Class Warfare

Here we are America on the cusp of the greatest rejuvenation of the American philosophy if we choose to honor our heritage. There is no need to reject our philosophy that has been time tested for thousands of years. That same philosophy innate in man still survives and can never be extinguished. I would ask what is the basis of the Left’s desire to bind human nature?. If you force me to surrender my wealth on the basis of your want or need, (That is theft). I agree capitalism needs adjustment but the adjustment does not come from abandoning capitalism it comes from abandoning statism. Government intervention is always subject to corruption it distorts markets.

The  Left now try’s to align themselves with the tea party to attack wall street. When wall street was in total compliance and with the urging of Washington to push their centrally planned agenda . Just as Obama and Hillary care are designed to entrap Americans, at last the country rejects this collective bond of servitude that big government endorses and seeks. The American people understand this health law will reach into the family’s every day life as prohibition did., America will not falter, as a society we are already returning to common sense. The left must understand their philosophy has no logical relevance to the nature of the free life of a rational human being. This is how the left hold power, as with the Romans it is the purchase and manipulation of the mob not the rational consent of a free individual. The left’s thought process is bankrupt it leads to enslavement not freedom. The view is not the benefit of America but the control of America. We must maintain the rule of law it is what sustains society but it must be a just society that emerges based on the United States Constitution and the bedrock of personal property rights. There is no more reason left to the thought process coming from Washington. The latest class warfare attempt by the left shows what a desperate bankrupt philosophy they will endorse to hold power. The far left is now no different from a Gaddafi or any other despot willing to sacrifice the rule of law and stability in order to hold power. This class warfare is a new low for the Democrats and if the American people are who I think they are, this tactic will backfire.

The Democratic party and this administration along with the main stream press embody the comment below, they now show to the world “how little they are”.

As in the movie “people will talk” Cary Grant 1951  Mr. Shunderson said to Professor Elwell

“You’re a little man,” he told me. “It’s not that you’re short. You’re… little, in the mind and in the heart. Tonight, you tried to make a man little whose boots you couldn’t touch if you stood on tiptoe on top of the highest mountain in the world. And as it turned out… you’re even littler than you were before.”

It is time for Washington to send power back to the states where it is best kept in check.

William Bradford

We must reinstate individual freedom going forward.

With such an activist federal government working outside the Constitution ( for many years in both parties) we need to safeguard our future. We must do it by reducing federal power and re-establish the binding restraint inherent to the constitution. We need to draft stronger laws that strengthen property rights and keep government out of our lives as much as possible. We have had a 50 year experiment in government expansion of the welfare state. This has led to stale economy’s and reducing the purchasing power of our dollar and loaded us with crushing debt.

Our media and school system have launched a massive attack towards the minds of Americas youth. A young man in his late teens the other day said to me when I spoke of the gulf oil spill ” why expect anything different, the politicians are on the take nothing will change.” I thought of our history when we were a CAN DO nation. I also reflected later with other veterans and I said you know what, that young mans attitude is our fault. As the older generation we could have voted these people out of office we could have confronted the mainstream media lies. As parents we could have fought the school-board. I think we are now awake and I am optimistic.

The problem is we are tearing the fabric of America apart by the victim mentality that says I was not responsible so therefor your property is mine. You see it when the SEIU or NEA unions demand taxpayer money to secure their pension’s at the expense of their private sector neighbor who must pay for it. If they don’t get their way they throw a tantrum and protest.

As Rome declined public admiration grew for the man who could beat the system. Fellow Romans said keep borrowing knowing he could not pay it back just take it. Most inhabitants of Rome did not work they were fed daily by the government and went to the circus for entertainment. The roman provinces were thrifty and did work and believed in the idea of Roman law. What makes our constitution more than a piece of paper is our belief in the ideal inherent in the document. It is that belief we must not loose.

Warren Buffett said ” a failed institution the CEO and spouse should lose their wealth if they need a tax payer bailout.” That remark is from a man who excepts risk and understands what it means to be a individual, not a crony CEO in bed with Washington. There is a certain amount of responsibility that legislators must accept in governance. And if not then what moral mandate do they have to led.? They become unaccountable, beholding to narrow interests. This is not in the best interest of the country.

If your goal is to destabilize the Republic then it is a traitorous view.

If your goal is to divide the American people it is a traitorous view.

If your goal is to bankrupt America it is a traitorous view.

If your goal is to reject Individual sovereignty as stated in the Constitution it is a traitorous view.

We have to become Americans again. One country believing and working towards the ultimate success of our society. The media and certain groups divide and separate us into black / white, Jew / gentile, poor / rich. This divide and conquer approach is unhealthy. I think there are some common aspects we as a free people can all agree on.

