label of Governor?

SB1070 is not a controversial law. SB1070 has a 70% support rate in a state that is more than 30% Hispanic.  SB1070 has a 70% support rate in a state that is more than 43% not Caucasian.

This, like criticism of Obama, is not a “race” thing. This is a survival thing.

Arizona boasts several new titles:

• Capital of Kidnappings
• Capital of Drug Smuggling
• Capital of Human Trafficking
• Capital of Gun Shot Wounds (Baltimore was happy to give that up)
• Capital of Illegal Trespassing Felons
• Capital of Most Spent for Illegal Trespassers in: Law, Healthcare, Education, and Victim Services

Terry Goddard is a career politician, in and out of offices since 1982.  He is not what we need more of – back room deals and a hate for his own constituency.

When Obamacare was passed and Arizona decided to join the states opposing this legislation, Terry Goddard refused as Attorney General even though the elected State Representatives and Senators heard from their constituency to oppose it.   

Terry Goddard is a traitor.  He is a man more faithful to an anti-American president and that president’s socialist policies than to his state constituency… the voices of the people who want Arizona borders protected, its people protected, and it’s cities cleaned up. Terry Goddard is afraid to stand against Obama because it would mean slitting his own throat in the Democratic Party, so he throws a whole state under the proverbial bus.

Don’t vote Goddard in 2010.  He’s not voting for you.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it…

I truly believe America as we know it is on a verge of non-existence. I wake up wondering what will happen today to disparage our freedoms, squelch our voices, and demolish any sense of us as a successful country to that of a Third World savaging existence.

They say gun sales are up and increasing daily. Why? Because we have seen as a nation, lost men in the process, that which happens when freedoms are stripped and people oppressed.

I have to ask:

What will it take for people to revolt against this administration?

When will we stand for everything our Founding Fathers began with a hope and dream?

When will we take into account every soldier’s blood, whether living, dying or dead, and say “What you sacrificed is worth us fighting for!”?

How far do we let a man go who has shown no reverence for being an American direct the path of America?

Why do I care? I know the answer to this.

I was raised in a diverse family where people came over in boats from situations that were life threatening for the dream of being an American. I was raised in a family where we have almost every single international continent represented including the original Americans – Native Americans. I was raised in a family where MOST of its men have served in the military and every war since WWI is represented. I was raised on God, Country and Family.

I questioned the last at an early age – about 10. I thought family should be first. It’s not how the Marine Corps. teaches it, though.

When you no longer have a family, you always have a country and God.
When you no longer have a family or a country, you will always have God.

I ran across Erik Rush’s column today where he discusses the possibility of this oil spill as being purposeful and as a way for Obama to further his No OIL agenda.

FACT: Obama was completely against Oil production in the U.S. He even said he expected to raise gas prices to $7/gallon to FORCE Americans to give up their vehicles and move to Flex Fuel or electric cars.

FACT: Obama, as night turns to day, endorses off-shore drilling in the Gulf.

FACT: 2-3 weeks later, BP has a major explosion and oil leak.

FACT: Obama and his best bud, Rahm, have ties to BP as Rahm is living in an apartment owned by a BP rep.

FACT: We have had other similar issues in the gulf that took hours to repair… not MONTHS… so with all the new fangled technology, why is BP dragging?

FACT: Obama has not met with nor has he even been very visible on this issue except for press visits (go figure, his favorite) and his little TV bomb Tuesday.

FACT: He will use this to further his NO FUEL PRODUCTION in America and make us solely dependent on other countries.

It’s the sabotage, stupid!

Have you ever been given something for free? I mean totally free and without strings. And you were like YES! I hit the lottery. Or you found money in an old jacket? Or maybe you were like my son, playing golf and fishing golf balls out of the swamp and found a twenty dollar bill?

I had a professor in college who would tell you the first day, “Ladies and gentlemen, today every single one of you has an A in my class. Whether or not you keep your A is up to you, not me. I am giving it to you freely and without strings. The only strings are those you place on yourself to keep it! It is now your responsibility!” Oh Boy! Lena has an “A “ and didn’t have to do anything. I was going to like this class. I can tell you that I never missed a class because you were missing more than a lesson out of a book. I can tell you that I never studied so hard or wrote more in any other class than I did for that A. I can also tell you that I ended up taking every single class that man taught in the time I was there because of the challenge, the learning, and the ability to keep my A.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about the lessons I learned from this professor. One class he taught was The American Presidency. It was a class that focused on the first five presidents of the United States, the Congressional Convention, and how we became a nation. It was a class that focused on the lives of the men who shaped our laws and why they felt so compelled to deliver the perfect model of government out of the shortcomings of what they knew. His lectures portrayed the fights and disagreements, the loud voices and tears of men who believed so vehemently in freedom that they would rather starve and die than be under the British rule.

What came out of that period of time was essentially every American man’s lottery.

You see, for free, without us ever having to do anything but take one breath, we are born with the greatest rights any country in this world can say to possess. We are born with the freedom to succeed or fail. We are born with the freedom to be born poor and die wealthy. We are born to worship God however we see Him. We are born knowing we are free to think and create, to voice and to do.

