Romney Campaign’s Latest Scapegoat: Chris Christie
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | November 21st at 04:48 AM |
Over the past two weeks, many potential scapegoats have been floated by Romney supporters, staffers, and even Romney himself. So far, none of them have caught on. Most objective observers have concluded that a deeply flawed candidate ran a deeply flawed campaign. It’s understandable that those with so much invested in Romney’s candidacy would point fingers. They all have reputations and resumes to protect, and | Read More »
Apologies To Sarah Palin
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | November 10th at 07:05 PM |
In light of the revelation that Romney-Ryan received fewer votes than McCain-Palin, despite running against an incumbent president with the worst record in our nation’s history, I think it’s time to lay the theory that Sarah Palin cost McCain the election to rest. In fact, I would argue that McCain would have lost by a much bigger margin without her on the ticket. He is | Read More »
7 Million Fewer White Voters Than 2008?
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | November 10th at 07:29 AM |
That’s what Sean Trende from Real Clear Politics has concluded. As we speak, Mitt Romney has 58,237,566 total votes. In 2008, the Republican ticket garnered 59,934,814 votes, or nearly 1.7 million more than Romney-Ryan. Yes, there are still some votes to be counted, but very few at the time of this posting. See for yourself here. All but a handful of states have reported 100% | Read More »
Akin and Mourdock did not hurt Romney
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | November 10th at 06:51 AM |
The notion that Akin and Mourdock’s comments cost Romney the election is utter nonsense. The following is all the evidence needed to destroy that argument. The comments had absolutely ZERO effect on the presidential race in Indiana or Missouri. We’re supposed to believe that they influenced voters in Florida and Ohio to vote for Obama? Please…………. Missouri Romney: 53.9% Obama: 44.3% RCP Missouri presidential race | Read More »
More Mormons Voted For Bush Than For Romney
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | November 9th at 11:00 AM |
Here’s an interesting data point from Tuesday’s election. George Bush actually received a larger share of the Mormon vote in 2004, as compared to Romney in 2012. 2004 Bush: 80% Kerry: 19% 2012 Romney: 78% Obama: 21% Considering that the 2004 turnout greatly exceeded that of 2012, I assume Bush received many more Mormon votes in terms of the raw vote total as well. Biden: ‘I Have a Beautiful Home, You Pay Me a lot of Money’
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 23rd at 08:20 AM |
At this point, I don’t think it’s a matter of if Hillary Clinton will replace Uncle Joe on the ticket, but when. I’m beginning to wonder if the recent gaffes are intentional. H/T The Weekly Standard
Deb Fischer Surges Into The Lead On The Eve Of Nebraska GOP Senate Primary; Update: New Facebook Note From Palin; Update: Herman Cain Endorses Fischer
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 14th at 07:29 PM |
On the eve of Nebraska’s GOP Senate primary, We Ask America has Deb Fischer surging into the lead. As you can see from the chart below, that is a remarkable 21 point swing over a period of one week. According to the pollster, it sounds like Fischer has benefited from significant financial support from TD Ameritrade founder, Joe Ricketts. However, something else happened in the | Read More »
Sarah Palin Endorses Ted Cruz For Senate In Texas
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 10th at 09:39 PM |
*Click on the image above to donate to the Cruz campaign* This endorsement by Palin is an absolute home run, in my opinion. As of about two weeks ago, Cruz was trailing by 12 points, but gaining on the current front runner, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. I predict this will put Cruz over the top. Palin’s statement from the press release: …..“We’re proud to join | Read More »
Missouri GOP Senate Candidate Brunner Slams Sarah Palin For Rhetoric And “Cross-hairs” Map
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 9th at 11:11 PM |
Apparently, Missouri GOP Senate candidate, John Brunner isn’t counting on support from the grass-roots of the party in advance of the August primary election. In a radio interview with Dana Loesch, he was asked how he felt about Sarah Palin’s use of the word, “reload” and her utilization of the “cross-hairs” map, which targeted congressional Democrats for defeat in the November 2010 elections. I find | Read More »
Palin Endorses Deb Fischer For US Senate In Nebraska
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 9th at 12:09 PM |
Sarah Palin has officially endorsed Deb Fischer in Nebraska’s upcoming GOP primary election. Fischer has represented Nebraska’s largest district in the state’s unicameral legislature since 2004. You can read more about her here. I’m not all that familiar with the Nebraska GOP Senate race, but it appears as though Fischer is polling within the margin of error of the current Nebraska Attorney General, Jon Bruning | Read More »
Primary Election Results Open Thread
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 8th at 06:36 PM |
I thought I’d post this in case anyone wants to discuss tonight’s election results. The race that has generated the most buzz is Richard Mourdock’s challenge to 36 year incumbant Senator, Dick Lugar in Indiana. Also of interest to many across the nation, is the ballot measure in North Carolina to pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage as being between a man and a woman. | Read More »
Black Lab Acts As Golden Retriever’s Seeing Eye Dog
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | May 1st at 06:24 PM |
You don’t have to be a dog lover to be touched by this story. Tanner is a Golden Retriever who is blind in both eyes due to being born with cataracts. He also suffers from a seizure disorder, which causes him to lose control of his bladder and bowels. He was eventually given up to a dog rescue organization, and was almost put down. Obama At White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Pit Bulls Taste Better Than Sarah Palin
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 29th at 12:10 AM |
