Summary of a Leaders Duties

These are the things I want you to teach and preach. If you have leaders there who teach otherwise, who refuse the solid words of our Master Jesus and this godly instruction, tag them for what they are: ignorant windbags who infect the air with germs of envy, controversy, bad-mouthing, suspicious rumors. These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they don’t tell the truth. To them religion is just a way to get rich. A devout life does bring wealth, but it’s the rich simplicity of being yourself before God. After all, we didn’t bring anything with us when we came into the world, and we certainly cannot carry anything with us when we die. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But if it’s only money these leaders are after, they’ll self-destruct in no time. For the love of money is at the root of all kinds of evil. Going down that path, some lose their footing in the faith completely and live to regret it bitterly ever after. But you, man of God: Run for your life from all this. Pursue a righteous life–a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy. Fight the good fight for what we believe. Hold tightly to the eternal life that God has given you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.

‘Unity’, The Unintended Consequence of a Large Group

On February 14, 2009, a pro-life group was started on facebook. In just 45 days, it had reached 1 million members. Since then it has steadily grown to where it is now over 1.75 million members.  The groups original mission- to encourage, inspire and inform. Simple and very effective.

Along the way, we’ve learned something interesting. The massive size of the group has begun to create an unintended consequence- Unity, in the pro-life movement. People and organization are connecting through the group. Some for the first time. These connections are creating a new momentum in the pro-life movement. More and more people are becoming energized by this simple concept- ‘we are not alone’. There are others out there that ‘believe’ the same things that we do. And, we are connected and should be working together.

Unity-is a very simple/powerful/motivating concept. When people begin to align together through their common beliefs, their is unstoppable movement/synergy.

So, what do we learn from this?

Simply, to stay away from divisive people…focus on your core beliefs/passions…connect & work with like-minded people.

The Predators are Exposed!

Oppression, fear, confusion and control enslaves a person.  When emotional pressure is applied, a person can be pushed beyond normal/rational thinking. Sometimes, even to a place where they’re no longer able to control their thoughts. They slip in to a world of delusions, fear, paranoia and confusion. Their world view becomes one of of paradoxes…good is bad, freedom is enslavement, right is wrong. They no longer see things clearly. They depend on others for help and to survive. They have become enslaved.

In years past, this was an isolated occurrence. This is no longer the case. Their numbers are increasing daily. All around us, people are struggling to cope with life/reality. They’re desperate. They need help. They cry out, but no one hears them…Who can they turn to? Men, authorities, the government…there is no one. For these are all corruptible and will eventually fail.

In fact, some have already been corrupted. We can see this by the things they say and do….

For example: Some have been placed in positions of authority/responsibility to protect/help the hurting. Instead, they’re now intentionally causing harm to those that they’re responsible for. The protectors have now become the tormentors. Enslaving any that succumb to their deceptive words. There is no compassion/justice with this ‘bunch’. Only lies, arrogance, greed and selfishness. Let’s call them what they are – predators! They intentionally create/allow/endorse an environment of confusion, fear and oppression. They thrive in the chaos they create.

Look around! These predators are everywhere…but fear not. They are now being exposed. Which diminishes their power/control. They’re lack of justice and compassion will be their undoing. We now understand how they operate, who they are and how to stop them. They are culpable and they will be judged.

Let’s not allow this bunch to distract/discourage us anymore. Their spell has no power over us. We are free men and women.  It’s time to move forward and take the territory back.  Let’s move quickly to defend/protect/help our brothers/sisters/children/parents/neighbors/friends/countrymen! We have a moral obligation and a right to protect the defenseless. We must do it at all cost and we must do it now!

Let’s do what’s right! In our hearts, we already know what needs to be done…

This is GOD’s Message: Attend to matters of justice. Set things right between people. Rescue victims from their exploiters. Don’t take advantage of the homeless, the orphans, the widows. Stop the murdering! Jeremiah 22:3 MSG

Priorities? $300M Terrorist Trial vs $100M Aid for Haiti.

We are a nation comprised of compassionate people. We are quick to help those in need and to support relief efforts. We are a giving people- quick to volunteer and fund compassion projects. So here we are with a major disaster near our borders. The American people are focused/mobilizing to help our neighbors. And yet, there are those that are concerned about their own agendas….

This is a teachable moment. There are two types of people- Outward focused or Self focused.

Outward – focused people think more about the well being of others more than themselves. They are willing to sacrifice to help others.  The adverse is Self – focused people. They think of only themselves and have a what’s in it for me mentality. You cannot be both. There is no compromise between these two positions. You are either one or the other. Outward focused or Self focused. They are a choice. Which one will you choose?

So, here’s a thought – let’s be outward focused and leave the terrorists at Gitmo and use the millions of dollars that would otherwise be spent/wasted on a few (ex. lawyers, security, etc). And let’s help those in desperate need now.

Here’s a reminder for all of us….

“Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.” (the words of Jesus, found in the bible – Matthew 10:42)

An Open Letter To Politicians!

We are focused and determined. We are diverse. Our skin is dark, olive and light.  We are color blind. We come from many nations. We are old and we are young. We are fighters and we are lovers. We are married and we are single. We are husbands, wives, grandmothers, grandfathers, daughters, sons, nieces and nephews. We are bold and we are timid. We are activists and we are peacemakers. We are republican, we are democrat, we are independent. We are former presidents. We are citizens and we are aliens. We are CEO’s and we are workers. We are voters. We pay taxes. We work hard. We understand authority, humility, dignity, respect, honor, duty and compassion. We are strong. We are everywhere. We are formidable. We are many (in the millions) and our numbers are increasing daily!

We believe in the sanctity of life (from conception to a natural death), honor, justice, truth, freedom, safety, security and compassion! We will do everything within our power to rescue the victims of injustice, help the disadvantaged, fight for the exploited, defend the defenseless and expose and destroy corruption!

We thank you for awakening us from our deep slumber!

Pro-Life! What The Bible Says.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)

Your hands made me and formed me. (Psalm 119:3)

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart. (Jeremiah 1:5)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14)

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. (Psalm 139:15-16)

This is what the Lord says – he who made you, who formed you in the womb. (Isaiah 44:2)

From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God. (Psalm 22:10)

Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother’s breast. (Psalm 22:19)

From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you. (Psalm 71:6)

All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)

I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

It’s Time For An Intervention.

Is it it time for the American taxpayers to step in and do an Intervention on Congress? They’re showing all the classic symptoms of an addict.

Addiction: The state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming.

Addictions come in many varieties. Our society is riddled with: alcoholism, illicit drugs, prescription drug abuse, gambling, sexual addiction, pornography, cigarette smoking, and food addiction. All of these addictions share one thing in common; they bring temporary pleasure at the expense of long-term harmful consequences.

In their case, it’s an addiction to ‘power’. Like many addictions, this one is often accompanied by the presence of deviant behaviors (hiding, lying, fraud, stealing, cover-ups), compulsive behaviors (checking doors, excessive hand wringing, constantly blaming former presidents) and abnormal behaviors (emotional instability, anger, depression, arrogance, narcsism, dilussional, anxiety/panic attacks, tea bag fetishes). Enough said.

It’s time to be compassionate. We must help them. We must Intervene. So, how do we do it?
