I posted this, to the best of my knowledge, original idea over at Right Nation.
I thought of it after reading Malkin’s bit about the Pork demonstrations against the ’stimulus’ bill, and some subsequent rallies.
I noted that there have been several almost ad hoc efforts to send Senator Schummer loads and loads of Pork Rinds to protest the spending that is attendant to seemingly EVERY program the liberal government has.
But I am somewhat surprised at the lack of outrage at the “chattering class” portion of Senator Schummer’s comments.
So……feeling that the Senator from New York is in desperate need of reminders of just who the “chattering class” is, I proposed the following.
Do NOT send Pork products to Senator Schummer’s Office.
Instead, buy and send Chattering Teeth Toys!
Imagine the potential of a properly orchestrated effort to send hundreds of thousands of Chattering Teeth Toys to the Senator who believes that no one in America listens to his disgusting comments!
I don’t know how to manage or even plan something like this, but I suspect someone does!
I just think that receiving tons and tons of a basically worthless product, ones that even a charity wouldn’t be likely to want, would be a grand Public Relations slap in the face!
And returning, many times over, the slap in the face that Senator Schummer gave anyone who disagrees with the spending monstrosity that is Porkulus I……sounds like a great idea to me!

For all the ‘non stimulus’ spending (otherwise known as Pork) in the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act” (or whatever it’s final version name is going to be), there is one thing that seems overwhelming to me, and underwhelming commented on.
And that is the pace at which it is “working” it’s way through Congress.
Perhaps I missed the memo, but I don’t recall that legislation of a non emergency nature, and rarely even those, moves through the whole House, Senate, Conference process this quickly, EVER!
Perhaps the Patriot Act after 9/11.
Oops, never mind, THAT was emergency legislation.
And perhaps there have been others, post Katrina comes to mind, but even so, to some extent, the need for those was mostly pretty easily identified. (I know, a lot of non Katrina crap got stuffed into this “emergency” bill, but most was identified for more direct Katrina/Rita relief, no?)
So, why would the Democrats, who have an absolute majority in both houses of Congress (the ‘moderate’ Republicans have sold their souls to the liberal devil, and certainly can’t/won’t be part of any filibuster now.) look to rush this bill through, probably to be signed by Mr Obama before the weekend?
What do they know is in there, that would cause even the most ardent liberal voter to object?
Last I heard, the bill was something like 700 pages long and, no doubt, growing with every passing second. And I don’t doubt for a second that there isn’t a single Representative or Senator who understands even 20% of it.
But I’ll bet my last dime that Obama, Reid of Nevada, and Pelosi know the specific parts that would cause even Mr Obama to have to reconsider signing it.
When whatever it/they are that is so outrageous that the American people will belatedly raise their voices in opposition is finally made public, it will be to late.
Which is the ONLY reason I can think of for such speed in getting this monster established as the law.
Kind of like the way the first TARP bill moved through.
And likely with pretty much the same results.

of the things about the Porkulus Bill that the Charmer in Chief Obama, Queen of America Pelosi and Dingy Harry Reid of the Senate are pushing so damned hard, and it’s only ONE of the things, that bugs the Holy Hell out of me is how all these previously named Liberal A$$hats are being allowed to get away with blaming the entire economy mess on President Bush and the Republicans.
As if the Democrats weren’t in charge of the Congress for the last two years of The Bush Era!
As if the Democrats in Congress, for years and years, didn’t stand shoulder to shoulder in the way of any meaningful regulation of the Government backed Financial entities, Freddie anf Fannie, that are at the root of the housing crisis, which is/was at the core of the economic crisis.
And most of all to me, that the newly crowned Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. “I didn’t understand the tax laws”, is declared the

ONLY

person on the planet who can solve the problem.
However, what I don’t hear ANYONE, not ANYONE at all, reminding anyone else is that when his name first came out as the ‘wonder kid’ who was perfectly, and singularly, suited to save the country, and maybe even the world, ONE of the reasons he was touted was that he had been

principally involved in preparation of TARP, management of TARP and knew more about it then ANYONE else in the Universe

The same TARP that it was reported wasted 78 BILLION dollars in crap buys of toxic assets!
78 BILLION of the first 350 Billion spent was tossed into the gutter!

over 20% of the funds

, and he has just been put in charge of the remaining 350 Billion!
Can we expect another 20% waste?
Will the total amount of wasted TARP money be in the neighborhood of 156 BILLION dollars?????
And, as I said earlier, even those who on the financial shows are calling for his immediate dismissal as Secretary of the Treasury, are not mentioning this little fact!
Nope, all they are doing is talking about how his tax problems are/were so much more egregious then Daschle or the woman who bailed from the Chief Performance Officer job!!
Where the fact noted above, IMO, shows that the so called most brilliant man in the world, the ONLY dude who understands and can manage the remaining TARP funds, and whatever hundred of BILLIONS in the Porkulus bill, screwed it up the first time around!
What the heck is it with people, supposedly smart and knowledgeable, that they simply won’t call a spade a spade, and DEMAND that Tim Geithner be given the bums rush out the fraking door???

