Obama Meets His Match, Smacked Down, and…

…Surrenders?

The rumor is going around that Obama is becoming undone. Some of us here have spoken of this privately, analytically, and I think there is something to it. Fingers point to his narcissism, which I think is a contributing factor, as well as a fear of being revealed as a poseur, or worse, a Chauncy Gardiner, i.e., not quite as bright as he lets on.

This is only my take, but until more evidence comes around, I’m standing by it.

Awhile back I wrote that someone needed to slap the taste, and the arrogance, right out of Baraq Obama’s mouth. It was not my normal kind of writing, I was angry.

“And the taste for it needs to be slapped right out of his mouth…by someone in public authority. A governor. An RNC leader. A senator. Hell, maybe even a lonely, solitary representative might do…

Now I feel better. Someone very much in authority has done just that, for little did I know someone was always lurking in the White House, with the full force and authority of the American People…and History…to wipe that smarmy little grin off the grill of that human taxi-cab coming down the street with both doors wide open.

Going back to the beginning of our Nation rarely had that old fellow been ignored for very long in the White House without someone earning a taste of the back of his hand. Even Bill Clinton. He has been so pervasive in prior administrations everyone just naturally took his presence for granted. For the most part, just knowing he was there defined the way people acted, spoke, and dressed in the White House. He had an aura.

Then enter Obama One and wife, Obama Two, both of whom apparently have never been introduced to this man in all their adult lives. In fact, it’s rumored, and circumstantial evidence seems to bear out, that they had run from the mere mention of his name for many years. They brought a hatred, nay, even a fear of him into the White House, even though neither could recognize him without a flashing neon name tag. They despised him on reputation alone. It seems unfamiliarity also breeds contempt.

For some reason, perhaps out of naivete or self-absorption, they came to Washington not expecting to see this fellow in the White House at all. Still, there he stood, on Day One, at the ready, his arms filled with reams of anything but frankincense and myrrh.

Alas, upon being introduced to him, both Obamas attempted to banish him to the White House basement, each pledging to the other to spend as little time as possible in that awful place “he” called home. Indeed, their short tenure in the White House has been marked by their efforts to keep from being found in the same room as that old codger, averting their glances downward when he walked into the room.

He simply was not supposed to be a part of the personal contract the Obamas assumed they’d made with the American people. Still, there he was.

His name: Work.

To Baraq Obama “Labor” is a proper noun, not a verb. Little did he believe, or understand, that once he assumed the Office, that this fellow came with it. He was on duty 24/7, never slept, still, every day…not just some of the days…but every Mother-loving day…as sure as he’d show up to the office at 9:00 to grab a cuppa Joe (OK, cafe parfait), kick back, maybe light up a Marlboro (Extra Light), look over a speech, or travel itinerary, watch a vid of his last speech, Ol’ Work would jump out of that anteroom just off the Oval Office, clean shaven, bright-eyed and bushy tailed, looking as if he’d just come from the gym…holding another g-d ream of papers that needed to be sorted through, reviewed, signed…and a totally revised schedule of the day’s events, where neatly crossed out was the brunch on the yacht in the Potomac, the after-lunch golf game, the quick ride out to Chicago to shoot hoops, substituted by some silly meeting with the Cabinet, and a briefing on the nukes in Iran.

Gad! With no than 600 days of seeing this remorseless ogre of a man in the office, on the plane, always standing around with that damned stack of papers in his arms, at 7 AM, Noon, Tea Time, dinner time, even 3 AM (at least he was told)…and already on the playbill for another 850 days more, yes, I think Baraq Obama is about to become undone. And certainly may not even want to sign up for another 1460 day extension. This is not a play he wants to see Held Over.

When Baraq Obama came to the White House he had one skill, and many petty vices. This is high praise compared to the wife-in-chief, WOTUS, who I may start calling “B-26″ or as it was known in the Mediterranean theater, “the Flying Prostitute”, for it had no visible means of support. He assumed, indeed, believed that his skill at making speeches and enthralling crowds was all the job required, or entailed.

I actually believe this now. The circumstantial evidence is overwhelming, but what I am saying here in no way conflicts with his deep affection for Marxism (of some sort) and “get-evenism” (of which I’m certain), about which I’ve speculated about since 2008, long before I came RedState. This also lays to the side any issue as to whether he is his own man, or a mere puppet. I am only speaking of what propels the man, and what disarms him…and work definitely disarms. It’s his personal preferences, his appetites. Unlike sincerity, you just can’t fake it.

