Shades of 1984: Socialist International Expunges Carol Browner’s Links to Group

Promoted from Diaries.  Freaking Commies: also, Gateway Pundit has the screenshot. – Moe Lane

Former Clinton-era EPA Administrator Carol Browner has been tapped by our President-elect as “energy czar”, a position that is not subject to Senate confirmation.

As reported by the Washington Times, as recently as last week Browner was listed as one of 14 leaders of the “Commission for a Sustainable World Society” on the website of Socialist International.

In an Orwellian move, Ms. Browner’s name and bio have been removed from the site.

The group’s Commission for a Sustainable World Society, the organization’s action arm on climate change, says the developed world must reduce consumption and commit to binding and punitive limits on greenhouse gas emissions.

These people and their embrace of radical agendas scare the crap out of me. Bigbagofwind and his fellow travelers can join hands and sing Kumbayya with the new administration, but just like 40 years ago,

You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

noticeably shrinks when they get pushed into the limelight of a more diverse group.

I find it interesting how in a group of their own peers they freely offer their viewpoints, but once the light is shining on them they scamper away like rats under a more dissenting discussion.

So, they change or hide their views until they get what they want. Sound like anyone else recently elected?

Does anyone else find that the appointment of “Czars” for cars, global warming, etc. is worrisome because it allows the President to appoint people to very powerful positions without any confirmation by Congress? At this rate, pretty soon all the cabinet members will report to an unvetted Czar appointee of the President. When did we revert to a monarchy or acquiesce to a dictatorship?

Put a nice milquetoast in the Secretary or Commissioner slot that can be easily confirmed. Make sure he/she understands that their only job is to look good, and put somebody who is competent and ruthless in charge in a Special Assistant or similar position that doesn’t have to face confirmation. Works better when you have a majority in the legislative body so you don’t have to worry about your figurehead being hailed up for hearings, but that’s not that big a deal.

So the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the President of the Republic of Chile, the Minister of the Environment of Spain, the Minister of State for External Affairs of India, and the President of the Republic of Panama, all fervent allies of the US are all evil radical socialists? Thats strange, maybe the US should jump on the bandwagon

It’s clear that you’re not here to play along, so we’re gonna have to ask you to move on. Yeah. So if um, you can not comment anymore at all, and not come back even without asking the directors for permission, that’d be great. So yeah, if you can do that, that’d really be great. Thanks.