1. We love our freedom and hold it sacred.

2. We have an innate view of a level playing field.

3. We believe a well educated citizenry is necessary to maintain our Republic.

4. We respect the rule of law in order to protect freedom for all.

5. We reject unconstitutional laws that have a restrictive effect on freedom abridging individual rights.

I know this seems like a small list but I think it encapsulates many problems that infect our society..
So how do we answer these goals.?

1. Reduce the power of the federal government returning power back to the states and the people . This is where power is best checked.

2. Strengthen the constitutional rights of the individual. This is most important as our society grows with many differing views we must hold dear what makes people most free.  In other words how do we protect the minority.?

All the best America, I am confident

Social Justice

Take a good look at SOCIAL JUSTICE or SOCIALISM and what it has brought to Greece the cradle of western civilization. The rallying cry of the unions. The practice of usurping private property rights. The irrational demand that theft of others property is moral. The deficit spending by panicked politicians with welfare state mentality. The complicity of the American media to intentionally distort the immigration law recently passed in Arizona and many other contentious issues is beyond comprehension. It is as if the media in our country has a goal to yell fire in a crowded theater. During the great depression Americans rejected socialism for freedom and we will again.
As a veteran of the United States military I would suggest the quasi government unions should remember one thing. You work for the American people. Federal workers now on average make more than the private sector. It is our taxes that pay the generous salaries and benefits you enjoy. Remember one thing when your leaders ask you to strike. We are Americans first in this country. Work it out and if you have to take a pay cut grow up and deal with it. The rest of the country is.
I cannot imagine that most rank and file members of these unions believe this is the America they want. Ask your own leaders why they make two hundred thousand dollars a year without cleaning a bed pan or turning a wrench.
If union sponsored violence raises its ugly head in this country I hope the leaders that promote such action face the full blunt force of the law. We as Americans respect the rule of law in this country without it we deteriorate as a society which leaves no individual safe. I am sure there are certain elements in this country that through some perverted view of their own self importance believe property rights are nothing but a hurdle obstructing their destiny. True leadership in America is the preservation of the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness which includes the right to property.
Tocqueville 1848
; ” Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom; socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference; while democracy seeks equality in liberty; socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”

So take a good look America we are a great country but there is a cancer rooted in irrationality trying to bring the United States down. Never give up the idea of individual liberty. It is that philosophy that makes us American.

N.J. Attempts

The recall measures over Senator Menendez will set up for a interesting ruling from the US supreme court in time. With the recent flap over violence against elected officials blaming TEA party people for their own lack of commonsense. I would suggest we have an option to recall elected officials who become irrational negating the wishes of a majority of the people they represent. As with a Sword of Damocles over their head elected officials need to understand their responsibility. In case they forget their true allegiance the reality of a Recall can prod them. It also reduces narrow interest influence. Any narrow interest group that wants to fund the next William Jennings Bryan might think twice if that representative can be recalled. This decentralizes power returning it to the people.

“It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error.”– Robert H. Jackson

We are a Republic; we elect members of congress who in turn represent us in Washington . We are not a democracy open to majority rule. When government chooses to directly ignore the intent of the American people, discussion needs to take place with an option to check their power. The U.S. Constitution does not provide or authorize the recall of United States officers (senators and representatives of congress). Although it was considered, no provisions were made for such action. Recall in the Articles of Confederation was replaced with rotation in office during the convention in 1787.

I see where the Supreme Court has nullified the argument under the 10th amendment clause although not commenting directly. The court interpretation asserts individual states never had the original sovereignty to unilaterally change the terms and conditions of service of federal officials agreed to and established in the Constitution. My understanding of the intent on the dispersion of power is that the constitution derives its authority from the states and the states from the people. This is the basis of our republican form of government and to be respected through fair elections and the RULE OF LAW.

It seems as though the agenda in Washington has not been in the best interest of the American people for the last 20 years. Washington has either become a shill for special interests, drunk on power or completely out of touch with their constituency. If any of these scenarios are true the government has become ineffective and hazardous to individual rights as described in our founding documents.

So it appears congress has rammed this health care legislation down the American peoples throat. The same people congress works for. If this is truly the case we should look at constitutionally based alternatives. Options that hold public officials closer to the responsibility their office demands while promoting freedom not enslavement. Good legislation does not require force in most cases because it is not narrow in focus. I would suggest the states look into recall measures and begin the lawful process to incorporate these measures in their respective state constitutions. A super majority of the states population would be needed due to the importance of such procedures.