My view is that he assumes being the pitchman, the carny-barker, call it what you like, and erstwhile national decision-maker is the four corners of his contract with America. Let others go out and actually create, to every degree short of cosmic, where he sits, all policies and then carry them out. It matters not to me whether he gained his ideas of executive management from academe, or just skated and has fooled even his puppet masters (if there are such things). This is how he sees things.

The record so far is replete with examples of where his decision and only his decision is required, or has been required, from the Gulf oil spill to filling judicial vacancies, and that nothing was or has been done…until a national cattle prod was laid upon his backside…by that same Work fellow always lurking around the office, and who he avoids like the plague. So you can understand the delay in these things.

These three postings, from a possibly fictitious White House insider…but with so many fleeing the White House ship, it seems entirely plausible, even probable. Make your own assessment, but read them, please. They are too true not to be true.

http://newsflavor.com/opinions/white-house-insider-on-obama-the-president-is-losing-it/\

http://socyberty.com/issues/white-house-insider-part-2-the-president-needs-to-grow-up/

http://newsflavor.com/politics/world-politics/white-house-insider-what-the-hell-have-we-done/

What they reveal is a man driven entirely by his appetites. I say “appetites” so as to make it common and understandable to all of us…so we can look around, perhaps in your own home to observe that 15-year old, 21-year old, etc., bright, clever, but just a little in love with him/herself, but who has still never earned that first dime, has never cut his first yard for twenty bucks, yet expects eight million dollars worth of video games every Christmas, then sells them, each for five bucks apiece on Amazon a year later, for gas money, and even asks you for the ten bucks to buy padded bags to ship them. It is my own son, at 14, sitting in the back seat with a Game Boy, pouting that he wanted to stay in the car while the rest of us toured Williamsburg (Virginia…it’s in all the old history books, at least..God I love that place), while his mother told him. “You’re going to get out of this car and learn some history or I’ll take that little game box and stomp it in the dirt.”

My wife won and my son learned. But Obama got to stay in the car, as many do. He was indulged. Over-indulged in fact. He was academia’s politically correct version of the 6’6 high school freshman basketball prodigy who was allowed to cheat, rape, steal, pillage from 8th grade on…just so long as he took them to the state finals. After that?…college, then onto the big leagues. When did reality set it? When does it in real America?

Well, for America, the time is now. In athletics this game has been played out many times, with some magnificent failures of our own public judgment, from Quentin Dailey to Ron Artest to perhaps a quarter of the NFL. (You can see I’m a fan.)

In politics, this occurs not so often, but why would you think an America hellbent on morphing all celebrity, from athletic, political and cinematic, wouldn’t someday find a way to confuse us between the secret identity of Lindsay Lohan and Baraq H Obama?

To Americans, i can only say watch and wait and pray, for we are about to see yet another asterisk in the presidential Hall of Fame…and there have been so many in the past 40 years…but at what cost?

…and to potential candidates (and you know who I like and don’t like), if you are already formulating games plans, you’ll be better served by having a game plan in which Baraq H Obama is not the candidate.

He’s tired…already.

This song seems to fit the president and your post. Hope no one minds my taking liberties with this great Guess Who hit:

    He’s come undone
    He didn’t know
    what he was headed for
    And when I found
    what he was headed for
    It was too late

    He’s come undone
    He found a mountain
    that was far too high
    And when he found out
    He couldn’t fly
    It was too late

    It’s too late
    He’s gone too far
    He’s lost the sun
    He’s come undone
    He wanted lies
but all he got was truth
    Came the time to realize
    And it was too late

    He’s come undone
    He didn’t know
    what he was headed for
    And when I found
    what he was headed for
    Mama, it was too late

because there’s too many restrictions on income while serving in an official capacity, and they know they must return to the private sector to reap their rewards before the president ultimately nudges the economy over the cliff.

This move was facilitated by reality. The veil of obfuscation has been lifted on the Obama Administration, and the impostor has been exposed.

Truth, if the mainstream media and the “loyal opposition” grow some spine. Here’s a couple of examples when Truth entered the bodies of a couple in the loyal opposition (and he often takes up residence inside Jake Tapper when he visits the White House press corps):

Illinois Congressman John Shimkus showed some courage and walked out of that same speech and told the truth as to why:

    http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2009/09/shimkus_walked_on_obama_frustr.html

When the loyal opposition, and the minion media, begin to demand the truth, the bullies will run away. Including the Bully-in-Chief.

