    Dana Carvey, The Rodeo Clown and The Head On A Stick

    You had to feel for the poor guys over on the set of Game of Thrones. They had this scene where King Joffrey took his girlfriend Sansa on a tour of all the heads he’d recently severed,* but were short a few plastic masks to paint up as decaying cadaver heads. They couldn’t seem to locate any Jerry Brown of Arnold Schwarzenegger faces so they were forced, against their better judgment**, to use a facial likeness of President George W. Bush. It’s amazing how accidents happen. It wasn’t anything, you know, political. And who can forget how hilarious Dana Carvey used to be. “A thousand points of light!” he’d intone in his most mocking imitation of a President in the middle of his re-election campaign. But this was “comedy.” He wouldn’t do that to influence any voters, now would he? It’s all in good fun you Crazy Wingnuts, so lighten up.

    Now we get to the amusing goings on over at the Missouri State Fair. It seems a rodeo clown there came up with the idea of running around in front of an angry bull wearing a Barack Obama Mask. It wasn’t hilariously funny. Better than Letterman’s jokes about A-Rod knocking up Sarah Palin’s children between HGH injections, but not on a level with vintage Dana Carvey SNL. The Left was of course tolerate and patient. They deiced to just let the lowbrows do their “Dance of The Sloping Foreheads.” It’s just comedy they reasoned. It can’t hurt anyone. Oh Wait….

    #Waywire: Cory Booker’s Ticket To Board The Torricelli Express

    It was a little over 1 year ago, and Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, NJ launched an IPO to fund his own brainchild; a social media aggregator entitled #Waywire. He felt that he could offer something brand new to the social media industry and speak for younger Americans of The Millennial Generation. His project started with a bang, but appears to be about to end with a thud. Mayor Booker has discovered what many before him have learned already. You can’t lie down with the dogs and not get infested with fleas.

    Booker described his mission as a modernization. “Traditional media is controlled by a handful of companies with one destination and a specific point of view,” Booker said, “while [Millennials] have come of age expecting social media, user-generated voices, the open web and technology led media.” Techli.com wrote a glowing description of the initial success of his IPO.

    The Protocols of the Elders of South Dakota

    When Edward Schumacher-Matos signed to serve as the NPR Ombudsman he probably forgot his hip-boots. He was blissfully unaware that his job description would include a thorough mucking of the Augean Stables. When NPR reporter Laura Sullivan ran a series that accused the state of South Dakota of removing Native American children from reservation homes and farming them out to wealthy Caucasian foster parents to collect federal subsidies for the adoption, he knew that he had stepped into a bear-trap of a professional assignment.

    Schumacher-Matos took Sullivan apart and NPR to task. He detailed five fundamental professional ethics violations that occurred in the reporting of the story. He gets straight to the point below.

    The series committed five sins that violate NPR’s code of standards and ethics. They were:
    1. No proof for its main allegations of wrongdoing;
    2. Unfair tone in communicating these unproven allegations;
    3. Factual errors, shaky anecdotes and misleading use of data by quietly switching what was being measured;
    4. Incomplete reporting and lack of critical context;
    5. No response from the state on many key points.

    What The American Orwell State Can and Can’t Secure

    What a society can and cannot protect speaks volumes about its underlying values. America has increasingly degenerated into a nation that indulgences in over the top, bullying security theatre while proving itself increasingly unable to protect things that are actually important. Congressman Jeff Duncan recently toured an IRS facility and saw agents firing AR-15s. He couldn’t help but wonder what these were for.

    “I think Americans raise eyebrows when you tell them that IRS agents are training with a type of weapon that has stand-off capability. It’s not like they’re carrying a sidearm and they knock on someone’s door and say, ‘You’re evading your taxes,’” Duncan said

    UVA student Elizabeth Daly will think twice about ever reaching for the cookie dough and bottled water at Harris-Teeter in Charlottesville, VA. It seems the crack para-military agents of the VA Alcoholic Beverage Control Gestapo were concerned that somehow that bottled water was more than just bottled water.

    This Just In From The United Methodist Church – Liberalism Is What The Godly Inflict on Other People.

    “We believe it is a governmental responsibility to provide all citizens with health care.”

    – The law book of The United Methodist Church.

    In 2010, Bishop Gregory Palmer rejoiced at the passage of ObamaCare. Pace Nancy Pelosi, the good bishop hadn’t yet seen what was in the bill. Apparently, his fellow clergymen aren’t unified in rejoicing. The Spirit no longer moves them to the left of Jean Paul Sartre now that their theological position is freighted with real-world consequence.

