RedState Gathering: Dr. Donna Campbell (R CAND, TX-25).
We had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Donna Campbell at the RedState Gathering. Dr. Campbell is running against Lloyd Doggett in the 25th district: Doggett, of course, is a favorite of the radical antiwar Left for his extensive and consistent anti-military voting record. Nasty piece of work, all in all, so it was nice to talk with his challenger: Dr. Campbell’s site is here. | Read More »
RedState Gathering: Rick Perry (R, TX-GOV).
Governor Perry was an excellent host governor for the RedState Gathering, and took the time to talk with many of us on various matters. Here we talk about activism and the 2010 elections: Governor Perry’s election site is here. Moe Lane Crossposted to Moe Lane.
Coons vs. Coons in ‘Biden seat’ rhetoric!
Compare and contrast: “It’s often said that this is Joe Biden’s seat. It’s not. It’s Delaware’s seat.” This would have been a fine statement by Chris Coons (D-CAND, DE-SEN) in last Thursday’s debate*… if only he believed it. You see, one of the people that have often said that the seat in question was “Joe Biden’s seat” is… Chris Coons (D CAND, DE-SEN). We cannot | Read More »
QotD, Not Senator Ma’am’s Day Edition.
So, there has been a veritable litany of bad stimulus-related news lately for California: 12.4% unemployment 110 million in stimulus money in LA = 55 jobs, thanks to, of course, red tape National trust in the administration’s ability to help the economy now underwater, 30/33 …and Barbara Boxer’s reaction? It would’ve been worse without the stimulus (not a direct quote*). Which caused ABC7 political analyst | Read More »
NH-GOV: Stephen (R) now within MoE.
Rasmussen shows a fairly unexpected primary bounce in NH for GOP gubernatorial candidate John Stephen: the race has gone from 50/39 Lynch/Stephen to 48/46 Lynch/Stephen. Polling for this race has been somewhat sparse, but it should be noted that there has been notable movement towards in both the Rasmussen and PPP polls. With the NH-SEN and NH-02 (no good recent polling on NH-01) races showing | Read More »
RedState Gathering: Herman Cain.
Herman Cain spoke at the Gathering earlier this morning, and we had the chance to chat later: Herman Cain’s site is here.
RedState Gathering: Nikki Haley.
These will be filtering out over the next couple of days: the bulk of them may not even be put up until after I can get back home. In the meantime, here’s our quick talk with SC GOV nominee Nikki Haley. Nikki’s site, of course, is here.
RedState Gathering Update: FTR Radio broadcasting live.
FTR Radio – a good bunch of folks, by the way – is covering the entire proceedings, so if you’re not here you can still hear our speakers in real time. Click on the “Listen and Chat” button at the link to get started: you don’t need to register to hear it, but you should register on general principles…
Reid’s Pet (D CAND, DE-SEN) broke promise, raised taxes.
Via The Other McCain and The Tech Guy we see this helpful reminder; as New Castle County’s head official Democratic Senatorial candidate Chris Coons managed to somehow turn an inherited surplus and a firm no-tax pledge into multiple violations of said pledge and Delaware’s most populous county headed towards bankruptcy (by his own admission). And Coons had to preemptively address the tax issue, which is | Read More »
Sen. Michael Bennet (D, CO): Stimulus hypocrite.
Either that, or he’s lost all situational awareness of the relationship between cause and effect. August, 2010: …not only do we have $12 trillion in debt, not only have we mortgaged ourselves to the Chinese, but the tragedy of it is, we have absolutely nothing to show for it, absolutely nothing to show for it. We haven’t invested in our roads, our bridges, our transportation, | Read More »
Maurice Hinchey’s (D, NY-22) Spring-time with Castro.
Because, you know, what’s a little grinding poverty, utter failure of an economic system, routine and widespread violation of human rights, and general nastiness when compared against the need to keep a House seat?
Rick Boucher (D, VA-09) buys new car with campaign money.
Via… Not Larry Sabato, who cannot be happy about the fact that his fully-justified anger at seeing a 14 term Democratic Congressman use campaign finance money to buy himself a nice, new car is now showing up as yet another reason why to vote for Rick Boucher’s opponent Morgan Griffith, who is not using special-interest money to buy himself shiny new automobiles. I know this | Read More »
Charlie Rangel (D, NY-15): ‘Obama needs people like me…’
‘…more than ever‘: Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com Several thoughts:
Meet Chris Coons (D CAND, DE-SEN). Harry Reid’s… pet.
Understandable that this would be said of Chris Coons: after all, look at that happy grin! That marvelous posture! That glossy coat… pelt… erm, skin! Admittedly, this isn’t the best example of the breed in the smarts department – Coons admitted to being a Marxist in his more hirsute days, and we all know that Marxism is intellectualism for stupid people – but smarts aren’t | Read More »
Ovide Lamontagne (NH) shows folks how it’s done.
He has conceded the primary, will not seek a recount, and has endorsed Kelly Ayotte (video here). Ayotte has accepted the concession with equal grace and politeness, calling Lamontagne a gentleman and a principled conservative (H/T: Hot Air). From now on, it’s all about defeating Paul Hodes in the general election. Would that more politicians acted this properly when they lose a primary. Michael Castle | Read More »
