Announcing My Candidacy for President of the United States

Good people of Redstate my name is Whitney Howland and I am writing to inform you that I am running for the office of President of the United States. This is no joke. If elected I will do the following:

  • Issue an executive order to halt the implementation of the new Health Care laws. No ifs ands or buts. It stops the day after my inaugaration.
  • I will also issue executive orders to halt any other socialist legislation passed between now and the time I get elected.
  • If there is a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate, I will insist they repeal Health Care and any other bad law– “there is no try  there is only do!”
  • If there isn’t a Republican majority in congress, I will use the bully pulpit to see that there is one the next election cycle– and they will all be conservative.
  • Here is a sample of my foreign policy: Israel is right. The Palestinians are wrong. The United States stands with Israel in there fight to defeat their arch enemy.
  • Here is how I plan to pay off the national debt: One payment on the principle at a time.
  • Energy Policy: Drill! Drill! Drill! and I will get that done by executive order if necessary. Oh yeah I almost forgot, we are going nuclear!

For those of you who still think I am joking, then I urge you to step up to the plate if you think you’d be a better president. When that happens I will withdraw from the race. With that said I would like to address the following people.

  • Sarah Palin: Step up  and announce your canidacy or get off the stage.

  • Dick Cheney: what happened to “Hang on, help is on the way.”  Not another word from you unless it is to say “I will be your next president.”

  • Governor Rick Perry, buddy, “Tea Time’s over” it’s time for the shootin match!

Until you or anyone else wants to come forward I’m your guy. For those of you who say it’s too early to talk about 2012, I say this: It will be too damn late come November 2, 2012 when we are holding our noses and voting for someone like Lindsay Graham.  We’ve all heard that joke when we ask President Obama, “How’s that hope and change working out for you?”. HA HA HEE HEE! Well folks I’m not laughing anymore. We all know to well that this man’s presidency has gone badly for all of us. Real change will come when we go on the offensive. That sparkle burst moment is here and if no one else has the desire to seize it, then again I’m your guy. May God bless the great people of this nation.

An Open Letter to Katherine Sebelius

Dear Katherine Sebelius,

it is my understanding that you have in the very recent past urged the SEIU to continue what they are doing in regard to showing up at the Town Hall Meetings. Maam, I take it you have seen the videos of the behavior of the SEIU Representitives at various meetings. If not, would you please watch the video of the Kenneth Gladney beating at the Russ Carnahan Town Hall meeting?  It gives you some good insight on what your brethren in the SEIU are doing.  With that said my question is this: Just what is it that you want them to continue doing? So far, what they have done is injure very badly a person who was excercising his consitutional right to speak out and assemble peacefully.  Do you want a continuation of that?  Maam what do you think would qualify as going too far on the part of your associates?  Is this what you think your President and boss meant by “Change we can believe in?” I don’t believe it. Just why you do you think these tactics are necessary? What is it about this bill that in your mind is so great that a man had to get beaten for it and is now in wheel chair and under heavy sedation?  Do you believe those ends justify your means? I was almost getting used to losing my liberties under your administration. Should I now fear for my life if I don’t agree with you and your ilk? Each day all of you remain in power is another day that I miss former President Bush. He never unleashed goons on the American people. And he had way too much class to tell Congress to punch their consituents harder if they don’t go along with a said policy. Believe me Maam, this is coming from someone who had serious bones to pick with him. But, with that said, you people always out do yourselves with how far you are willing to go to advance your beliefs. Maam, it is just ideology! And it is just another stupid bill that has way too many pages for any of you well paid pencil pushers to read! Nobody else needs to be beaten over that. If that happens again, how much credibility do you think any of your side is going to have on issues such as waterboarding and Gitmo and other “human rights” concerns you all claim to deeply care about?  The type of treatment Kenneth Gladney received at the hands of those purple shirted goons was alot worse than any of the terrorists in Guantanamo Bay have received. And I hope I am wrong about that. So, again what is it that you want the SEIU to continue doing?

While you think about that here is a list of what I would like you and President Obama to do.

  1. tell your boss that the “Chicago way” belongs in Chicago and preferably at the bottom of Lake Michigan.
  2. While your at it, tell him to grow up.
  3. Also, learn a little more about  the “American Way”.
  4. You can accomplish point number four by cracking an American History book every now and then.
  5. Make the case why Government control over something as personal as one’s health is not Socialism.

