The U.S., Russia, and Ukraine: Why it matters and why we won’t do a thing.
Russia is on the move, and there are no signs that Putin intends to slow down. The happenings in Crimea have all the signs of a full scale invasion. The long and storied history of the region shows that it has been tossed back in forth between various regimes seeking to establish or hold on to their power. Whether it’s Ottomans and Tsars fighting over religion, or Nazis and Communists fighting over who can kill people and economies better, people have been fighting over Ukraine and the Crimean peninsula for a very long time.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee Attacks the GOP
The past two days the staff at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) have pushed news articles meant to tear down Milton Wolf, a doctor from Kansas and a candidate in the GOP Senate primary. You may be asking yourself why an official GOP organization is doing this, but the reason is very simple. The quickest way to find yourself the target of the NRSC’s | Read More »
I am not outraged about CPAC and GOProud
I am a social conservative, I am firmly against SSM, I have spoken of my disagreements with GOProud, its founders, and its focus before, and those disagreements still exist today. Yet, as I stated in my title, I am not outraged by GOProud’s CPAC attendance. In fact, I will go so far as to say that I wouldn’t even mind if they were allowed to be sponsors.
Now, before I start getting adoring tweets from Jimmy LaSalvia and Chris Baron, along with praise from the media for my moderate view on the annual airing of grievances surrounding GOProud’s inclusion at CPAC, let me explain.

Ken Buck Has Been Fighting the #WarOnWomen For Longer Than You Know. #KenCares
When many people in politics talk about Ken Buck and the War On Women they speak of an imaginary image crafted around a false narrative meant to smear the 2010 Senate Candidate from Colorado. Yesterday the Buck campaigned released a video called Stephanie’s Story which showed Ken as a caring defender of women who have been the victims of violence in the real war on women.

Ken Buck Wants Colorado to Choose a New Direction
Since the 2008 election, in which Mark Udall rode Barack Obama’s coattails all the way to the Senate, Colorado has had the unfortunate experience of having Udall represent the will of Washington back to those of us in Colorado, rather than represent the will of Coloradan’s to those in Washington. Mark Udall voted in agreement with President Obama 99% of the time in 2013. Just | Read More »
Happy Birthday Ronald Reagan, You Still Inspire Us To Hope
Happy Birthday to the greatest President in my lifetime. As President, Reagan inspired a generation of Americans, won the Cold War, and stood up proudly in support of our nation’s traditional morals. Throughout his time in office and public life, Reagan always had a positive outlook on America’s future. Over at The Foundry blog they have posted a nice tribute honoring Reagan and highlighting the | Read More »

Open Thread: Coke Is It
After a SuperBowl that was any thing but, I can understand how many would be in a bad mood. That said, I really don’t think it fair to take out those frustrations on one of the quintessential American brands. If you don’t know what I am talking about, I envy you. During the SuperBowl Coca-Cola aired a commercial, which you can view below, that had | Read More »
Mark Udall, Among Other Incumbent Democrats, Wants To Distance Himself From Obama. And I Can’t Blame Him
As I am sure most of you know by now, Mark Udall jumped through hoops, ducked, dived, and down right evaded questions from CNN’s Dana Bash on whether he would want President Obama to campaign with him in Colorado for the 2014 midterm elections. I must admit, Udall was masterful in his ability to not answer a simple yes or no question. Admittedly this is | Read More »
Open Thread: Everything is a Metaphor
In closing out the State of the Union address President Obama told a story about a hero, a combat veteran who served proudly during 10 tours and was nearly killed in that service. His name is Sgt. 1st Class Cory Remsburg Obviously this was all a metaphor about Obama growing up in Hawaii, attending Harvard, eventually becoming President of the United States, and the myriad | Read More »
Why I #BackBuck and You Should Too
Next year, conservatives have an opportunity to take back the Senate and expand the GOP majority in the House. The stage has been set for another cycle reminiscent of the wave election of 2010. The chance to make D.C. listen is nearly upon us. In Colorado, we have a conservative champion who is not ashamed of his principles, and is proud to stand with conservative | Read More »