If commonsense were present this would not be necessary. Only when the Federal government becomes so detached does it becomes our responsibility and right to restrict their power.

Thomas Jefferson warned George Washington in 1791 if the federal government was allowed to overstep its bounds with regards to the States “to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition.” Keep government limited and close to home. That will maintain freedom.”

Thomas Jefferson” free government is founded in jealousy not in confidence, it is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions, to bind those we are obliged to trust with power…our constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no further, our confidence may go. In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the constitution.”

What domineering Washington personalities do not understand is for the most part the American people want to be left alone. Therefore your side shows don’t resonate. That is why you have to be restricted. Three hundred years ago people much more learned than you crafted this form of government to protect individual freedom.

The Right To Health Care II

I Just watched a congresswomen Ms. Lee 18th district of Texas claim health care is a RIGHT. I thought it would be worth repeating some past arguments on the subject. This legislation is a form of servitude on the medical profession. I knew a young doctor in Holland years ago just when the Dutch government began to cap the wages of doctors to hold down costs. He and his family had just bought a house with a mortgage based on his prior salary before the cut. He told me he would have to sell his house and wondered how he could plan for he and his family. What right does the collective have over the individual.?

With ever more intrusion into your life. It seems as though health care will give the federal government a new lease on life. Decades of new laws going forward with restrictions on how the individual will live their lives. If you ponder this it would almost be a bureaucrats ultimate dream. A never ending centralized decision process with the fear of (loss of life)as the proxy to their own existence. This legislation could have been done rationally in a piece meal approach. Instead it is irrationality which is now being touted as a NATURAL RIGHT.

Thomas Paine (1731–1809) further elaborated on natural rights in his influential work Rights of Man (1791), emphasizing that rights cannot be granted by any charter because this would legally imply they can also be revoked and under such circumstances they would be reduced to privileges:

The following are excerpts from a discussion on the effects of health care as a right. The speech was delivered many times in 1993-1994 Source is The Atlas Society I believe delivered by David Kelly.http://www.objectivistcenter.org/cth–14-Is_There_Right_Health_Care.aspx

“Let’s begin by defining our terms. A right is a principle that specifies something which an individual should be free to have or do. A right is an entitlement, something you possess free and clear, something you can exercise without asking anyone else’s permission. Because it is an entitlement, not a privilege or favor, we do not owe anyone else any gratitude for their recognition of our rights.”

1) To begin with, of course, the government has to tax some people to pay for medical subsidies offered to those it considers to be in need. So the first consequence of implementing a “right” to medical care is forced transfers of wealth from taxpayers to the clientele of programs like Medicare and Medicaid. And this will inflate the demand for health care services. Offering free or heavily subsidized care is inevitably going to increase overall use of the health care system.

2) The cost explosion leads to the second major consequence of implementing a “right” to medical care: restrictions on the freedom of health care providers. During the debate over health care policy in the 1960s, proponents of Medicare and Medicaid assured doctors that they only wanted to pay for indigent care, and had no intention of regulating the profession. Abraham Ribicoff, then Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, said: “It should be absolutely no concern to a physician where a patient gets the money.

3) A third major consequence of implementing a right to health care is the increased burden imposed on consumers of health care—the ones who were originally not in need of government subsidies. As taxpayers, of course, they have to pay for all the programs; that’s point 1. But as consumers, they are also affected by all the distortions of the market which these programs create. Everyone pays the higher prices caused by the inflation of demand for medical services, together with the increased costs of regulation and paperwork. As people are priced out of the system, they are forced into managed care systems that limit their choices of doctors.

4) Yet another consequence is a growing demand for equality in health care. If something is a human right, after all, then it should be protected equally for all persons. Our system is based on the idea of equality before the law. Now if we plug into this system the additional idea that we all have a legal right to some good like health care, the natural inference is that we all ought to receive that good on a more or less equal footing.

5) The fifth consequence–the last one I’ll mention–is the collectivization of health care, and of health itself. Just as a mixed economy treats wealth as a collective asset, which the government is free to dispose of as it sees fit for “the common good,” so a collectivized health care system treats the health of its members as a collective asset. Under this regime, physicians no longer work for their patients, with the overriding responsibility to act in their interests. Instead, physicians are agents of “society” who must decide the amount and the kind of care they give an individual patient by reference to social needs, such as the need to control costs in the system as a whole. Indeed, even the individual in such a system is urged to protect his own health not because it is in his self-interest, but because he has a responsibility to society not to impose too many costs on it.

To summarize, then, a political system that tries to implement a right to health care will necessarily involve: forced transfers of wealth to pay for programs, loss of freedom for health care providers, higher prices and more restricted access by all consumers, a trend toward egalitarianism, and the collectivization of health care. These consequences are not accidental. They follow necessarily from the nature of the alleged right.