It’s a very simple equation Maam… you stop shoving something down our throats that we don’t want, we will stop shouting.  Unlike your side, we don’t consider going to demonstrations and protesting all that much fun. We would rather sit back on a weekend day in the summer and enjoy the freedoms we have in this country. Unfortunately they are being threatened by you and President Obama.

Peace be with you

The beating of Kenneth Gladney at the Town Hall Meeting with Russ Carnahan

Yesterday was a bad day. I was sick. And that is due in large part to my stewing about the unprovoked beating that Kenneth Gladney received at the hands of at least three SEUI Cowards/thugs. Notice it took three of you cretins to pound on a guy selling flags and buttons. Its now 2:32 in the morning, Central Time and I am still angry. I get angrier every time I watch the video of the incident and see this brutish evil played before me in technicolor. So, I have a few things to say.

  • I first would like to apologize to our veterans of the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, and in wars past if you feel it is your duty to think you fight for these three to six Orcs. In my opinion you are not fighting for them and they don’t deserve the benefit of the sacrifice you are making or have made.

  • Then I would like to tip my hat to all of you Tea Party people and other Town Hall goers for standing up for all of us at what is turning out to be great risk to your well being.

  • Now I’d like to address Rahm Emanauel(sp?) and David Axelrod. You, Sirs, instructed the Legislators to “Punch back harder”… Mr. Emanauel and Mr. Axelrod neither one of you can punch hard enough to put down the spirit of Kenneth Gladney and the rest of the good people who oppose you. I would like to say I am one of those people, but those who went to the town hall meeting w/Russ Carnahan and got within ten feet of your Union and Acorn thugs, let me just say, I am not fit to carry their luggage. Furthermore I hope they were able to take good long showers afterwords.

  • To President Obama, respectfully sir…I again tip my hat, to those who you want to shut up while you “fix things” and in the process put the fix on all of us.  You have awakened the sleeping giant… but, so far, not the dragon. And I predict that that will not happen. WE WILL BE PEACEFUL!

  • To the Republicans in the House and the Senate who want my vote in 2010, you all need to watch the footage of the beating of Kenneth Gladney. Then, you need to take the gloves off and get in the faces of the likes of Rahm Emanauel and David Axelrod, and Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. Sirs and Maams, if you want our votes you had better mirror the anger you see amongst the grass roots AND GET ON A WARFOOTING. Unfortunately, for now we are doing all we are able to do. WE NEED YOUR HELP AND LEADERSHIP. I assure you we will send you lots of reinforcements in both the House and the Senate next year if you fight along side us. But, again, we need you to take on the big nasty fish the same way they engage you. Finally, you shouldn’t think that you’re stuck in Washington with them– they had better be stuck with you.

President Obama, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, and those 3-six Union Thugs you almost got me yesterday. It took a hymn that I learned long ago Sunday School to calm my bothered mind. With that in mind, I will continue to stand with God and if necessary march with him. It is my request and hope that at least three of you(OBama, Emanuel, Axelrod) leave Washington and go with “God” when 2012 rolls around.

Police, Fire, and Teachers

“We need to raise taxes or we will have to cut Police, Fire and Teachers. ” This excuse for raising taxes replaced the “Children” which was big in the 90′s. I like this one even less, because there is an element of extortion to it, as well as outright hubris.

The main thing you need to remember is that we as citizens know alot better  as to how to spend our money then our legislators do. And, you can never go wrong with more of it in your pocket. Also, before I give anymore money to someone I’ve been supporting, I like to know what happened to the money I already gave them. With that said the next time some  “fat cat” Governor lays this rap on me, I want or shall I say demand to know the following:

 1.  do they drive their own car or does the state provide them with one?

 2. who pays for them to live in the Governor’s Mansion?

 3. What is their yearly salary… when was the last time they were given a raise?

 4. how many people do they have on their staff… and what do they really do?

Before we make any cuts in Police, Fire and Teachers here is what we can do first:

1. require state legislators and leaders provide their own car and pay for their own gas.

2. have them pay rent on any state owned housing and pay utilities.

3. take a pay cut or maybe a roll back on a raise.

4. consolidate or let go of some of their personal staff.

The money saved in all four of these areas can go to pay salaries for policemen, firemen, and teachers. It’s done in all the time in the private sector. Also, these are the kinds of tough decisions an average family makes. But as we all know, our politicians will never do with less– voluntarily that is.