Once upon a time, I had the opportunity to meet one of the greatest football coaches of his time, Lou Holtz. I was at a football convention – 600 men and me. Of course, me being me, I dressed to the hilt and wore heals so that I wouldn’t stand out. The night that Lou Holtz was there, he was telling a story to convey a moral lesson about work ethic and how sometimes the only person who knows you’ve done your very best is you – that is your only reward. Are you prepared to live with that? In life, sometimes that is all you get.

He was leaving to catch a flight and I ran out to see if I could speak to him for a minute. He was talking with Larry Smith from USC, saw me and said, “Larry, I’ll catch up with you later. (Looked at me) Come on, ride with me to the airport.”

He told me – Young lady, I don’t agree with women coaching men’s football, but my time is almost up. I look at you and because you are beautiful, you may get your way. But mark my words “No where in life is there a free lunch. There is no such thing. You will work and you will struggle and you will have to compromise, but don’t compromise you, because there are NO FREE LUNCHES!” And he got out and caught his plane.

We are born with our A … but like that professor in college and like Coach Holtz said, there are no free lunches. You have to work hard and struggle to keep that A. You have to give up things to provide for your family. You have to work and sweat and cry and scream. You have to know that our struggle is not meant to be any thing less because we choose to not be a soldier. We are born soldiers.We are born with our rights, rights we did not have to earn, but rights we are born to fight for!

In 1916 Russia, it was a very modern society. There were grocery stores, clothing stores, and places to buy the finest luxury items money could buy. There were farmers and cattlemen. There were women going to college and men making the highest advances in science and math. It was more advanced than America at the time.

In 1917, their was a socialist rebellion in Russia. Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin had infected the students, working class, and peasants with thoughts of communism. That all men should possess all possessions just by being alive. That no man should be held higher than another simply because he worked and you didn’t. That no man should be able to feed his family more than what you had to eat as a peasant. That war went on for four years until 1921.

Immediately after the second revolution of 1917, most store owners and their families were slaughtered. Their stores and homes were seized and given into ruin. Working people who had any kind of possessions hid in small apartments, cramming 5-7 people into 600 square feet and hiding what they had in walls, under beds, in compartments because money was now worthless.

In 1921 Russia, things started to look up a bit. Oh, there was a famine going on, but at least if you declared yourself a communist and worked for a bread and millet vouchers, you ate. Many more people died. If you had seen any kind of personal success before the revolution, you were considered an enemy of the new Soviet Union. They could not get a voucher to see a doctor or for food. They were on their own.

Ironically, and very swiftly, the New Soviet Union created a system of haves and have-nots, of rich and poor, of starving and fed. They did however have two things to keep their failure to a minimum in the eyes of the world: a new wall encompassing their territory and a military police force that was ruthless.

As a junior high and high school student, it was often publicized the stories of people defecting from the U.S.S.R. Many were athletes or entertainers. They would have the KGB crossing borders to hunt them like animals. However, anything was worth the risk to get out. When the iron curtain came down, millions left the Eastern European countries and Russia. they had been oppressed for so long, they used freedom to gain success.

The same is still true for Korea, Cuba and China. Failed Socialist Societies.

My next door neighbor was nine years old when Castro took over Cuba. Her family was fortunate to be on one of the Freedom Flights out of Cuba in 1965. She loves this country, has raised her children to love this country and now her grandchildren. She knows the fear of what socialism brings. She knows the destruction of regimes who take away freedom and create economic slaves all while promising prosperity and hope.

We are fighting for our country – not against the Taliban or the “radical” Muslims. The radical Muslims are already here and they will be patient and wait. They will wait until socialism is greater and our personal rights are gone. They will wait until the Second Amendment no longer exists.

We are fighting against our own citizens who do not know the great gift they were given and choose to not see the value in what those men in 1776 gave to us. We are fighting against our own congressmen who choose to not hear our voices, see our faces, or do their jobs. We are fighting against our neighbors who choose to see value in a $900 plasma flat screen instead of taking responsibility and feeding, clothing, and providing for their children. We are fighting against the slacker generation of 18-25 years olds who believe that life should be easy. Why should they work when they never had to work for anything – it was freely given by their parents no strings attached and they do not see their parents toil. We are fighting a conception that a man who has thieves and lawbreakers for friends, radical Muslims as a family, and socialist ties throughout his life can and will lead a free country to greater freedom when he is waiting with vouchers… vouchers freely given to those who support him and death for those who do not. We are fighting the building of a pseudo-government along with a pseudo- civilian military regime that will be ready when he calls them.

There are two kinds of people – the individual and the collective.

The individual is a powerful being. One who takes pride in who they are, what they do, and has the self-assurance to look any man in the eye because he/she knows the truth of who they are and the power of their soul. The individual rises to the occasion of creating, inventing, and being. They expect nothing of any other because they are self sufficient. When an individual works, they take no pride in the wages; just accept it as a perk. You see, the reward is in the work. Their reward is their presence in a piece of art, a patient, a building, a law, a tune, a brilliant word, a recipe, a stack of fruit, or any other feat they’ve accomplished. The individual is accountable to their ego, knowing that their ego is powered by God, and are therefore accountable to Him. When the morals and values of men waiver, the individual stays true to itself and pays no heed to that of society.

