While the Obama administration reports that we ran an “official” deficit of $1 trillion dollars last year, accounting gimmicks (shock there) lead us to believe this. However, when adding in entitlement programs, the REAL federal deficit was actually $5 trillion!

As USA Today points out, Congress is “able to exempt itself from including the promise of entitlement benefits”. However, state and local governments must account for these liabilities under federal law.

It is high time we drain the swamp and put Conservative Constitutionalists in office who are unafraid to tackle our deficit, spending and transparency problems before it is too late.

Something I read today made me stop dead in my tracks. As a student of History and Political Science and a conservative, I have long worried about the battering our Constitutional liberties have and will continue to take under the reign of one Barack Hussein Obama and his liberal cohort within his administration and party. Yes, the world is on the brink of catastrophe with the economic cyclone that is engulfing it. Add to that, the “Arab Spring” and the incessant sabre rattling coming out of once tamed regimes. That is front and center for all to see. However, this topic is being conspicuously held under the radar, and it can be the most terrifying of them all.

A report today by the AP (seen here: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TARGETED_KILLING?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2011-12-01-10-42-54) reveals that the Obama administration’s lawyers have taken the position that it is within its Constitutional perimeters to allow the Executive branch to target US civilians should they be deemed to be committing acts of war against the country. We have seen that with the killing of Anwar al-Alwaki a few months ago. However, when you couple that with what has just been reported by Judge Andrew Napolitano (seen here: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/12/01/can-congress-steal-your-constitutional-freedoms/), it becomes much more distressing to me.

Last week, the Senate Armed Services Committee held a closed door meeting and attached an amendment to the Pentagon Appropriations Bill that actually would give the Obama Administration the green light to use the United States Military to replace and act as law enforcement within our domestic borders.

The 5th Amendment clearly states that “No person shall be…deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.” As Napolitano pointed out, it has not been since the end of the Civil War and the time of Reconstruction that the military has been given domestic law enforcement authority. At that point in the nation’s history, it was a necessary evil concerning the remnants of the Confederate Army and government that were still out there attempting to subvert the rebuilding of the United States. Since then, 135 years on now and after federal laws have been enacted to ensure this never happened again, no president has ever attempted such a feat. And rightly so.

Our military is the best in the world, bar none. They are efficient, professional and deadly at what they do. To that end, they are not trained to handle civilian law enforcement – nor should they be. It has been a difficult road for them in Iraq and Afghanistan during their deployment to rebuild these nations because of this lack of training. They are to protect us against FOREIGN enemies. That is why state and local police are charged with handling civilian populations. Totally different.

So this is where all this brings me – why, then, would the democrats and the Obama administration WANT this power? To me, it is plain and simple. You may call it a conspiracy theory and you have that freedom. But I believe it is because Mr. Obama wants to have that option to control our nation when he deems it necessary. Why is he wanting to control the Internet and all other forms of communication? With all the Occupy nonsense growing and the opposition to his policies at an all time high, he sees this as an opportunity to potentially institute martial law. Why else would he need the most powerful fighting force and all of its resources at his DOMESTIC disposal? Why are his lawyers laying down a veiled precedent at being able to target US citizens if they are deemed “hostile” to the interests of the country? Is that not what DOMESTIC federal, state and local agencies are for? We have the National Guard available to assist us in times of emergency. Why the full weight and power of the US armed forces?

He is known for his disregard of the Constitution. He is not a mindless idiot with no clue as to what is going on and how the Constitution works. He is setting things up for a darker purpose. He always has and this is no exception. I hope I am proved wrong, but so far I have been right on 99.9% of what I have seen from him – unfortunately.

What employer in their right mind, should this legislation actually pass, would attempt to hire someone and run the risk of litigation? Again, the Obama administration is playing into the hands of one of his largest contributors – TRIAL LAWYERS!

I just sent this to Boehner. We ALL need to let him know how we feel about this upcoming CR vote. It’s now or never for Liberty.