Well the last thing I would like to do is analyze how they could, if they had to make cuts in police, fire and teachers.

Fire: this one is tricky, but not impossible. What I would do is ask myself what I really need to put out a fire?

  • essential equipment and trained personnel.
  • a place to store the equipment
  • housing for the personnel

Now what don’t I need?

  • a fancy fire house… just a roof over someone’s head might do.
  •  fleet vehicles for staff that don’t actually fight the fires( out in the country volunteer fire fighter’s use their own vehicles… perhaps the “Commish” could drive his own.)
  • a Dalmation… all kidding aside, any equipment that is not related to fighting fires… if you want to personally provide it, by all means.
  • Sensitivity training or any other needless seminars.

Teachers: This I know is a sacred cow issue. And, no sacrifice is too small for the “children”. As a result, we end up with a lot of non essential personnel:

Health Teacher. Would it be asking too much to have the school nurse take over the teaching of health? It could be done by having a series of all school assemblies through out the year.

PE Teachers. Do we really need a separate teacher to supervise “kickball’? Private schools get by with having the history teacher take on that role.

How about just a Principal and a Dean? What does a Vice Principal do that a receptionist can’t?

Shop Teachers. Why do we want to encourage kids to work in a factory? If some kids are interested in that, perhaps they could show some intiative and get a summer job at a garage, or some other industrial arts business.(bold words I know)

Home Economics Teachers. Again private schools get by with farming those duties out to other teachers.

  • And lastly, Janitors. Here is another idea, maybe we could have Janitor/Shop Teachers.

Our primary focus for school should be to teach kids the three R’s, history and science.

Police: This is one of my faves. Isn’t it funny that the same people who worry about cutting police are ok with cutting Army, Navy, Airforce, and Marines and all the equipment that goes with those jobs? Politicians cut defense spending all the time. Very few people see this as a problem. So much so that I have seen bumper stickers that state that it would be nice if we had to have a bake sale to buy a bomber. Since we are ok with cuts in our Military, let’s examine how we could make cuts in our Law Enforcement.

Personnel: Seriously how many police officers does it really take to execute a successful seat belt check point? We always ask where a cop is when we need them. Well there are plenty… but they are too busy checking to see if you are wearing your seatbelt.

Equipment:

  • Red light Cameras: since when is it necessary to invest in hi tech equipment that violates our constitional rights? And just how much money do these tickets generate?
  • Vehicles: do they really need to drive a Charger? Or, would something comparable to a Crown Victoria do?
  • Weapons: why spend money on tasers, bean bag guns and other things non lethal that end up causing the perp to sue the police officer in the end?  And why do they need to be armed to the teeth when they can’t even shoot the bad guys when they have to?
  • Equipment: how necessary is a Ninja Mask?(if that’s how you want to dress, instead of guns, use throwing stars and nunchukas) It used to be Swat got by with wearing jumpsuits and blue ball caps. So, why do we need them to look like special forces?

Again, I want cops, teachers, and fire. But, my point is is that even in those areas there are some unnecessary expenses that could be cut if we really had to.

Remember, any politician, that tells you to give them more of your hard earned money to prevent the cutting of necessary services like police, teachers and fire, should not get one red cent. Instead, they should be fired.

Regrets regarding Sarah Palin

The day after the election I signed up on Redstate and one of my first posts was about why I thought Sarah Palin was not the one to run 2012. Now, it’s been three days since I have heard the news that she is stepping down from office… and I can’t help but wish I could take that diary back.

The lesson, mainly for me, is that true conservative figures are few and far between. So, when one comes along we need to rally around them. Sarah Palin deserved such treatment.

Some say that she is the equivalent to Ronald Reagan. WIth respect to her, and I hope she would agree, there will never be another Ronald Reagan; and we should stop looking for another. What Sarah Palin is, is Sarah Palin.  She is Sarah Palin who in 2009 is a conservative when no other Republican dares to be one.

Yesterday at the St. Louis Tea Party, a speaker compared our conservative activism against Obama and his gang’s mischief a Civil War. The resignation of Sarah Palin was Fort Sumter. I think, while this analogy is a little over the top, it does contain the type of fervor that we need to maintain to win this fight. Let’s take that kind of spirit and run with it. On that note here is what I believe our next step should be.

We need to take a pound of flesh from the next liberal media figure that crosses our path. Hopefully it will be David Letterman. But, I will settle for a John Stewart or Janeane Garofallo(who cares about spelling). Let us carry on that culture war and go around and look for a fight.