The long-term direction of public policy is not set by electoral politics, or by horse-trading in Congress, or by this or that court case. In the long term, at a basic level, public policy is set by ideas—ideas about things are just and worthy, what rights and obligations we have as individuals. The idea that people have a right to health care is inimical to our genuine liberties. The policies that flow from that idea are harmful to the interests of doctors and patients alike. To fight against those policies, we have to attack their root.1) To begin with, of course, the government has to tax some people to pay for medical subsidies offered to those it considers to be in need. So the first consequence of implementing a “right” to medical care is forced transfers of wealth from taxpayers to the clientele of programs like Medicare and Medicaid. And this will inflate the demand for health care services. Offering free or heavily subsidized care is inevitably going to increase overall use of the health care system.

It is also worth noting that the Supreme Court has never recognized a constitutional basis for any welfare right, including the right to medical care. The Court recognizes that the concept of rights embodied in our legal system is the concept of liberty rights. Welfare rights are a product of later movements to expand the role of government beyond the original conception of its role. In our constitutional system, there is no requirement that the federal government provide health care. Health care entitlements, unlike fundamental rights like freedom of speech, have to be invented by legislators.”

Hide in Shame

If the senate bill passes tonight.  Mr. President sign this monstrosity in the dark of night in the shadows. That is what you deserve the way this was done. This is nothing to be proud of. No TV camera’s no press you have challenged the morality of the people of this country. What the democrats do tonight is not worthy of a triumph. The democratic left have shown the lack of respect for the American way of life. Now see this country become American again with such speed through the rule of law that you will not comprehend how fast this will happen. God Bless this freedom loving country of individuals who hold fast to the historically proven view of limited government as the best form of government. The Left’s history starts with socialism and political upheaval, (Mid 1800 ‘s to the 1930′s.) The history of Individual freedom starts with Jesus culminating in the chronicles that begin with Cromwell moving forward to the Glorious Revolution in 1688 which sparked the greatest freedom mankind ever witnessed in recorded history. Many of this Whig generation argued the American philosophy we hold dear. Democrats that still hold dear American values vote NO to this bill. Rationality will hold true with the American electorate. This current legislation is not rational.

The Speaker says she never stops whipping.

That comment shows me how business is done in Washington, not quality with the best interest of the country in mind. What a rational congressional or administrative individual would question is what furthers individual freedom or restricts it within the nation.? That is why this current legislation will never be adhered to. By forcing this legislation as currently written you risk annihilating honest Americans when they break this new law. Tax breaks are a foolish answer to the problem. Hear this  FREEMEN DO NOT WANT YOU IN CHARGE OF HEALTH CARE PERIOD. I know insurance would love it and that is the real meat of the deal. Give us bodies through mandate and we will insure thereby socializing America. That is why insurance companies do not want true competition. What is crazy to me is that the insurance industry would think the US government could enforce such a law.? ( without accounting gimmicks distorting your bottom line it is the guarantee that you need.) Or even the risk of the Feds politically stand by it in the future, are you crazy.?  Members of congress think for yourself not from FEAR of the speaker or the president. Representatives be men and women from now on any backroom force they exert go to the press tell what deal was offered. The American people will understand the truth. America will stand by you if you stand by America. That is for both parties to understand.

Justice Thomas and Intimidation

My god have the left reached the point and sunk that low in attacking the wife of a supreme court justice to push there socialist agenda. Any true freedom loving democrat should break from their party now. Your leadership is irrational at this point. The American voter knows truth, stand by your convictions not the leadership. You know this health care legislation is wrong do not fool yourself. You are American before you are a democrat or a republican. This legislation if passed will be the death nail to socialism in this country. The reason is you will now force the hand of all freedom loving Americans to choose socialism or freedom. In doing so you test the power and force of the state to control the personal life of the American individual. Passage of this current legislation is not a vote of the brave it is a vote of the weak. The 111th democratic congress will be remembered as the Sodom and Gomorrah of politics. As a free man these tactics disgust me. Do you not know as men and women what you look like to your neighbors and other Americans.? Think for yourselves for Christ’s sake not a self absorbed group clinging to a dead philosophy.

Is it the media or politics?

I don’t see enough republican engagement (on T.V.) invalidating the problems with this existing legislation. From what is in the bill to why it needs to be passed NOW as is. The Republicans should be out front and center with the rational for real cost containment and as to the benefits with a piece meal approach to this problem. Keep Rep. Ryan,s Ideas out front as the alternative to smoke and mirrors. His idea’s are well thought out and ring true to a rational American.