Blame it on Al Gore, the self described inventor of the INTERNET.

OK, to be completely fair, he did not say that exactly, but pretty close.

He certainly allowed the claim to persist, even if only as something of a joke.

Like the Big Lie, even a joke, if repeated often enough, becomes something that enough people believe that it becomes, for all practicable purposes, the truth.

So, I cannot and will not give Mr. Obama a “chance”, and it ALL begins with the INTERNET.

One day, a long, Long, LONG time ago, at least as far as web time goes, there was the beginning of what is now being declared the most efficient political campaign for the Presidency ever. I mean EVER!! At least that’s the claim of just about every pundit on the planet.

And it is a bit difficult to not acknowledge the fact that whatever else I might think of Mr. Obama, he was the darkest of dark horses, perhaps the most unlikely person in American history to win the Oval Office.

Most any other candidate for even the Senate of the United States would have failed because of a singular lack of experience. Exactly how he managed to win the Senate seat from Illinois is not the subject of this little rant, although it no doubt would have shed a lot of light on what was to come. And is coming now that he has attained the highest office in the land.

In any event, back on my own self imposed topic……

When Mr. Obama was working like the devil just to develop name recognition in the early Democratic Primaries and Caucuses, fighting an apparent vertical uphill battle against the presumed Democratic Candidate, Mrs. Bill Clinton, no one gave him much of a chance.

Oh there was talk about how wonderful and soaring his speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention was. How he was a rising star in the Democratic Party, and would, in some future year maybe be the first black President. But no one with the misapplied title “political expert” was looking at anyone but Hillary for not only the Democratic nomination, but the first Female President of the United States. People just  knew that the vaunted Clinton Machine, along with an, at the time, huge war chest, would be a shoe in for the Democratic nominations AND the quick run to the Presidency.

Again, how Mr. Obama managed to destroy not only many other Democratic want-to-be candidates, but take the “Inevitable” crown away from Mrs. Bill Clinton is subject matter for a different screed.

As I said, back when Mr. Obama was struggling just to get his name known, before the Iowa caucuses, there was a left winger over at a different Conservative site (Right Nation (shameless plug)) who provided me a link to the pamphlet that the Obama campaign had sent to many people in Iowa.

It was called “The Blueprint for Change”.

It was 40 or so pages long, as PDF document’s add or shed pages depending on various things.

I downloaded the file, and read through it.

Then I took a little more time, and read it again.

Then I spent a whole lot of time, reading and re-reading it.

And it scared the Holy Hell out of me!

Not because it represented a direct threat to me, but because it seemed to encapsulate every bad, rotten, “guaranteed to fail” liberal idea I had ever heard of!

It listed, without bothering to talk about costs, all the different programs and increases in Government everything he had in mind.

It talked of a Corps for just about every social engineering plan I have ever heard of, and all at Federal Government expense.

It showed how Mr. Obama intended to grow Government to the point that it would be easier to list things Government wasn’t intruding on then the opposite.

From child birth to college education.

Every single aspect of health care.

Saving for retirement.

Inner city gangs, unemployment, failing schools…..

The list of Social issues alone was massive.

On foreign policy, Mr. Obama clearly intended to progress to the past, citing some imagined new Diplomacy trick to return America to the equally imagined love fest of years past.

I could go on and on about his stated plans for imagined reduction in our dependence on foreign oil, or fuel efficiency standards, or a new energy grid, or broadband connectivity for all.

But the point I want to make, the point that means that I cannot and will not give him a ‘chance’ is that he laid out his agenda long before there was any belief that he would ever be in a position to enact it.

And I decided that for me, my family, and the Country that I Love, his plans, agenda, and intent to move this country to the social/political left even a little, and his path is way more then a ‘little’, was unacceptable to me.

His pick of so many former Clinton Administration Officials, along with some decidedly unsavory others in lesser known positions, proves to me that his “Govern from the Center” is nothing but a slogan.

The center of what?
Certainly not the center of anything resembling a reasonable split of the political spectrum!

So, in summation, I will not sit quietly by and watch as Mr. Barack Obama very obviously takes this country into the cesspool of yet another failed Socialism Experiment.

I’ll point out, to whatever audience I can, every step to the left. Every single item I can find in every liberal proposed bill in the Congress, for the Oval Office is not the only place this agenda of socialism is being crafted.

And if that means I am somehow ‘failing’ to give Mr. Obama a “chance”, well that’s correct.

I’m Not giving him, or his socialist agenda, a chance.

Because I have no interest what so ever in living in the kind of toilet bowl country that would result if he is successful!
