why so many americans decide to home-school their kids. These "educators" don't understand that the American nation is being alienated from their public schools. It will only stand to reason that those same people will withdraw thier kids from the system. After these people remove their kids from the system, we then will have a generation not willing to support public education.

I am a local NEA president. I support my teachers and try hard to represent the best in education, but we run the risk of alienating some of our best students. The pervasive immorality and the lack of understanding of other points of view will kill the education system in our country.

We need to focus on classical norms of education. I do in my classroom, and I feel I have advantaged my students. The pablum being taught to kids, under the moniker of the Middle School Philosophy, is truly disheartening. I hope as activists, we start at the local school board and work up.

It is the time of rainbows, unicorns and fairy dust. The academic world is sure that the “One” will finance all there dreams. The “One” will make any realistic standards of education disappear. The “One” will ensure no qualifications are demanded for educators. The “One” will allow academia the right to continue the brainwashing of our children. The “One will allow them to determine what is important for the young to know. The “One” will make sure that those inconvenient subjects Math, Science, Geography and unrewritten History are outlawed. That global warming (without any evidence) is a fact. That Al Gore is a hero. That B. Hussein Obama is the savior. The Hillary Clinton is qualified to be Sec. of State. That Slow Joe Biden really does have a clue. That Mr. Murtha is really an honest man. That Ms. Piglosi does know what she is doing. That “Dirty “ Harry Reid is not senile and corrupt. That racist like Sheila Patterson is right.

The Principal admonished that nobody was allowed to say anything bad about Obama, that it would not be "tolerated"! Such double standards the leftists have. People have called Bush a Nazi for God's sake and nary a peep of dismay was heard. Makes me sick.

"The news report of this incident notes that 43 percent of the school district is comprised of minorities. I suppose that means that the 47 percent that isn’t minority..."

Seriously though, it seems that the only sorts of student rights lefties support are things like:
- filing lawsuits to prevent anything remotely related to Christianity from defiling their campus
- disrupting any conservative speakers who are invited to appear
- disrupting recruiters from the military, the FBI, etc.
- holding sit-ins if they don't get their way in any of the above