The collective are men without ego. They have nothing to give to originality and expect all to give as they are and be selfless. They are drones – looking for an easy road claiming it to be the hard, taking no responsibility, and claim being accountable to everyone, who is no one. The collective have no self respect but they do put on a great show. They are self-haters and want every person around them to be just as miserable. Their dreams never achieved because they never had focus or drive. Drones want recognition not for what they’ve done but for what they can claim to have done.

The leaders of the collective, the manipulators, are more than happy to have them. They criticize those who are the creators as egotists or capitalists. They are happy with their drones and do all they can to destroy what they see as the individual. The manipulators can ensure the unlimited submission of their drones, including the gift wrapping of their work as being “service” to their society. They have their drones stepping all over themselves to submit more, give more, be less, and that it is true happiness – yet no one is smiling.

When Hitler took over Germany, he didn’t start with the individuals, the men who influenced and supported the individuality of Germany, he started with the collective. Men who were out of work or without their own dream, who had nothing to create but coveted the creators. Those who saw the opulence and felt they deserved it out of want. Hitler was a true genius. He knew that by “leading” the collective, he would win the votes he needed to rule. He took his most faithful servants and placed them into higher ranks. He taught them the art of manipulation and the power of leadership.

Germany had a great collection of individuals before Hitler – artists, scientists, builders, composers, bakers, store owners, jewelers, and many other talented people. Knowing that the individual was his greatest enemy, Hitler set out to eliminate or control them. You see, he knew that if you could strip a man of the one thing he knew to be right, REASON, you could control his every thought and every move.

What makes the individual be so contrary? It’s the one thing the manipulators want more than anything. The Soul. The manipulators will lie to you. They will flatter you. They will try to sell you a bill of goods that will break more than your bank. Break Your Spirit.

The manipulators know their job is to keep you content, to keep you focused for their will and their want. Their goal is to establish power without accountability. Their want is action without responsibility. Their collective believes their lies so their lies become truth. Their drones perform flawlessly so their focus becomes real “service” – to their manipulators. They see the government as their savior, provider, and parent.

The collective, without even knowing and before they can even fathom the realization, becomes slaves. Economic Slaves. They exist not for their own happiness but solely for their leaders. Their work is not their own, their wages go back into the collective, and their lives are based on another choosing want would be best for them.

I liken the relationship to that of sharecropping. After slavery became outlawed in the United States, the plantation owners found a new way to exploit the slaves through sharecropping. Most sharecroppers promised an 80/20 split. You farm the owners land and a portion of the crop at harvest was promised as profit for you. And that promise was legally kept. The land owners collectively owned the stores and let their croppers extend credit. They collectively owned seed and let the cropper charge seed. They collectively owned transportation for harvest and let the croppers charge that as well. When all was said and done, when the harvest came in, the cropper’s expenses were paid with interest and they ended up owing more than the harvest profited. The cycle would start all over again.

When you hold another person to be your savior, provider or parent, you give up what you are as an individual. You exist totally for that person. Your ego is quashed. Your soul gone. Your reason destroyed.

Individuals – the true artists. I have known so many. I have surrounded myself with them. Whether it’s Julio stacking produce in the aisle at my local grocery store or Judge Hyde articulating a ruling in a major case, each man, from very different worlds, awakes every day to do their very best. They know that when the day is done, the goal is to be able to look at themselves in the mirror and have a sense of pride in their day. They are men of ego.

Individuals know that what they do for themselves and for their own happiness is what provides the greatest service to their fellow man. The individual does not have a goal of serving. It isn’t their intention but it is their outcome. Because the individual does what they do best and with perfection in mind, mankind prevails with their knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

The individual appreciates right from wrong. They appreciate the rules and laws. They seek structure. They are logical and methodical. They are reasonable. They know that a governments’ sole existence is based individual freedom and on protecting the individual’s rights. They know that the individual has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The individual pursues their own dream and not the dreams of another. The individual rejects any form of socialism, fascism, and communism because these ideologies do not appreciate the individual.

The individual knows no excuse. They only know personal choice. The individual chooses to wake up every day and be grateful for the opportunity to “be” an individual. The individual, even when their first choices may not provide the fruit they expected, they choose to not give up and to overcome whatever challenges become present.

The individual believes in personal choice and he must be responsible and accountable for his choices. He does not look at another to be accountable for his choices nor does he look to another for acceptance of his responsibility. He is an egotist and maybe self righteous. He is a man who answers not to man, but to God.

So this morning, the question becomes this: If you were born an individual and somehow became conditioned to that of the collective, how much more are you willing to give up to have your government become your savior, provider, parent?

I want to share with you 10 items no other country on the face of the Earth has and please feel free to share which one you are willing to give up, if you only had to choose one, to have your utopia.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

No person shall be held to answer for any capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of aGrand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