Just to say democrats will loose over this vote is not enough. The idea that Republicans should just let the Dem’s vote on it for a 2010 election plank advantage is casual at best in this media environment. Or to give a one liner in response to the presidents dog and pony show yesterday. Keep the heat on showing Americans the common sense behind republican and independent idea’s. This current bill must end here  If not the republicans may find themselves bogged down in this same issue after the 2010 elections trying to repeal this same mess called health care legislation.

The Greatest Generation

I have been watching the recent clips about college students demanding no cuts in education and protesting in California shutting down interstate highways. There seems to be a feeling of entitlement among these gentlemen and ladies. These people without a second thought have no problem stealing another’s wealth abrogating personal property rights concentrating power in Washington.. With forty years of socialism and increasing government failures we may have to ask the greatest generation for one more act. You see the greatest generation spoke commonsense and understood truth. There are many in the country that are still able to hear and understand rational argument. As a common sense baby boomer I learned from your generation and understood why this country is great.

What the left does not understand is the American philosophy does not have a problem with health care reform. The problem is who will be in control (look at the new bureaucratic creations in this bill)  the country knows where that will lead and they reject it. It is not only rejected from a implementational standpoint but from a philosophical one. So I would humbly ask the Greatest Generation for one more act to secure America. That is to go in force to the polls in November. I know America is awake now and you can rest easy the American dream will last. From this point forward maybe this current entitlement generation will learn what a free society truly is and know socialism has no place among a free people. That is your gift to us and going forward we rational baby boomer Americans will not let it slip as we have the last 40years.
Richard Rumbold.”I may say this is a deluded generation, veiled with ignorance, that though popery and slavery be riding in upon them, do not perceive it; though I am sure there was no man born marked of God above another, for none comes into the world with a saddle on his back, neither any booted and spurred to ride him.”

I believe the fundamental problem is that we as a people have allowed the federal government to become too powerful thereby overly intrusive in our lives. Government has become the problem, a major cause of anxiety within our republic. It is this constant nonsense from Washington (which goes unchallenged by the media) that aids this distress and fear on a daily basis and people are agonizing over it.

Real CHANGE  is riding now.

Washington Let Go

Washington you have to let go. Now consumer confidence drops again to a ten month low. The uncertainty Washington projects is paramount to economic chaos. Do you really understand the ramifications of your apparent desire to control the private economy.? Why would anyone invest in anything.

Lets go over it again.

1. Drop taxes across the board for corporations. (for a ten year period)
2. Drop the estate tax and capital gain taxes for individuals.
3. Scrap health care as written and cap and trade legislation.
4. Control spending ( honestly )

Look guys you may be to intelligent to understand what moves economies. In case you are I have some recommendations for all the administrations experts and czars. We are hiring (all the experts welcome) lets hold hands and sing we are the world. Here is where you can help. (UNLESS YOU NEED TO BE IN CHARGE FOR SOME REASON)

1. Health care. We need people to empty the bed pans and wash individuals who cannot take care of themselves. Pay 10 dollars an hour.

2. Cap and trade. The world is melting so we need people (including CEO’s of the major corporations who support this junk science) to go around and make sure that the methane gas released from cows and humans does not exceed the new EPA limits. This may be hazardous to your health so we will Pay 11 dollars an hour.

3. The deficit. We need people than can look beyond the next election for the good of the American people. Must be intelligent, a good grasp of history that refutes a centralized approach to the economy and a deep understanding that can only recognize the freedom of the individual as the only architect to an entrepreneurial spirit. Pay: what the free market will bear and the knowledge that no one holds a mortgage on you and your children’s future.

Past generations have surmounted much larger mountains than this This generation can do the same.

Centralization

It will never work in America. It only works in the minds of the self delusional elitist. So the point is how much more do you want to degrade man through socialism.? Your view of sacrifice through taxes and philosophy are parasitic. In doing so you forcible take from my capacity to provide for my family and in turn my own definition as to the pursuit of my own happiness.

So not to seem like a (do nothing). WHAT CAN WE DO.?

1. THE DEFICIT IS THE PROBLEM. Before this can happen the federal government must reduce their own reach and power. They must prove to the American people that they can reduce spending and the micro management of the economy before the American people can get behind any serious deficit reduction.

2. For a ten year period (so business can plan) abolish the corporate income tax.

3. Drop current health care and cap and trade bills so business can plan. Allow the free market to open health care to true competition across state lines, incorporate private accounts and true tort reform.

4. Look into VOLUNTARY forfeiture of social security benefits for well off individuals that in turn may receive an estate tax benefit.

