Who’s cut Medicare?

I have been amazed all week at the glowing reports from almost everyone in the left-wing media about the McClatchy-Marist poll showing that 70% of Americans don’t want Medicare and Medicaid touched. Every time they have had a chance to question a conservative or member of the GOP they’ve grilled them incessantly over the poll results. The question in response that needs to be asked | Read More »

    Is Miller the New Murkowski?

Watching the drips and drabs of information coming from the Alaska Senate race it is getting apparent that Joe Miller has taken the whining mantle away from Lisa Murkowski. Setting aside politics for the moment it is clear Miller is doing exactly what he complained Murkowski was doing, not going away dignified. I know it’s not exactly the same as it was clear she lost | Read More »

The end of the Palin effect?

I know this may be blasphemy for many here at RedState, but the question has to be asked, is this the end of Sarah Palin’s influence as a Queen maker? Many of her high profile candidates she was pushing didn’t win and were not very good candidates – Angle, Miller, O’Donnell, and Buck were poor candidates who lost elections that were there for the GOP taking. | Read More »

Did the Obama Administration sign off on the release of Megrahi?

This seems like an interesting story for an enterprising journalist, which I’m not. The one network, unbelievably, focusing on this is MSNBC the past two mornings on the Morning Joe show. Scarborough, Mika, and the crew all seem to agree that it is implausible for the Obama administration to not have known and even signed off on his release.   Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, | Read More »

    Liberals’ Don’t Understand the Enemy

I’ve been reading various op-ed’s today and it has become clear, LIBERALS DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ENEMY. They are just exasperated, they cannot understand why so many people spontaneously have banded together (all the reasons they have given are just phony) and protested. Their world has been turned upside down; liberals protest, conservatives vote, has been their belief since the 60′s. They’ve claimed it’s Limbaugh, | Read More »

Has America lost it’s appetite for Feedom and Liberty?

I think the clear answer to that is NO, however I’m not sure President Obama and the liberal left in Congress has the same opinion. Lately I’ve been trying to remember whether I’ve ever heard President Obama ever use the words “liberty and freedom” to describe his vision for America. (Would someone with a LexisNexis account and who knows how to properly search see if | Read More »

    Fear of “Racism”

Why is it that with the discussion over the Gates situation racism claims and Obama’s falling poll #’s do I feel that there is going to be a link? I’m beginning to think that the racism charge is about to be levied against all of us who don’t believe in his policy positions as the default response to his receding popularity. With the upcoming Obama/Gates/Crowley Beer Meeting, who thinks | Read More »

    The “Single Payer” Kabuki Dance

I’m amazed that day after day, week after week, liberal Democratic leaders who do not have to stand for re-election letting out the secret they believe that the only real solution is a “single payer” system. I’ve seen Howard Dean claim it is the only real solution on CNBC, Elliot Spitzer the same on MSNBC, and now Ted Kennedy telling it to anyone who will | Read More »

What if the public plan is just like the Post Office?

Obama keeps asking the question, sarcastically as if to make light of Republican arguments, that if the public plan is so bad no one will want it anyway. What if he is right, but doesn’t realize it (or maybe he does), that there could be a real difference in quality of choice and thereby care, much like there is between the Post Office and FedEx, | Read More »

Even Democrats know he failed to close the deal

Here it is 9:50 on Thursday, June 25th, the morning after Pres.Obama’s big sell of his health care bill on ABC and everywhere I look there is no or very little mention of it. Amazingly the Huffpo doesn’t even have one single headline, blog, or lead of  what happened. The kids over at Kos have nothing to say about his performance, only just the general discussion | Read More »

    Obama vs. Profits

Why is it every time Obama says anything about private business he has to make a disparaging remark about profits? Yesterday in his news conference he was asked about  the private vs. public plans and the only good reason he good give for the public plan was that there would be no PROFIT in the public plan. He has repeatedly talked about redistributionist policies either | Read More »

Specter, the gift that keeps on giving, sorta

I noticed in Rasmussen today that 45% polled think the rest of the stimulus should be cancelled, 51% favor an accross the board tax cut, and 53% believe government spending is bad for the economy, see: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll Specter’s vote for this in a weird and strange way gives the GOP  a platform moving forward; by him voting for it and then jumping ship for the Donkey’s allows the | Read More »

    The Beginning of the End?

On Rasmussen today, for the first time, the Daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows there are as many who Strongly Disapprove as those who Strongly Approve of Obama. Additionally the more generic approve/disapprove number is at a low of 54/46%. Reading between the lines of the polls it appears that Obama’s “cult of celebrity” is beginnig to wear thin. The reason that we know this is | Read More »

Financial Reality is Hitting Obama Squarely Between the Eyes

As I read Redstate, Hotair, Drudge….. watch Fox, CNBC and even MSNBC I’ve come to the conclusion that the finacial change Obama’s been talking about is hitting it’s apex and could very likely begin to fall. The growing and unmistakeable drumbeat regarding his redistributionist policies are starting to mount against him from all directions. Additionally, don’t be suprised if even some staunch supporters in the | Read More »