Time for a coalition.

Today my wife and I went to the St. Louis Tea Party in Washinton MO. There were about 3000 strong in attendance despite the inclement  weather. While we enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed listening to the great speakers(especially Dana LoeschSP?), we made one glaring observation: we are still fragmented as a movement.

Everywhere we looked, people had their own cause, there own website. Don’t get me wrong it is great to see everyone come out and all colors of the conservative rainbow represented. But, it again it felt unfocused. So, in the car on the way home, my wife and I decided that the direction the Tea Party movement needs to take is to unite all of these small interests under one umbrella. What we are talking about is developing one official conservative organization and website that achieves the following objectives:

  • Serves as a clearing house for all information pertaining to conservative issues and concerns: links to the little sites, list of conservative events and other opportunities for activism etc.

  • should be a place where we can pool our money and resources.

  • Be a media outlet where potential conservative canidates can gain recognition and speak directly to the American People the same way Reagan did.

As I see it right now, the situation is calling for a leader who is willing to come forth, announce their canidacy, and stand up to Obama and his Syndicate. A strong coalition of all these small conseravtive and libertarian causes will inspire and bolster such a leader.

As my wife put it, I wish we were this organized last year. If that had been the case, we might have seen different election results. With that in mind, it is time to step up our game. I believe we can do it. I believe we can turn back this “Socialist Tsunami.”  But again, in order to do that, we have to create an environment that is organized as well as inspirational, to spawn a leader who can go to Washington and take on this “Pirate Kingdom” that is being created.

God Bless.

Meghan McCain and why we should defend former President Bush

The more I watch that You Tube clip of Meghan McCain’s embarrassing appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, the more I realize how off the mark we were in throwing George Bush overboard as a strategy for trying to beat the Dems in 08.

I have to admit, my anger at Bush for going completely off the Res on some very key issues, clouded my judgement. I mean who could ever forget his State of the Union speech in 06 when he mugged into the camera and went “Green”.  Remember: America is addicted to oil.

But, my mistake and others was to not put that anger aside. And as a result, we allowed Team Obama to trash a sitting American Republican President.

As hard as it was, we owed it to ourselves and this country to highlight Bush’s good deeds. We should have drove home day after day how he kept us safe. In fact wouldn’t it have been nice if John McCain looked Barack Obama in the eye and said “We all owe President Bush a great debt for not allowing another attack to happen on his watch… further more I will never forget when he went on television on 9/11 and promised us that freedom would be defended… and it was.”  But he didn’t say that.

Instead, he ran a cowardly campaign and in the end, like he always does, tried to break bread with the other side by not confronting his liberal colleagues(ahem Barney Frank, Chris Dodd) in Congress who were truly responsible for the economic meltdown. And he threw Sarah Palin to the wolves. All this culminating in a very early night for the country on Nov 2, 2008 when Barack Obama defeated McCain handily.

Meghan McCain just reenforces why we want to run away from her dad’s brand of Republicanism.  And she also serves as a reminder that it is time to start defending a former president who I think has the wrong ideas as to what it means to be a Conservative, but was a decent man who loves this country, and acted decisively and courageously when the situation called for it.

WIth that said here are a few retorts to some of the standard comments pertaining to Former President Bush.

  • Obama inherited this economy from Bush: No he inherited it from Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Nancy Pelosi.
  • Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction and people died:  Former President Bush made the most of some bad intel and as a result, Saddam Hussien died.
  • The reason why we have high gas prices is because Bush and Cheney were in bed with Big Oil: No, we have high gas prices because Obama and other like minded politicians are in bed with Environmentalists.

Have fun…and fight the good and necessary fight.

To all those who support Obama

It is my prevailing philospohy that we should not hold Obama responsible for the damage he has caused this country. You have all read my previous diaries which espouse this belief.

With that said, I would like to address my remarks to all Obama supporters.

  • First: I want to say you all have been very silent since the election. What’s the matter cat got your tongue? How come no one has weighed in on how your guy is doing?

  • Two: If you need help articualting your thoughts on your President /Messiah/Sun King, I challenge you to answer this question: What economic policy of his do you think has been the most effective?  I will look forward to the statistical and anecdotal evidence to back up your glowing praise.