Watch Breitbart do it — eventually, the “astroturf” bullies literally turned around and left.

Hard labor, sweating like a pig, bone weary after a long week of 16 hour days.

I seriously doubt Obama has ever known an honest day’s work in his entire life.

Lord deliver us from lazy, self-absorbed people who assume they know better.

and moving closer to my original thought months ago. He never wanted to have to do the hard work to push his Transformation of America. He, and his wife, only ever wanted to have others do the transformation, he, and his wife just wanted the perks that come with the Presidency, and, the respect that comes with that position, even though he has never earned it. Hillary will challenge him in 2012.

    • acat

Americans are, I think, pretty attached to the idea of voting… and the 2010 election is shaping up to be a disaster for the Dems.

Obama hasn’t shown any skill at pivoting or triangulating – and if Michelle thinks she hates the job now, just wait until 2011 when Congress is a bit more actively working against her hubby Baraq.

What concerns me is what they may try if they really get desperate….

I read that he is leaving his position in the WH, and is going back to Chicago, late into 2011, to work on the O’s re-election campaign. Haven’t others managed to do that from their perches in Washington, like Rove for example? I’m not sure if I believe that story, or if he is just bailing out on a lost cause. I also find it curious that he isn’t making that move until late in the year, when the candidates from both parties (?) will be pitching their tents, probably starting in Jan. We will see what Hillary is up to right after the mid-terms. If she’s going to go, she won’t let him get a head start ever again.

        • acat

The rumblings that Rahm is going to go try to be Mayor of Chicago is more interesting, in my opinion… Rahm’s a bit radioactive right now, but likely not so bad that he can’t win in Chicago… especially of Jesse Junior stays on the sidelines. (and keep in mind that Rahm almost certainly knows what Jesse Senior offered Blagojevich for Obama’s seat…)

Axelrod, I think, is overrated – his “strategy” wasn’t all that complex, after all – find a telegenic guy who can orate, with an interesting story, then let as little as possible of that story leak.

It had the advantage of having not been tried in a while, but .. it was a lot more “perfect storm” than actual strategic decisions.

My guess re. Axelrod is that he’s getting out while the getting is good – announce it now (before the election) so the tidal-wave losses aren’t his fault (“I was already gone…”) and, more importantly, once the wheels really come off, he catches minimal spatter.

..where the same pieces of useless bling keep getting exposed to the light, I’ve been thinking that BO won’t be seeking a second term either, Vassar: His genuine lack of humanity, his lack of an intimate circle of friends, his banal and lusterless speechifying, his utterly non-existent work ethic, his dabbling in drugs as a young man, his wont to allow his party apparatchiks to set the Presidential agenda (-such as it is), all point to a man better suited to sitting as the nominal head of a useless NGO, or non-profit, than running the most dynamic country on the face of the earth.

I don’t think he’ll run for a second term, either. In fact, I think he rather pines to not run: He’s often given allusion to being a one-termer: You know the riff, “I’d rather be a one-term president and do what’s right, hominah, hominah, hominah….”

And I think, now that the excitement of Air Force One, private Paul McCartney concerts and Kobe beef has all worn off, on the whole, he’d rather be in Honolulu.

    • http://Blackberrybear.etsy.com knitwit

He’d like to be the permanent titular head of the Federal States of Obama in the manner of Fidel and ‘Ugo, with lots of his Chicago enforcers to maintain his untrammeled celebrity and keep the monies aflowin’ into his personal treasury so he can continue the private concerts on Air Force 1 & 2 with the Kobe beef…..and perhaps ‘own’ Honolulu, and a few other extraneous islands for good measure.

      • http://thesandsinstitute.org Vassar Bushmills

Obama dreams of that gig like I do being Captain Marvel. You know, “Shazzam” and that’s it. But alas, the roadmap from here to there requires that awful word again. Work. Nope, I think my curmudgeon friend is right hee…although, we have to consider all the possible contracts Obama may or may not have signed with the devil. Some contracts carry no-backout clauses.

          -”Work”.
The fact of the matter is that most everyone under the age of 55 has not much more than a glancing familiarity with real “work”. Not to put too fine an edge on it, when my Father, a child of the depression, got up in the morning (at around 4:30AM), as the oldest Child, he had to bank the fires in the coal burner from the night before, gather the “clinkers”, re-ignite the coal, and warm the house.

