1. PPP polls Ohio, finds Obama up by 5 (September 9, 2012)

The usual things to look at in polls like this are over sampling of Democrats, this poll has Dems +4 which seems fair but I can’t seem to find a resource to confirm that. But that’s not my point with this poll. Look at Questions 14 and 15:

Barack Obama or Mitt Romney?

15. Who do you think deserves more credit for the
killing of Osama bin Laden: Barack Obama or
Mitt Romney? (!)

Question 14 was asked solely to provide cover for the president after his massive egg he laid at the convention. Of course every lemming with a brain stem is going to say the president gives better speeches, they’ve had it pounded into their skulls since 2004.

Question 15 is just incredible. Why even ask that question? What did Mitt Romney ever have to do with the killing of Bin Laden? #14 was simply to help push a narrative, #15 was borderline push polling. Hey guys, remember when I killed Bin Laden? I know you guys really need jobs but seriously, Bin Laden.

Just to add to the absurdity, here we have the President of PPP giving us his sage wisdom: “It’s hard to see a path to victory for Mitt Romney without Ohio,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “But Barack Obama’s led in our polling there all year and now his advantage is getting larger.”

2. PPP rushes Missouri Senate Poll after Todd Akin self-immolates. August 20, 2012

This poll was conducted THE SAME DAY Akin made his legitimate rape comment. Common sense dictates it takes longer for the real effects of an event to take hold. The real issue is that this data was released in the midst of a strong push from the GOP to get Akin to step aside. Akin even pointed to this poll that showed him still leading by a point to help him justify staying in the race. 2 days later, Rasmussen has McCaskill +10. Barring a miracle, you don’t ambiguously question the legitimacy of certain ‘kinds’ of rape and survive politically. PPP clearly tried to help the McCaskill campaign in their efforts to keep Akin in the race, as they had been doing all along.

PPP… you suck.

To begin with since its fresh in my mind, the US Anti Doping Agency receives $9,000,000 a year from my taxes. They’ve done a great job of consistently sucking and abusing their power. I think we can stop wasting my money on them.

The Pentagon proposed $48,700,000,000 in cuts for their budget (487 BILLION over 10 years). Lawmakers actually fought this and placed much of it back in the budget. Programs they’re trying to keep are:

Global Hawk ($2.5 Billion over 5 years)
Cancelling the C-27J ($400 million)
M1-Abrams upgrades (listed as 100′s of millions, but lets keep it right at 100 million)
East Coast missile battery to protect against Iran ($100 million and completely unneeded)

If we figure these down to their per year costs assuming their total cost is over 10 years when it isnt specified, by removing this spending we save $560,000,000 next year alone. Remember, these are programs the Pentagon has clearly stated are unnecessary. Also of note, many of the above programs are from Ohio alone.

We can reduce improper payments in Medicare by the tune of $47,900,000,000 in one year alone.

We can reduce the amount of money the federal government spends on pointless travel by 50% saving $7,500,000,000 a year.

We are paying $200,000,000 a year to private corporations to advertise our products overseas.

$400,000,000 on an unnecessary courthouse.

$150,000,000 Cotton subsidy to…drum roll… Brazil.

I had to stop at this point b/c I just got extremely angry. I could go on and on and on. People like the National Taxpayers Union and Citizens Against Government Waste actually have detailed breakouts of wasteful programs. Look them up on twitter.

The grand total of the above program cuts are $56,719,000,000. None of that gigantic waste is controversial or sacred. If we want to talk about cutting serious spending where the real meat is like entitlements, we have to got to cut the small garbage out first to even sound serious when making the argument. I didn’t want to touch anything sacred to demonstrate how EASY it would be to rein in so much wasteful spending. The closest I came to a sacred cow was illegitimate medicare payments that everyone agrees are not justifiable expenditures. I can’t even wrap my head around how we’re paying billions of dollars to people for absolutely no reason at all. Its depressing. I could talk about the billions wasted on bailouts or on His Eminence’s crony green energy programs but its too early in the day to start drinking.

I tried making that into a bumper sticker but my bumper wasn’t long enough. Only in America is “states’ rights” considered racist while THEY’RE GOING TO RE-ENSLAVE YOU completely rational discourse. Calling the President a radical means you hate black people, but saying “I love dead Republicans” means you’re an intellectual.

Nevermind the fact that Obama is personally responsible for the murders of two men protecting our country from drug cartels and countless other innocent Mexicans. Nevermind the fact that Obama’s policies are constricting job growth thereby preventing Americans from getting onto life saving healthcare plans through their employers. Nevermind the fact that Obama has already implemented the medicare cuts that they are accusing Republicans of wanting to do. Nevermind all that, it doesn’t matter.

Mitt Romney wants you to die.

P.S. Thankfully the President has yet to discover Romney’s cat stomping fetish, but somebody told me about it, its out there so it must be true. I hope Romney is ready for those ads of him slaughtering baby kittens by the thousands.

Rachel Maddow begins by trying to pin Medicare cuts on Paul Ryan. Lowry then throws Obamacare induced Medicare cuts right back in her face and demands to know if she supports those cuts. Maddow tries to dodge by claiming she isn’t running for president (lol). Lowry does not let up and Rachel Maddow starts howling at him including a brief period of literally waving her hands directly in his face. She is trying desperately to get a point out instead of answering his question. Here is what was supposed to be her amazing counter point to the simple facts that Lowry pointed out:

Maddow: “Wait Wait!!! Wait! What I wanna know…what…can I say something? can I say something?…What I want to know is the logic…what I want to know is the logic of attacking someone for something you yourself are proposing to do?”

Let that sink in for a moment to realize what just happened. Obamacare cuts hundreds of billions of dollars from Medicare… ‘Obama for America’ goes crazy screaming about how Republicans want to kill Medicare. You’re right Rachel, THAT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE! Thanks for pointing that out! I am so glad to hear that your’e going to be supporting Mitt Romney on this. I knew you’d come around.

Her juvenile behavior was amazing to watch. Like a little kid screaming wait! wait! wait! including the jumping up and down with arms flailing, then once she finally gets her point out, its utterly self defeating.

The note says “You guys have it way too soft — nice ride. -Mitt P.S. — Erased your hard drives.”

Obviously this is a joke and I thought it was kind of funny, apparently I was dead wrong. Take a quick visit over to the daily kos to which I wont link. The top post right now is titled “Dick Romney” and the commenters have gone completely apoplectic. Read the comments over there, its even funnier than Romney’s joke, just not intentionally so.

“Poor Willard lusts for power. Power, to be felt, has to hurt.  So, Willard inflicts hurt (assaulting people, cutting their hair, erasing their information base) in order to feel powerful.”

“He’s Nixon reborn.”

Did he really write or is it snark ?? I can’t keep up any more ……If he did write it, how does he intend to get elected FAIRLY, alienating the voters, the media and etc. ? I guess he is just counting on dirty tricks and voter suppression to get him over the hump and into 51% territory. Really sad for our country. Especially if it works.

There is more, including people expressing the belief that Mitt Romney would throw a disabled person over a cliff. Not even metaphorically, literally. I have no idea what planet these people are on. Can they not take a joke. Its painfully obvious that most of them don’t even realize that he didn’t actually erase their hard drives. The collective brainpower is strong with that group. A couple people dared speak up to say they weren’t quite sure what the big deal was and they were swiftly slapped down. Anyways, just thought you’d like to share in the laughs.

I can’t believe that a person started with Mitt Romney writing a joke on a piece of paper and ended up at conspiracy to commit voter fraud? How do you make these kinds of logical conclusions?
