Political euphemisms are always ripe for parody and cynicism. So, in their brilliance, the DNC decided to hold the 2012 DNC convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, a state that will swing Republican this fall and decided to vote against gay marriage right when Obama decided to be for it. Oh, and they are holding the convention at the Bank of America stadium.  What a fitting tribute to the help our OWS President has given the 1%er class Bankers.

Ooops. Well, we can’t have that …

National Democrats have repeatedly touted their stand against taking corporate money for their convention in September, and so it was striking to see two emails from the DNC host committee referring to the Charlotte venue where President Obama will speak as “Panthers Stadium.”

It’s the place where the Panthers play, but it’s actually called Bank of America stadium.

So now its Panther Stadium. A commenter quipped:

I’m surprised they didn’t go all the way and call it New Black Panther Stadium.

So there you have it. Anytime you hear the Democrats try to avoid calling it Bank of America Stadium, just pipe up and say “oh, you mean New Black Panther Stadium”…. The shoe fits, and the DNC should enjoy wearing it.
