In a precedent-setting ruling, a judge in the UK upholds Mr Tim Nicholson’s right to sue his former employer because he was fired over his environmental beliefs and his green lifestyle.
Climate change belief given same legal status as religion
In a landmark ruling, Mr Justice Michael Burton said that “a belief in man-made climate change … is capable, if genuinely held, of being a philosophical belief for the purpose of the 2003 Religion and Belief Regulations”.
The ruling could open the door for employees to sue their companies for failing to account for their green lifestyles, such as providing recycling facilities or offering low-carbon travel.

Mr Nicholson hailed the Employment Appeals Tribunal ruling as “a victory for common sense” but stressed climate change was “not a new religion”.
He said: “I believe man-made climate change is the most important issue of our time and nothing should stand in the way of diverting this catastrophe.
“This philosophical belief that is based on scientific evidence has now been given the same protection in law as faith-based religious belief.
“Belief in man-made climate change is not a new religion, it is a philosophical belief that reflects my moral and ethical values and is underlined by the overwhelming scientific evidence.”

It is piety freely oozing up everywhere in advertising: Oil companies, home cleaning products, airlines, restaurants, web sites and computer companies! The Politically Correct spirit of the age is pushing this as ‘the new morality.” Read and carefully understand Germany’s chancellor Merkel, extolling the western resolve that stood up to the Soviet Union (but not China) and without missing a breath urges the same (blessed) western culture to confirm Copenhagen. Rightly understood, not only is ‘green’ the new ‘red’, it is breathtaking in its effectivity and stealth in neutering (silencing) all serious opposition (and thought) let alone debate (yes, that includes you, Algore).
We need to both ridicule (with joy) and beat back (with zealous facts) the disastrous implications of this holy green+red madness. In public, at work, at home and in the community of ‘real faith in God.’
We also need to hold BIG GOVERNMENT accountable for PUSHING this as the next great hurrah, like the ‘Great Society’ or the ‘Cold War.’ Yet another gluttonous crusade to expand government with un-sustainable spending coupled with soul-numbing regulation and conformity.
Thank GOD for the faithful patriots in all forms of the media. Ten years ago, we would not have had a chance in this war. Now all we have is a chance to reach a remnant whose brains are not yet closed.