I didn’t bother to watch President Obama’s speech at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. However, I did catch wind of this lame attempt at humor. He took a swipe at Sarah Palin by making light of his taste for dog meat. Apparently, he thinks Pit Bulls are “delicious,” or something. The joke went over like a lead balloon. Even Michelle Obama looked perplexed by it. | Read More »
Palin Goes RINO Hunting – Mourdock For Senate In Indiana
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 27th at 06:43 PM |
Sarah Palin set the tone for the Senate and Congressional primary season today by taking aim at one the most vulnerable RINO incumbents in the country – Indiana Senator, Dick Lugar. I must confess, I did not know just how liberal Lugar was until I did a little research today. I agree whole-heartedly with Palin. It’s time to retire Lugar. Here’s a portion of her | Read More »
Romney Needs To Thoroughly Vet VP Pick To Avoid 2008 Disaster
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 26th at 04:52 PM |
Now that Mitt Romney has the GOP nomination sewn up, the debate over who the VP nominee should be is heating up. Will Romney pick a young rising star, like Florida Senator, Marco Rubio? Or, will he pick an experienced DC insider, like Ohio Senator, Rob Portman. One thing is for certain. Mitt Romney will not make the same mistake that a certain presidential candidate | Read More »
Mark Levin Is Fed Up With The Palin Bashing From The Right (Audio)
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 25th at 11:13 PM |
As I noted earlier this week, some on the right are joining the left in the trashing of Sarah Palin and McCain’s VP vetting process. Mark Levin has apparently had enough. He didn’t mention names, but I believe he was talking about this. Levin reminded his listeners who generated the excitement for the 2008 GOP ticket….”It wasn’t John McCain….many of us voted for him because | Read More »
Enough With The False Narrative About Palin’s Vetting
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 23rd at 11:41 PM |
There has been ample discussion as of late about potential Vice Presidential candidates. A few weeks ago, I started to notice a theme developing – designed to discredit Sarah Palin and the amount of vetting that was done prior to adding her to the ticket in 2008. Nearly every MSM article about the topic suggested that the GOP nominee would be more cautious in | Read More »
Romney Requires Delegates To Sign A Loyalty Pledge For Handshake And Photo
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 22nd at 04:54 PM |
It’s no secret that a significant portion of the GOP base has reservations about Mitt Romney’s commitment to the conservative principles he has espoused throughout the battle for the party’s nomination. Considering that he likely has the nomination sewn up, you would think that a gathering of GOP delegates, RNC members, and state GOP chairmen would present the perfect opportunity for Mitt to win over | Read More »
Obama Campaign Warns GOP Against Selecting Rubio For VP
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 22nd at 02:01 AM |
Despite spearheading the effort to grant amnesty to millions of illegals in 2006, John McCain lost the Hispanic vote by a margin of 67-31 in 2008. That’s a far cry from the 40% that George W. Bush received in his narrow victory in 2004. Last week, I wrote about the rapid growth of the Hispanic population in a number of crucial swing states. I | Read More »
If I Had A Dog…..
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 21st at 02:06 PM |
The story about Obama’s affinity for dog meat has just about run its course. Like many others, I’m ready for the respective campaigns to start talking about the issues. However, I just couldn’t resist taking one last shot! Cross post
Romney Is Having A Ron Paul Problem At Minnesota’s District Conventions
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 17th at 10:09 PM |
There are still four more District conventions to go. So far, Ron Paul has 10 delgates. Santorum has 2. Romney has zip. Mitt Romney may be the supposed frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination – but he’s not the most popular GOP candidate in Minnesota. Texas Congressman Ron Paul swept the 3rd, 5th and 6th Congressional District conventions over the weekend. Paul landed nine of | Read More »
David Brooks Still Likes The Crease In Obama’s Pants
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 17th at 01:35 PM |
“Conservative” New York Times columnist, David Brooks must have bumped his head on the way to his keyboard before he wrote this. Either that, or he’s still enamoured with the crease in Obama’s pants. He starts off being critical of Obama’s failure to address the debt crisis. He subsequently proceeds to regurgitate the talking points given to him by the administration. Finally, he summarizes that | Read More »
Without Rubio On The Ticket, Romney Cannot Win
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 15th at 11:58 PM |
Pew Research has done a great job of summarizing the growing influence of the Hispanic vote. The bad news (from an electoral standpoint) is that this heavily Democrat leaning segment of the electorate is growing at an alarming rate in several swing states. The good news is that Bush proved that a downward trend of Hispanic support for Republican candidates can be reversed. Here is | Read More »
It’s Time For The Right To Move Past The Hillary Rosen Gaffe
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 14th at 11:20 AM |
The Hillary Rosen gaffe is a gift to Obama. Why? Because it buys Obama a few days of not having to talk about high unemployment, soaring gas prices, and a crushing national debt. Obama would like nothing more than to keep the debate over the “war on women” going until November. Furthermore, very few people care what some third string CNN contributor says anyway. Sure, | Read More »
Conservatives: Make Romney Earn Your Vote
By: rightwingnut2 (Diary) | April 13th at 11:57 PM |
For the past several weeks, the elite factions of the GOP have implored conservatives to throw in the towel and line up behind Mitt Romney. Considering that several of these individuals had either been highly critical of Mitt, or had withheld their support until his nomination was all but assured, I have to assume that much of this support is tepid at best. There is | Read More »