Then, he would help his dad out in the paint shed, where he had to start the melting pot for adding the white lead to the paints he would be using that day. Then, depending on what year we are talking about, he would either run to the market to help unload the morning deliveries, or peddle morning papers. Then, he would go to school. The money he made, incidentally, was not his to keep, but he gave it to his mom and dad to help support the family.

Then, he got drafted, shot all to heck in Italy, came home, started a successful commercial sign business, became darn near a scratch golfer in the moments he wasn’t remodeling our house, or building our cottage, was mayor of our hometown for 15 years, built our own pool table, paddle boat, and Sailfish. Oh, and went to Mass every Sunday.

THAT’S work. Obama’s given up coke, and written a couple of books about himself. Whoopee.

No, Obama knows nothing of the sweat, and the creative force, of real, hard, sustained, WORK. Not to mention his whole persona is kinda like a male version of a Stepford Wife. There’s no THERE, there. I heartily endorse Mr. Bushmills’ assessment.

It’s up to the American electorate to believe their own eyes and drive the final nails in the Democrats’ coffin.

The Tea Party movement can hasten the Democrats’ demise by erasing forty years of anti-American, counter-constitutional indoctrination imposed on an unsuspecting public by our failed government schools.

he was a fraud from the day he stepped into the political spotlight. Chicago politics is full of “grabbers” like Barack Obama, people who are so entrenched in the entitlement “I get to have this because” mentality. They are all posers, all of them. The Jacksons are being exposed as the same type. Every neighborhood activist wants to be mayor, since Daley announced he won’t run again, and they are doing it, not because they want to work for the people of Chicago, or because they are passionate about their city, they want the job because they want the power, and the prestige of being Mayor. Say what you want about Daley, good, or bad, his passion, and his love for his city are bottomless. There is no passion like that in all of the candidate wannabes that are popping up, and they were all from the same “school” that our President was. They feel entitled, and that they should have the job “just because”. The west side and the housing projects are full of street level commies, and activists that exist solely to incite the populations that live there. Chicago’s inner city neighborhoods are rife with community organizers, Marxists, and socialists masquerading as pastors, social workers, and types. That is where Barack Obama spent his time, and earned his spurs.

Perhaps the articles might be a bit exaggerated, but the theme is clear, it is reflected in the way Barack Obama acts and talks, he is as transparent as glass. I disliked Bill Clinton, but I have to give him his props. He was the consummate politician, he knew how to get on, and he knew how to make deals, make people feel good, and get things done. Did I agree with him, hell no. Did I like him and his wife? Nope… But, I did respect him, he was after all, the President. The Clintons at least understood that business needs to remain in business in order to keep people working, and tax money flowing into the Treasury, that’s not to say they were captialists, but they did understand to a certain extent, that you can’t stifle business completely. Barack and his ilk grew up, and were educated in the “business is the enemy” school of thought, that all business was no good, and out to steal from the poor, and was conspiring to keep them down. They were taught that business is evil, and exploits the masses. Jesse Jackson took it further by showing how to shake businesses down for his own ends. (a more sophisticated version of a street hustle) To the President, power is the goal, and nothing else matters, and once in power (another lesson learned from the street) that the goal has been achieved, and you make all the ‘little people” do the work, while you enjoy the perks, and the status of being in power. I think the President is incredibly naive, self absorbed and, I’ll say it, he is stupid. His arrogance, self love, self absorption, and what have you is going to be his achilles heel. People like him do not change

gives the post-Obama, Democrat political strategy for trying to mitigate their massive, self-inflicted damage.

After the scapegoat Obama is abandoned in the wilderness (not that I feel sorry for him), they are going to ditch the name Progressives, become the good old-fashioned, apple-pie Democrat party, and pretend that they were just as shocked and appalled by the left-ward lurch as the “country people” were.

The “insider” himself is setting the stage through these very interviews. He is preparing the scene for “Every Democrat for Himself” after the Nov. 2 blowout. Then the Dems will all claim renewed patriotism and concern for “the little man.” They will suddenly start talking about the Constitution and the founding fathers…

Well, it won’t fly. I seldom read the comments anywhere except at a fine site called RedState, but I’m going to reprint one here that was written in response to the number 3 interview. The key point is essentially, “NOW you develop a conscience???”

I figured that Obama was lazy and useless after reading that he couldn’t accomplish the easiest job assigned to community organizers.

From a 2007 story in US News:
Perhaps his most confrontational effort was to pressure city authorities to remove asbestos from the apartments in 1986. When the on-site manager didn’t take action, Obama nudged the residents into confronting city housing officials in two angry public meetings downtown.