I know that if I were to ask an Obama Supporter this question their answer might include allusions to Former President Bush and the Iraq war and how much money was spent fighting it. Taking all of that into account, I want you to know this: In 2012, the Republican Challenger whoever that is, will, if he or she wants to, be able to run on Former President Bush’s record. In otherwords, just so we are all clear in my meaning, Obama’s performance in office will have been so bad that he will make President Bush look like Ronald Reagan. And while I am on the subject let’s list some of Bush’s achievements.

  • He brought down one of the most brutal dictators in our time.

  • He lowered my taxes which for some time stimulated the economy.

  • He restored decency to the White House which was badly needed after 8 years of his predecessor.

  • He provided steady, calm leadership during the worst attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor.

I am hoping you will find those points helpful as well. Feel free to compare Obama’s achievements to those.

One from the heart of a true Conservative.

As six months have passed and I have watched with all the rest of you in horror at what is being done to our country.  I have come to two conclusions.

  • Bush was not a Conservative(something I knew back in 99) and in the remaining months of his presidency he did not try to hide it… as we saw with his endorsement of TARP. The quote of his that still sticks in my craw is this: I chunked my free market principles…     Someone needs to remind  our former president that in order “chunk” your free market principles you first have to have them. Well maybe he thought he had them. Which leads me to my second point. Bush with all of his foibles was a nice man. And I believe he truly wanted to make this country a better place for future generations. And again, for all his foibles deserves all of us to recognize him as a former American President.

  • Obama on the other hand is not a nice person. I truly believe he hates me, hates this country, hates capitalism and wants to tear apart everything about this country that is dear to every American. I believe he has achieved half of that goal. This to me is conduct unbecoming of a president. As a result I do not consider him my president. I will do so when he starts acting like an American President and not a king or a dictator.

What I do recognize is the office of president–and I salute it. And I do recognize the rule of law and the laws of this country. Which is why we need to be studying the Constitution and demanding that our leaders answer to that document. This means more rallies, more visits to our state capitals. This means that a leader/ presidential canidate needs to emerge now. We need to beat this drum everyday… we have to be active supporters. I believe our rallying around Sarah Palin against David Letterman should be a model as to how we behave in the future. So, in closing, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!! But fight peacefully and don’t do anything to dishonor this great free nation of ours. May God bless each and every one of us.

Great Job to all who turned up the heat on Letterman

I mean that in the most sincere way. Some will tell you his joke was a calculated move for publicity. If this is true he got it, as well as some whoopass. To me the significance of this campaign is as follows.

  • We supported a Conservative Leader and her family. The more we support our spokespeople the more confident they will feel about unapologetically championing Conservativism.
  • We sent a loud and clear message to a Democratic Mouthpiece which was that we will not tolerate his puerile entertainment and slander of Sarah Palin’s family.
  • This was also a morale boost and confidence builder for our cause. It showed us what we can do when we get interested and inspired.

Let’s keep up the pressure on these guys

LETTERMAN MUST GO(thoughts and musings)

I have a new mission… and that mission is David Letterman. I will blog everyday about him until he is gone. It is my goal to end his career as a late night talk show host.   What follows is some very harsh rhetoric.

There is nothing that this puerile man can do to make amends for his assault on Willow Palin. It is my desire to make sure he never lives down what he said about this girl.  We need to fuel this fire. We need to keep the pressure on the networks. I am going to do everything “legally and peacefully” I can to make this happen.

So who is with me? Who is angry about this? I know alot of you are. If so, can we make a pact to hang this goblin’s deed not just around him, but others like  him?

I feel a fight is long over due and this to me is it. Folks let’s get hungry for political and professional scalps and right now Letterman’s will do. Let’s go to war! This post is short and I apologize. But I assure  there is more to come.

How far do they have to go?

After hearing Wanda Syke’s comments about Rush Limbaugh dying of kidney failure, after seeing Pres. Obama yucking it up, I am left with one question: How far do these people have to go? But this question is like spitting in the wind; and he who spits in the wind deserves what he gets. So what do we do?

I read another diary last night about Republican Strategy. Here is my contribution.

  • We make sure that Mz. Sykes comments become the Obama Adminstration’s number one plank in their political platform.

They need to own this one.  This is pure hate. It is hatred of all of us who are the true patriots. I don’t need to say any more. I won’t say more.

PS. Mz Sykes don’t bother apologizing for offending any of us: You disgust us.

