A Note to GOProud and Other Libertarian Tea Partiers
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | November 15th at 10:30 AM |
This weekend GOProud and some “Tea Partiers” decided to tell the GOP to put SoCons in the back of the bus. From Politico: “On behalf of limited-government conservatives everywhere, we write to urge you and your colleagues in Washington to put forward a legislative agenda in the next Congress that reflects the principles of the Tea Party movement,” they write to presumptive House Speaker John | Read More »
On NPR and Juan Williams.
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | October 21st at 03:00 PM |
In case you haven’t heard yet, Juan Williams was fired by the taxpayer subsidized NPR (National Public Radio). He was fired for saying that he too has anxiety when he sees people in Muslim garb on a plane with him. He was fired for telling the truth, as Erick Erickson noted in the linked post. Juan’s anxiety is a completely normal human response to a | Read More »
Delaware’s Problem Isn’t Christine O’Donnell.
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | October 15th at 04:34 PM |
I know that it’s become popular to get all down in the dumps about the Delaware Senate race. I know that it’s all a “done deal” and no amount of campaigning or prodding can change the outcome. The die has been cast. Alea iacta est. These words were made famous when Julius Caesar spoke them as he led his army across the Rubicon. Caesar was | Read More »
Republicans hitting their media stride. Two examples, Buck and Miller.
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | October 14th at 12:30 PM |
Both of which are backed by Sen. DeMint’s Senate Conservatives Fund. First up is Ken Buck, Republican challenger to incumbent Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet. This ad had an almost Gahndi like message to it. “First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.” Buck reminds me of the happy conservatives of old, Reagan and Kemp style. I think | Read More »
Double Miracle* Evening Open Thread. *Updated with link to debate*
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | October 13th at 10:30 PM |
*Update: Video of the full debate via the Right Scoop.* Tonight there were two miracles, 33 Chilean miners were successfully rescued and Christine O’Donnell trounced Chris Coons in a debate that was focused evenly on character and policy. As the Phoenix capsule rose from deep in the earth pulling one miner after another back to safety, O’Donnell also rose. Christine O’Donnell rose above the personal | Read More »
Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D) Embraces the Race Card
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | September 24th at 01:32 PM |
That was like a double whammy race card. “Vote for me because I am Hispanic and I support immigration. P.S. My opponent is from Vietnam and he’s coming to take our jobs.” Her opponent? Van Tran. As luck would have it, Tran is trying to reach a fundraising goal of $8k by Sept 30th. [hint hint] For more information on this race check out Neil’s | Read More »
Flawed Long-shots vs. The Enemy Within
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | September 14th at 04:44 PM |
Well, it’s the primary election day in Delaware and all that can be said has been I suppose. Regardless, I will go ahead an throw my two cents in for the record. This has probably been one of the most frustrating primaries this campaign season, for all of us. Whether it was O’Donnell surrogates refusing to accept reality regarding Castle’s vote to “Impeach Bush” – | Read More »
A Word on the Vermont Senate Race
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | September 9th at 05:52 PM |
In May and June I highlighted Len Britton here on the from page. He is a local businessman who decided he had had enough of the entrenched incumbent Sen Patrick Leahy. He sold his own business in order to run for office*. I have met him and I like him. Granted, we don’t agree on every issue but I don’t agree with Leahy on any. | Read More »

The Edge of Tolerance
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | August 3rd at 02:00 PM |
We live in a nation constituted as a free society. One in which we hold dear our liberty. Of course, we also are not libertine. We recognize ourselves as a nation of laws. We concede that our liberty cannot be at the expense of another’s liberty. We are free, but we are not free to rape, murder or steal. Put simply, we live under ordered | Read More »
“Bail Faster Billy”
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | July 27th at 11:00 AM |
Back in May I posted Len Britton‘s (R-Cand VT Sen) first campaign ad. It was a fun ad that used humor to highlight the disastrous fiscal effects of the Obama administration and, by proxy, Sen. Patrick Leahy. Last time around, “Billy” and his family had been visited by the Gov’t with a bill for their share of the national debt. Young “Billy” was told he | Read More »

Racism, Tea and The NAACP

We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to | Read More »
Megyn Kelly Spanks Kirsten Powers
By: Aaron Gardner (Diary) | July 13th at 06:00 PM |
Earlier today, Megyn Kelly of Fox News had Kirsten Powers on to talk about the Justice Department’s handling of the Voter Intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party(NBPP). Specifically, Brad Sherman’s [Democrat representing CA-27], reaction to a constituent question on the subject. For a bit a background, members of the NBPP committed voter intimidation, one of which is Samir Shabazz. This is not in | Read More »
