I share an apartment with my ex-girlfriend; times are tough out here, we both put up with it because we have to, for now.

For the past two+ years, I’ve worked as a MIG welder at a tier-two auto parts supplier (non union), in mid Michigan. I’ve seen 3/4 of my buds get laid off in that time, and I’ve had a few months of temp lay-off time myself. I know a bit about hard work and hard times…my income these days is lower blue collar, but I’ve been a shirt and tie department manager in the past decade. Have I mentioned how tough things are in these parts lately?

I have two brothers and two sisters, and several wonderful nieces and nephews. My Mom and Dad worked hard their whole lives, and ended up somewhat successful. I love them both for instilling in me a good work ethic, and teaching me how to be a gentleman in both the warehouse, and the clubhouse. Thanks to them, I am comfortable and happy doing shots and beers at a hole-in-the-wall, and equally comfortable doing brunch at The Club.
