Sen. Tim Johnson’s Campaign Schedule
Announcing the Campaign for Your Vote, but your not invited
It seems that Senator Tim Johnson, on the heels of his refusing any public debates with his challenger Joel Dydstra, has announces his barnstorming campaign schedule so the people can meet him and talk to him.
There is only one problem, they are closed to the public!
However, here is Tim Johnson’s announcement that counters the charge that he is not making himself available to the public.
U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.D., plans to travel to about 19 cities for more than three dozen events over the next four weeks, his staff announced this afternoon.
Johnson has been criticized for deciding not to participate in debates with his Republican rival, Joel Dykstra.
Details on Johnson’s campaign trip are still being finalized, according to a statement from his office.
Johnson began his trip today with a Sioux Falls roundtable discussion on gas prices.
Roundatable discussions? Mr Johnson’s idea of a roundtable discussion involves invitations and closed doors. I liked another instance of a campaign stop. It seems he went to Aberdeen to meet with (drum roll) The Brown County States Attorney to discuss how his office is making the internet safe for children. However, it was closed to the public.
…and so the campaign that is closed to the public continues.