Righteous Anger

This weekend I watched the documentary, Michael Moore Hates America; and there was one scene that made the biggest impression on me:

A man in Flint Michigan  who had started his own delicatessen was in the process of giving an unsatisfied customer her money back. He gave her money back and apologized for her disatisfaction. She took the money and as she walked out the door, you heard off screen ,glass shattering. The camera then moved to a plate glass window that had been broken: although you never saw her actually do it, it was quite clear that she smashed the window.

As I think about this scene, it is symbolic of how all of us sometimes bend over backwards to make nice with liberals–of how we keep our mouths shut so as not to offend– and how our Republican Representitives in Congress reach across the aisle in friendship. The end result in all these cases is that we offer our hand and end up pulling back a bloody stump.

My own experience with family members is no different. In the past I have made every effort to be respectful an learn as much as possible from my liberal relatives about their political views. I never provoked and never challenged outright.  In return, I got insults for my choice in political ideaology, and just recently was called a “Tea Bagger” and a Racist. Then along with my wife, I was defriended on Facebook by a relative who shall be nameless who didn’t like the fact that they were respectfully called on their slander and hypocrisy. Even though this is not as extreme as the previous example, it hurt just the same.

And I guess the reason why it hurt was because like the window incident, it was unexpected. One always wants to believe they will be rewarded for doing the right thing– and one never realizes until it is too late that they are dealing with people who don’t  have any control over their impulses. They shoot first and sometimes never asks questions– and when they find out they hurt someone,  they shrug it off like it was no big deal. In the case of Liberals/Socialists, they write it off as a sacrifice for the greater utopian good.

Well, I don’t know about you, but I have had enough. One of my favorite stories in the Bible is where Jesus drove the money changers out of the temple.  This was where he took a rope and knocked over their tables and smashed their merchandise and ran every one out of the temple. I like this story because this is the one and only time Jesus gets violent… and the message is that his reaction was more than appropriate and in his case, divine. To me it was appropriate because it was fueled by righteous anger.  Righteous anger is an emotion that is backed by love. In simple terms, he loved God and the idea of church. He loved it so much that he felt he had to take some dynamic action to save it. This, people is what we need: righteous anger. Righteous anger people, equals courage. Please understand, I do not advocate the destruction of personal property. If I did, that would negate my outrage over what I saw in that documentary. But what I do promote is the victory and defeat over a diseased ideaology as that of Liberalism/Socialism.  I believe in order to do that we need to damn the torpedos and forge ahead. Again, we need righteous anger… anger backed by love. In our case love of the United States of America.

And when I say love, I don’t mean love of its physical beauty. I mean love of the Founding Principles. Love of the original documents… respect for the sacrifices the Founding Fathers made. This is as easy as going to your library and checking out the Federalist Papers. Or pick up the writings of Abraham Lincoln… and definately read the Declaration of Independance, the Constitution. As you read these documents, let that love build!! Does this sound crazy? Does it sound stupid? God I hope so! Because it is time to get crazy. It is time to be crazy over this country and all that she stands for.  Once you have that crazy love, then you’ll see that this country is as sacred as a temple. And you’ll see “the moneychangers” are selling our future like fowl and livestock.  And this will turn to righteous anger; again, anger backed by love.

Then, once you have that Anger/love, practice what I call focused acts of small courage. The kind of courage my wife displayed when she stood up for herself, her immediate family(me) and our conservatism.  Then let those acts of courage build… so, when the time comes all of us can go after that person who smashed our neighbor’s window and take them by the scruff of the neck and drag them to the police station and demand justice. Then we can metaphorically do the same to Liberalism/Socialism.

I feel much better now.

God Bless and be well.

Dick Cheney

As much of a disappointment I feel George Bush was(and as Obama marches on it gets easier and easier to defend Ole George) I  will always have a soft spot for Dick Cheney; I am glad to see he is speaking out and may he continue. Now, please excuse me while I do some Chris Matthews gushing about this man– and understand these are all my opinions. I  have very few if no facts to back them up.

  • Next to Reagan, Cheney is the epitome of what a solid president should look like; there is nothing metro about this man.
  • After watching him savage Edwards in the VP debate of the 2004 elections I would love to have seen what he would have done to Obama– and would love to see him stare down world dictators.
  • Corollary to my first point. He is an adult. Not a petulant man child.
  • He is plain spoken and looks like he approaches life with a straight forward philosophy.