    It’s fortunate that the United Methodist Church Law Book doesn’t regard providing healthcare as a church responsibility. Now that they’ve found out what’s actually in ObamaCare they are hypocritical towards one of St. Paul’s pithier aphorisms (Galatians 6:7).

    The Bad Side To Voting For Santa Claus

    So I take my smart-alecky little boy over to our town library. He likes anything in the Diary of The Wimpy Kid series. My boy checks a couple of them out. No sooner do we get in the car and he’s back there laughing at chapter one. This entry in the diary could be entitled Why Santa Claus is a Creep. It seems that the kid protagonist has just meditated upon Santa Claus and doesn’t much like the resulting Dark Enlightenment. It seems the guy sees him when he’s sleeping (no diving under the covers Commando), knows when he’s awake, knows if he’s been bad or good, so he’d better be good for goodness sake! To quote Cipher Reagan: “What a mind-job!”

    The Categorical Imperative Should Be Applied to ObamaCare.

    Categorical Imperative

    2. the unconditional command of conscience.

    (HT: Dictionary.com)

    The United States Government stores a bunch of silly documents written maybe 230 years ago. I’m not sure why. The writing is well-nigh illegible and Ezra Klien assures us that people just don’t get documents written over 100 years ago. They should recycle the paper. The US Government certainly doesn’t believe all the silly things written in the Declaration of Independence. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,…” Seriously?

    Bill S., a fellow Frontpage Writer at RS.com, offers us a flagrant example of just how much of a joke our current Presidential Administration considers the words from the Declaration that I cited above. Apparantly, if the government official in question works for a member of The United States Congress then implying that any of them are created equal will get you served with a Writ of YAFKM.* They certainly are not created equally when OPM bills them for their health plans. As you can read below, some people are created more equal and will be receiving a discount that the rest of us just aren’t getting.

    Disability Insurance: A Hand Up, A Hand-out or A Human Warehousing Program?

    No reason to get excited.
    The Thief he kindly spoke.
    There are many here among us,
    Who feel that life is but a joke.

    – Bob Dylan, “All Along The Watchtower.”

    The old, off-color joke used to go like this: “What does the suburban American housewife do with her (expletive)-hole every morning?” “Send him to work.” Now it appears there is more money to be made in sending him to the welfare store instead. Compared to collecting disability, work in lower compensation postions is increasingly being viewed as a sucker’s game. A 2009 survey by the SSA found the following:

    Recipients of federal disability checks often admit that they are capable of working but cannot or will not find a job, that those closest to them tell them they should be working, and that working to get off the disability rolls is not among their goals. More baffling, most have never received significant medical treatment and not seen a doctor about their condition in the last year, even though medical problems are the official reason they don’t work. Those who acknowledge they’re on disability because they can’t find a job say they make little effort to find one, according to a Washington Examiner analysis of federal survey results.

    The Liberal Media Intel Operation That Supports The War On Women

    Once upon a time there was this Conservative Republican. He was the type of guy who never did anything without reading the NT and praying on it a bit first. He was running for mayor of a big city. Then his opponent found a letter written which described how this guy went after women like a Remora fish that hadn’t been fed for a couple of days. The salacious details follow below.

    “More than one of us transferred out of his ‘territory’ to avoid his ‘advances,’ ” the letter said. ‘Any claim he makes to holding the ‘high moral ground’ is simply ridiculous, if not self-delusional.” The letter writers added, “Because we choose to remain anonymous, this letter may just be tossed into the round file. We’ll take that risk because even though our purpose is to ‘expose’ him, we know not to trust him, his methods, or his tendency towards revenge.” According to the letter, “Many women in D.C. refer to (xxxx) as ‘Bobo,’ ‘Mr. Misogynist,’ ‘Nasty Narcissist,’ or simply ‘Filthy xxxxxx.’ “

    The politician’s career ended within six hours. Bryan Ross whinged in affected sanctimony over the false morality of the repugnant family values crowd. George Stephanopoulos reminded us in somber tones of how important this breaking news really and truly was. Except there’s just one problem with the scenario I’ve laid upon the table. A big-time politician really ran for mayor after exhibiting these behaviors and doing all the things the letter later expressed in lurid detail. It’s just that this politician, Bob Filner was a Progressive Leftist and therefore a sympathetic journalistic establishment swept all the unpleasant truths under the table. This is the Intel Ops component to the Elitist Left’s #WaronWomen.

    Obama’s Economics – Equality At The Zero

    President Barack Obama was talking economy again the 24th of July. This is typically the topic he comes back to after every other topic he could discuss seems to be one about which he should zip his soup cooler. The bromides flew like Japanese Beetles during an infestation. He seems to have noticed the high level of inequality between the average American and the typical student at the Punahou Academy. He dusts off his old copy of Resnick and Wolff below.