5. Reduce the power concentrated in Washington. Move that power out to the local and state area’s where it is best checked.

6. A complete halt to new government hiring and spending on new programs without equal budgetary offsets.
7. In all aspects congress must live by the very laws they create. You are public servants.

James Madison wrote. “The house of representatives can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as the great mass of society. This (circumstance) has always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them that communion of interest, and sympathy of sentiments, of which few governments have furnished examples; but without which every government degenerates into tyranny”.

8. A restriction of all relatives or married partners benefiting in any law being enacted by members. This keeps the axiom of “In the countries best interest “vigilant.

9. Free and open (public airway sponsored) televised debates. So a progression of ideas can be examined and deliberated among the citizenry.

10. Everybody that works in the United States pays a flat tax. All will have a stake in the size and intrusiveness of government while cutting out congressional shenanigans through special tax laws.

11. All legislation in front of congress should be transparent and visible (not accessible two hours before the vote). Prohibit the use of non vetted attachments.

Congress must start to understand that the American people are not used to such a level of intrusion. The socialist mindset says over time that all people can be controlled but again history does not bare this out. Everything is monitored or mandated without regard to the constitutionality of the law. Instead it favors the narrow interests of a GE or a Pfizer. e.g. The latest eminent domain case where Pfizer would benefit from the taking of private property so they could build condo’s in New London Ct.at the top of the market. Congress you need courage there is only one to blame and that is you.

I see more and more members of congress retiring. This maybe do to the revulsion of the current and past congressional management that promote such un- American procedures.. I would say the American people are also disgusted. It is not too late to show some backbone and do what is best for America.

What congressional members do not understand is that we do not send you to Washington to create havoc. We expect you to manage (from a constitutional basis) what is in the best interest of the country. You seem to have no idea how you look to your countrymen. It is very simple be an American.

Remember as Americans we know how to roll up our sleeves, work as a country and accomplish the goals we choose. It is our history and our future. There is only one component we need as a people to accomplish this. It is simple common sense not the irrationality that spews from members of congress. Please take an honest hard look and ask two questions.

1. Is your legislation helpful towards a free capitalist society?

2. Are you even equipped to handle such a task?

If people realize that this is the beginning and not the end we will start to bring common sense back to our country. Organize for 2010 and as the process starts, our belief that we as Americans can achieve anything will take hold. This is and will be our history as we have exhibited in the past.

AMERICA IS FREEDOM AND FREEDOM IS AMERICA

Embarrassing Again

Washington what the hell are you doing again??? Climate change science is dead. The populace will not accept the taxes associated with this massive junk science scheme. What you do now is again divert capital from sensible economic venues and steer towards a centralized governmental approach. Comments today were based on the artificially punitive price of energy to ween the American people from their addiction. ( I don’t need a nanny) The free markets across all lines of energy will allocate capital efficiently on its own. I saw an email the other day U.S. Dept of energy 1971 the goal (energy independence). Fy2010 dept energy currently 16000 employees and a 24 billion dollar a year budget. Something ain’t working.

Cap and Trade is a piggy bank for continued government spending. Nuclear great as long as they are free contracts offered to all comers not just union labor. The real question is why do you hide your agenda.? The answer is YOUR AGENDA LACKS COMMONSENSE. If congress thinks this is not apparent to the American people than look at two things your approval ratings and the price of gold. This is the best country in the world the bull crap spewed by the media of gotcha minute to minute analyisis is not America. The funny thing is the legislative and executive branches are not working for America but their own special interest groups. I would only ask this question , with commonsense could America tackle the problem of energy independence with out government interference. I say yes. If the administration would adopt a free market based commonsense approach to health care and energy by letting go of control, the people would be behind America and its government again.

7 Days in May

7 DAYS IN MAY great movie. I would say watch the last hour of this if not the whole picture. This administration believes in their purpose but historically it is defective and inept. American society can not be corralled and subjugated to an irrational bureaucracy. The point in the movie where the president says (if you don’t like it then run for office) is correct. The rule of law must be maintained. I would suggest that the left take a good look at the drama of force (which you advocate) and remember it is a free people that run a country.

Alexis de Tocqueville. “About this race of men stands an immense and tutelary power, which takes upon itself alone to secure their gratifications and to watch over their fate. That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild. It would be like the authority of a parent if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks, on the contrary, to keep them in perpetual childhood: it is well content that the public should rejoice, provided they think of nothing but rejoicing. For their happiness such a government willingly labors, but it chooses to be the soul agent and the only arbiter of that happiness; it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principle concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances; what remains, but to spare them all care of thinking and all the trouble of living?