Mr. Boehner,

I am writing to you as a Republican and as a Conservative. I am appalled that you are considering even voting for the 3rd CR that includes funding for Obamacare. It is not enough that you put forth a vote to repeal this unconstitutional law. It is not enough to give lip service to saying that you will attempt to de-fund it through the budget process. YOU MUST STOP IT IN IT’S TRACKS NOW with denying the CR and allowing the government to shut down if necessary.

You were voted into power by the people. Conservatives, moderates, independents – all said enough is enough. Obamacare, the reckless spending, additional job-killing taxes. All were rejected in November. Now, the fact that Republicans in Congress are considering allowing Obamacare to move forward AND that raising taxes on the American people as a way to reduce the deficit is an affront to everything we have worked for over the past two years. I implore you and Mr. McConnell to stop pandering to the trap the Democrats are setting for you. CAN YOU NOT SEE IT? They are salivating over the prospect that you are giving them ammunition to discredit our party. YOU MUST STAND AGAINST IT, or face losing all we have gained. You will hand the Liar-in-Chief a second term and possibly lose control of Congress yet again. If this happens, we will never get any of these three entities back under our control – the control of the people.

I hope and pray you will stand fast for our nation. The signs of socialism, Marxism and communism are all around us. This is your defining moment in history. Stand on your feet now, or we will be on our knees in a matter of years.

Praying for you and the leadership,

Will Beddingfield
Patriot for Liberty

OK…so, the Liar-In-Chief gets up and has the audacity to say that Republicans are attempting to “bamboozle” the American people into believing what they have to offer the country is better than the socialist policies of the Obama regime. So, what would he classify his entire campaign from 2007 to the present? An accurate representation of factual statements? The only bamboozling going on is the thick layer of manure the “president” is laying down on the American people.

In constant campaign mode, he continues to assault the truth with his smoke and mirrors tactics. It is Mr. Obama who has bamboozled the American people into believing that he was going to create jobs, turn the economy around and enter our nation into a new era of hope. What a joke.

He can fool people once. But he cannot fool them twice. The people who fell for his rhetoric and his continuing campaigning against the Republic have woken up to an America they hardly recognize. He has demonized the highest office in our land with the petulant ramblings of a three year old (I know, I have one). The only people he has left in his corner are those who will vote for him simply because of his race and the recipients of his tax-payer funded welfare system. Guess what, Barack – there are more of us than there are of them!

2012 – cannot come soon enough!

“So this is how liberty dies…”

A quote from the third Star Wars movie fits nicely here. The new Financial “Overhaul” Bill gives the SEC powers to deny ANY request for records dealing with ANYTHING they deem not worthy of said request. This flies in the face of the Freedom of Information Act as well as the supposed promise by this increasingly defiant administration to be more “transparent” in the government’s processes.

Lie after lie after lie – this is the mantra of a White House attempting to radically alter the Constitution of the United States and of the Peoples’ ability to trust in it. The Progressives have gradually, through evolution, created a stealth “revolution” that is anti-liberty, anti-free speech, anti-capitalist, anti-religion and anti-American.

Despite the administration’s attempts to distract from the obvious, the People are seeing exactly how socialist this supposed “president” really is. It is shocking to see his associations with radical socialists, communists and ultra-liberals while all the time he is saying, “I am not a socialist”. The truth, sir, lies within the actions, not the words.

Never before have I ever listened to the supposed leader of the free world, and not believed a single syllable uttered from this mouth. He has trained us to not believe him. It is his own doing. It is NOTHING conjured up by, what he believes, is the right-wing media. You can see it for your own eyes and listen to it with your own ears. The man is a left-wing ultra-liberal who lied his way into the most prestigious office in the world. Now, he is destroying the very institution of our nation’s governing body, our courts and the prosperity of our people. He will stop at nothing until the end game is accomplished. WE MUST STAND IN HIS WAY. Better to stand now on our feet than to be brought to our knees when our rights have been torn away from us.

No matter what your affiliation – Republican, Democrat, Independent, Libertarian, Tea Party – we MUST UNITE under the Constitution and the freedom it gives, or risk losing it all. I say this for my family, my future and the country I love. Our voices will be our ballots in every election until these socialists are defeated and never again allowed to destroy our nation as they have to date.