    “This growing inequality isn’t just morally wrong; it’s bad economics,” he told his Galesburg, Illinois audience. “When middle-class families have less to spend, businesses have fewer customers. When wealth concentrates at the very top, it can inflate unstable bubbles that threaten the economy. When the rungs on the ladder of opportunity grow farther apart, it undermines the very essence of this country.”

    Dirk Diggler For President

    A few months ago, I was reading RS.com and just had to unplug and take a nice walk in the woods. It was that or the barf bag. It seems we were endorsing a somewhat defective Congressional Candidate from South Carolina. A man who generally had Conservative views when he did his thinking with the head attached to his neck. That, of course, was the Infamous Mark Sanford. We were promised up and down that he had figured out the tricky difference between Appalachian Trail and Argentinean Tail. Yep, he’s back in the saddle and it’s time to assess how that’s been working out for us. With Mark all elected, every opportunistic Dem was crowing about the hypocrisy of the “Family Values Party.”

    Causation, Correlation and Detroit

    Let us stipulate that the collapse of Detroit, MI and its recent Chapter Nine bankruptcy filing represents an all-American train wreck of inexcusable dimension. Detroit went from being considered by some the Athens of The West to having a credit rating and crime problem more reminiscent of the Mogadishu of The Midlands. So many people are blamed for the current state of Detroit. But most of what you read is patently illogical.

    Those who have no desire to deal with the truth tend to deliberately invert the mechanisms by which Detroit, MI was reduced to an ash heap reminiscent of Hiroshima without the expenditure of thermonuclear ordnance. The general technique of obscuring what went wrong in Detroit is to deliberately conflate causation with correlation. I’ve read a lot of biased writing over the last few days about Detroit. In every case, the thesis of the article, editorial, or blog post involves describing a result of Detroit’s stupidity as the fountainhead of the stupid itself.

    On The Cover Of A Rolling Stone

    The year was 1972 and the Rock Group Dr. Hook paid light-hearted homage to the media presence that was then Rolling Stone Magazine in the video above. Getting your picture on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine was a significant career milestone. It differentiated rock stars from journeyman acts that hadn’t quite made it all the way up the ladder quite yet. In the year AD 2013, it appears the standards have fallen precipitously.

    As you can see in the picture above, this month’s issue features a murderous, delusional welfare bum who probably couldn’t figure out how to connect a Fender Strat-O-Caster to it’s attendent amp. Making it to the cover of the Rolling Stone Magazine is yet another place where societal decline has set in and we all have to just accept a certain haunting sense of ennui. We should make allowances for the inevitable lowering of norms that comes with sacrificing previous cultural maxims to the vital and necessary dogmas of multicultural acceptance and diverse, coexistence within…WRRRRIIIPPP!!!!!

    Organized Labor Gets Made To Obamacare

    The Presidential Administration of Barack H. Obama always looks out for the little guy. They strike him center of mass. They then back up the yuppified SUV and run him over several more times. You gotta’ get the job done right to succeed in DC these days.

    Now that was just plain cynical. It was also mean. So mean that three of sleaziest leaders of organized thuggerylabor agree with my assessment. At least they agree with it as applied to the American Affordable Care Act of 2009. Having finally figured out what the right has been telling them for years, these wise men wrote leading minions of Emperor Barack I a missive to plead for a writ of indulgence with respect to the terrible, unworkable, destructive legislation that we all affectionately refer to as Obamacare.

    Zimmerman, Martin and The Failed American Melting Pot.

    I hope the Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman Fiasco has given The House of Representatives something to think about before they even consider bringing The Gang of Eight Bill to the floor of the House of Representatives for a vote. We should stipulate as an obvious given that the American Melting Pot has recently failed at making our nation more peaceful and prosperous. Like the Late Roman Empire prior to its disaster at Adrianople in AD 378, we assimilate diverse cultures no better than The Emperor Gratian could assimilate the Goths.

    Unassimilated minorities in America typically hate the place. They frequently have valid and legitimate gravamen for their hatred. Anyone who looks at the rates at which African-Americans are aborted, shot, fail out of school and wind up either jobless or incarcerated couldn’t be entirely blamed for believing that most of the rest of America is attempting to eject them from our culture the way a white blood cell attacks a hostile bacteria. Absent any back-story, I really can’t blame them for hating my guts as a nameless, faceless White Man on a visceral level. Now quit being shocked. I only differ from the herd by being proudly uncultured enough to state the obvious and unpalatable truth.