The left moves to centralize power .

They must prove to the American people that they can reduce spending and control before the American people can get behind any serious deficit reduction. The funny thing is it is the exact opposite of your philosophy that needs to happen. I will leave it there but masters of the world take notice that is the only way to begin.

Is this the twilight zone.

Congress stop this joke of legislation called health reform. Keep some sense of self respect.

We are told that congress is still pushing health care regardless of the public outcry over further debt passed on to our children. My god the president and congress act as though health care is a inalienable right. Does the congress along with the president fantasize that this is the Emancipation Proclamation number two. The difference is the defense of a Natural Right as opposed to a government produced entitlement. I would suggest congress and the president get out of fantasy land.

Mr President you are not Abraham Lincoln with a mandate. He worked to led the country to a higher calling based on individual freedom your crowd works to divide it for special interests and governmental control. He fought for natural rights you fight for the expansion of the welfare state enslaving all. Save your reputation and move to the center leave the socialist agenda it has never worked for long. You believe your mark in history will be “the man who brought health care to all” I would predict that you and the congressional members that support this travesty will be thrown out of office next election. History will say ” the day free Americans finally saw the enemy and threw out the seeds of socialism and that was the turning point to recapture our country and maintained our freedom”.

You know this goal can be achieved through the free market if government got out of the way. Has your brain trust thought of the implications as to a total disregard by the American people to follow and abide by these new mandates.?

It’s really is up to you guy’s what you advocate works well in the cellars of Harvard or Washington. Historically centralized planning has never worked over time and has never worked for men who respect freedom and the individual. As free men and women we know that is not rational legislation. You see we would actually like to be left alone.

So Mr. president don’t over estimate your own importance. Recognize when you are wrong and become a great American president ( like Lincoln ) who freed the people not enslaved them with large governmental bureaucracy. You all have to wake up in Washington unless you can’t. Neither side gets help from our (professional media) all weekend was the discussion of the process not the substance. Washington with your actions you will accelerate your own demise becoming nothing more than clowns. The true joke will be the 2010 elections and how you deceived yourselves.

Think Deeper

Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. The hoopla over 1st amendment rights are upheld. Great ruling the opposite would have been a huge leap towards communism. I think the real argument going forward is the education of the populace. We have shown that as a nation we see the agenda that has been unleashed upon a free people but the question remains, where does the first line of defense start???  We know it is in the schools. A corporation can have the freedom to speak out as much as the individual but let us look at the power structure behind that right.

I reference Global warming propaganda and the total bull crap alliance between corporate owned media and government. ( By the way I know in the minds of these people it was lets direct the economy towards GREEN JOBS and that will sustain close to full employment.)  The public would rather be informed. With an informed public the Statist group has to understand that the argument has to be rational, not just spin. The only defense to this crap is an educated public ( school system) and a free press. which continues to loose readership due to the same previously mentioned relationship.

So the biggest fear to the global socialists would be that the greatest economy of the world would educate their children in American Ideals and the rationality that underpins our Republican  form of government. The control of a globalist form of government would never be tolerated by a free people armed with the philosophy of Individualism and natural rights. history bares this out. The teachers union, media and the federal government along with various others have been culpable in the deadening of our society. I see it in the eyes of the 24 year old college students that uphold the current administrations view of wealth distribution as if their putrid declaration was a right to decide without regard to 350 years of common law. As if the thought process of the central planner abrogated the rights of contract law and the natural right of man in a free society to reap the benefit of his labor.

What the socialist mentality advocates is that the re-numeration you reap for 20 years in business by fiat should be turned over to the MOB, (NOW YOUNG SOCIALIST GO PLAN YOUR FUTURE) The philosophy is based on theft. You would have to live in fear because you will never know who could take it away. Without the rule of law that upholds the right of ownership meaning property there is no country.

Wake up little masters on the universe to the idea YOU HAVE NO RIGHT the way you try to frame the argument. Be men first than you can argue.

Both Parties Still Don’t Get It.

Great win last night. Now all the apologists will raise their voices defending the socialist agenda. They will now spin the defeat on how and why this election in Mass. went to a republican. I would hope the American people take a good look on how close we as a nation are being manipulated by the socialists within our government. The left have shown their colors in both houses. Let us not forget who voted to enslave their neighbor through a morass of bureaucracy with cap and trade and health care legislation.

This centralized approach of “one fits all” mandate is the crux of the problem. So I have to ask the American people what is the most amiable path to take.? What offers the most freedom to the individual?. What system would be superior at keeping government in check?. The concentration of power has always led to atrocity even if it is congress instead of a dictator. Let us as Americans live up to our heritage and take the pressure off Washington. Let us alleviate the burden of narrow special interest so they can re-acquaint themselves on powers delegated to the federal government in the constitution.