I’d say if he was any younger, he should be who we look to as our canidate in 2012. Again, I sincerly hope we hear more from him. This party needs his anchoring presense at this crucial time.

To the Future Republican Canidate

I hate to keep looking inward and sound like I am attacking Republicans when I should be attacking Democrats– and most of all our current administration. I don’t like sounding as though I am unable to let the past go. But everytime I hear of another bailout or socialist policy being touted… or everytime I think of Rahm Emanuel’s philosophy of don’t let a good crisis go to waste…and everytime I think of Saul Alinsky and our Community Organizer In Chief, I can’t help but remember the 8 year journey we all took with our former Republican Leaders that brought us to this point where our beloved Republic is hanging by a thread. So with that said here is a list of Do’s and Don’ts that you will follow if you expect to get my vote. I will start with the don’ts.

Don’ts:

  • Don’t run as a Compassionate Conservative.
  • Don’t run as a Maverick Republican
  • Don’t pal around with a little egghead with glasses who tells you to flip off your Conservative Base in order to pick off Democratic Voters.
  • Don’t ask for my Conservative vote when you have no intention of championing my Conservative beliefs.
  • Don’t talk about how you were able to work with the other side of the aisle when you were Governor of your state.
  • Don’t be a bumbler.
  • Don’t choose a VP that we all like and then mishandle him/her.
  • Don’t talk about Green Energy.
  • Don’t suspend your campaign to go to Washington to rubber stamp the biggest Socialist power grab we have seen our lifetime since the New Deal.
  • Don’t parrot your opponent’s talking points.

 Do’s

  • Do run as a Conservative.
  • Do find a campaign manager in the mold of the late great Lee Atwater.
  • Do talk about having our own oil supply.
  • Do call your opponent un patriotic if they deserve it.
  • Do point out in the debate their associations with unsavory people.
  • Do point out how their policies have ushered in Socialism.
  • Do point out how they are weak on foreign policy.
  • Do talk about how you will appoint Conservatives in your cabinet.
  • Do talk about how you will appoint Supreme Court Judges who will not cite foreign law in their opinions.

Last week’s tea parties should be a clear example of what we would like your message to be. And let me remind you that Bob Dole and John McCain did not make it to the White House. We will settle for nothing less than a Conservative who spits fire and eats the other side for breakfast.

The Dixie Who?

By now we have all heard Mizz Garofalo’s rant. We all feelthe outrage. But it is time to pick up the pieces of our own egos and clarify and put her comments in perspective. Mizz Garafolo and the dog slobber that yesterday came from her mouth is symbolic of who we as Tea Party goers need to focus our attack on. It is the supporters of Obama we need to go after– and in the case of Garofalo and others, the supporter’s who have influence and the loudest voices. It won’t be enough to win in Washington. The Culture War  is 75 percent of this battle. If we don’t win that fight, any victory in Washington will be hollow; as well the victorious Republican Canidates we elect. How do we this? The answer lies in the following example.

The Dixie Chicks! “The Dixie Who?” you ask. Exactly! This was our finest moment as Conservative Culture Warriors; the year they made those comments over seas about our sitting President( and who I will say is not the same guy who left office this last January). This was the year we told Natalie Maines and her other two harpies to get the hell out of Nashville– and as a result we put them right where they belong– in the obscure coffee houses; the land of silly berets and bad poetry. And, they have been crying ever since.

So let’s bottle up that zeal and do the same to Mizz Garafolo and any other Hollywood scum who cross our paths and assault our country’s values and principles.

Zingers for Liberals

If you try and beat a Liberal with facts, they will call you stupid and essentially take their ball and go home. They usually give you about twenty seconds of air time before they sucker punch you. The key to arguing with a Liberal is to master the art of the zinger. So, without further fanfare, here are a few that I have come up with:

1. to be used when a Lib tells you that Barack inherited such and such problem from Bush.

Just because he inherited the problem, doesn’t mean he has the license to exacerbate it.

2. to be used when a Lib tries to explain what Barack is doing to fix the economy; the lead off might sound like this:

Barack is trying to stimulate the economy….

Your response:  I’d prefer he not try socialism…

Additional response: Furthermore, I only want him to succeed on the merit of the core beliefs of the Founding Fathers and  the principles of the Consitution…

3. for when a liberal says in regard to the bailouts that “we have to do something”.

Wrong! We need to do the “Right thing”.