Believe me Mr. President and Congress we can handle our own lives without the media induced fear or the top down management you exert. It is clear that power must revert back to state and local control. Americans can see that Washington is incompetent and meddlesome when it comes to the individual. This is where the modern political authoritarian must step back and check their premise as to their logic. How intrusive should government be.? It is quite easy to control this impulse by constraining governments ambition to micro manage people and begin to look towards individual freedom as the goal, it is then our country will flourish again.

The Enumerated Powers Act, introduced by Congressman John Shadegg is a proposed law that would require all bills introduced in the U.S. Congress to include a statement setting forth the specific constitutional authority under which the law is being enacted. The pendulum has moved way to far to the left maybe it is time to discuss the reach congress has usurped over the years limiting the freedom of the American people.

Congress has acted as children so treat them as such. As a free people lets take their toys away. It is survival of the fittest. The fittest are the free man or women of the United States of America not a parasitic federal  government.

America

First off to the state I was born in, THANK YOU. I thank you for beginning the debate that recaptures our greatness as a country. As Americans we will now came back to our roots which made us a great people. The idea that we elect dictators or paid parasites to do the bidding of either foreign states or domestic CEO’s will now be put to rest over time. Tonight opens the debate of what is good for America. Thank you Massachusetts for the second beginning.

Is the Briantrust Braindead

Who the hell is advising the president.? All corporate fees are passed on to the consumer. That is why the statist corporations like PFE, GE and the rest know this health care bill will not come out of the corporations bottom line. I understand that these bailouts were wrong (except financial only because they were allowed to work on the American taxpayers dime so we owe it). This is what happens when you have a relationship between the government and corporations. Governments proper function is to level the playing field by uniform laws not pick winners and losers. This is what the marriage of corporations and government have wrought as they try to move away from free enterprise capitalism. The fear or deliberate planning of loss in competitiveness in the new global economy left U.S. big business running to the government for security and monopoly power. The politicians mouths watered as control was placed in Washington’s hands.

This has been the view and direction that this country has attempted while we still had a prosperous middle-class. We all see the result. It is not capitalism that has failed it has been a government who’s interest has been aligned with interest’s that do not benefit this country. I still watch the benevolent interest Americans exert, as to the disastrous problems in Haiti. Fellow Americans we know in our hearts what is moral and correct. It is not division and one group over another. It is our own sense of a level playing field that allows true competition not backroom deals.

The two biggest lies from the interests aligned with Washington are Health care and Cap and trade. The beauty is America is awake now.

Capitalism Did Not Fail

It is liberalism that is failing look at the new legislation its force and extortion committed on the American people. Liberalism needs to constantly come back for new sources of revenue. Was it Maggie Thatcher who said socialism is great until the money runs out.? It must be that congress is so afraid of an economic collapse due to their decades of spending that they look to heath care and cap and trade as the new piggy bank. The new fees and taxes that will breath life into the federal government maintaining the status quo.

History dictates a different story, they will spend this new money on other projects to hide their tracks. The new taxes and fees will fund an expansion of government. What the politicians do not realize is a new structure of fiscal discipline will not only save their jobs but correct the path this country is on. If this is ignored what else are we to think as a people.? I would suggest three things.

1. Stop this ridiculous heath care bill NOW. This will show the American people two things. First that sanity has returned to Washington and that our government will start to regain fiscal discipline.

2. We begin to take a different approach to the world. Stop nation building. Let large American companies handle their own markets hell the American taxpayer is asked to pay off some dictator in sub Sahara Africa to open his country’s market to GE or ADM.

3. Start legislation that returns power back to the states. The federal government is not capable of micro management. Every historical lesson shows this to be true.

Congress must start to understand that the American people are not used to such a level of intrusion. The socialist mindset says over time that all people can be controlled but again history does not bare this out. Everything is monitored or mandated without regard to the constitutionality of the law. Instead it favors GE or Pfizer. The latest eminent domain case where Pfizer would benefit from the taking of private property so they could build condo’s at the top of the market. Congress you need courage there is only one to blame and that is you.

I see more and more members of congress retiring. This maybe do to the revulsion of the current and past congressional management or a deep understanding as to the path of such un- American procedures.. I would say the American people are also disgusted. It is not too late to show some backbone and do what is best for America.

What congressional members do not understand is that we do not send you to Washington to create havoc. We expect you to manage (from a constitutional basis) what is in the best interest of the country. You seem to have no idea how you look to your neighbors. It is very simple be an American.