4. for when a Lib asks about all the jobs that are going to be lost if we do not prop up more failing companies.

a. When is the right time to get off a sinking ship?

b. Why should I pay someone’s salary if I can’t decide how much they are worth?

5. For when a Lib tells you Bush is guilty of doing the same thing… IE spending, or running up the deficit.

Former President Bush  would be very happy that you’re using his achievements as a yardstick for President Obama’s success…

I understand that you may not like or agree with all of these comebacks. If so, I urge you to come up with your own.

Michael Steele where are you?

Last night, I with many other Americans watched President Obama be a guest on Jay Leno; and I watched him make his infamous comment about the Special Olympics. Frankly, I am not suprised to hear that kind of talk come from him.  And, I immediately saw it for what it was. This is the kind of comment you hear from Liberals all the time– despite the fact that they claim to be the compassionate champions of the “Little Guy”. They feel they can make these kinds of remarks because they are cooler, smarter and more beautiful than the rest of us; and that trumps any contradiction with their professed compassionate and enlightened ideaology. So, we should expect more of this hypocrisy to come our way from these people.

With that said we should not tolerate any silence from likes of Michael Steele who was quick to call Rush Limbaugh’s CPAC speech incendiary and ugly. President Obama’s ”Special Olympics” comment exemplifies the type of speech that deserves to be branded with those two monikers. So, Michael Steele, and the other usual suspects, it is time to step up and do your job if you want to have any chance of  being taken seriously as any type of spokesman for the Republican Cause.

How do you feel right now?

Thoughts on the Walmart Tragedy

What is so disgusting about the Walmart trampling incident is that it involved regular people. Not some serial killer. Not some terrorist. But instead 2000 regular American “Slobs” of who I have one question for: HOW DO YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW! You are all what we are fighting against on this site; and I too vow to fight even harder against you goblins. You people are not jerks. You are not sick. You are not stupid. What you are is evil. I hope one day you wake up and look in the mirror and realize what you did on Nov 28th, 2008 and live the rest of your life in torment. If any of you are reading this and think I am being too harsh, then come forward and explain yourself… this should be good practice for when you answer to God.

Obama Supporters don’t need tax cut

What we as Conservatives can do to reverse this Tsunami of Liberal Madness

Two days ago Rush Limbaugh cited an AP poll stating the majority of people felt it was ok for Obama not to keep his promise of tax cuts since he was going to have so much work to do in regard to the economy. In the past I did not put too much stock in polls. But this time I will take the AP on their word; I wouldn’t put anything by Obama supporters. The bad news, if my lead off wasn’t grim enough is expressed in the following:

  1. The wrong path has never been so carefully laid out as it has here by President Elect Obama and his stooges.

  2. Our foes have thought of everything and have contingencies for every set back to their agenda.

  3. We are out-gunned by Team Obama– at least for now.

I could go on, but this is enough salt in some very deep wounds. Here is the good news… this tide can be reversed. But we are going to need to learn to crawl before we can walk. And the solution needs to start with you and me. So, here our the baby steps which address the ways we need to condition ourselves to espouse our message with confidence and clarity.

  1. We all have friends who are liberal. They are nice and decent people. But we need to have consevative friends as well( more than one). And we need to make a point of getting together with just them. This is so we can all talk about issues freely. If you are like me, you have had a very hard time standing up for conservatism with any zeal during dinner conversations with your nice but misguided friends. Any comments you have made have been tepid. Again with your conservative friends, get used to speaking loudly and proudly about conservatism. Develop strategies for combatting the idiocy from the other side.

  2. Turn off talk radio once in awhile. I feel bad about saying this. However you need to read some Thomas Sowell or Adam Smith. Or better yet, read the Constitution, the Federalist papers and any other founding documents you can get your hands on; eventually these will be the muskets you are going to use. So practice shooting them.

  3. Develop the courage to just do it… or just say it. Call a spade a spade. If someone says something stupid, tell them that it was stupid. Don’t worry about backing up that assertion. Just say it! Liberals speak their minds like this all the time and worry not about the consequences. We need to develop this type of assertiveness and power. It will be tough, because we have been taught to disagree respectfully. Unfotunately that does not win the verbal hand to hand combat that you will eventually engage in. I will explain more about this in another diary.

We are fighting a bloody campaign against people who are skilled in political warfare. They’ve been at this for years. They have lived and breathed liberalism. They started out small and gradually grew into an unstoppable army with steps similair to these. We need to do the same… we need to do the same.
