I can’t understand a word you are saying! And, if I can’t understand it, you think some swing voter in Ohio is going to figure it out?

Also, is the guy who invented Obama-care/Romney-care, the guy we want making the case on health care?

Romney and/or surrogates do need to get tougher like they did in the primary. Hopefully they are just waiting a bit longer to unleash closer to the election in order to not tire out the message.

Where’s Gingrich been? He was successful in attacking Obama getting under the admin’s skin and drawing pathetic reactions. Gingrich giving voters 2 choices, (job creating president or would you like a food stamp president?) are very effective and make people think. He was able to draw clear distinctions in a simple manner for people. Why isn’t he out there being an attack dog for Romney? It seemed he was willing to do so not long after he dropped out.

If Romney goes soft like McCain we are doomed.

I think a lot of informed people are going to think about this at least a bit in November, not what you need with a candidate who can’t get above 41% on In Trade.

I think the campaign is not focusing enough on its strategy for ultimate victory. We’re reacting to Obama clumsily, not standing up to him, rebutting his lies, AND building the contrast.

Agree that he should remain a gentleman and can do so and still get his points across.

I’m not the most erudite person here at Redstate by a long shot but I’ve got a pretty good mind for reading people’s personalities and understanding the context in which they have to make decisions. Romney needs to preserve the Gentleman, most people like the Gentleman – but he also needs to have the Sword to back it up.

It’s nothing personal, really, against Barack Obama. In a lot of ways I identify with him after having read some of his book(s) and knowing his background, and especially knowing how much of a hope vessel he was for the people who shepherded him into the place he is today. I’ve been around that block several times.

He’s wrong for America because fundamentally is a leftist academic. This is not a leftist country and it shouldn’t be. Nothing he’s said or done so far, though, has surprised me very much. This recent attack on Bain Capital comes close, though. His campaign team is really getting into the realm of scary in their desparation. I think it’s going to get worse, and Romney had better be prepared for that.

But thanks, I haven’t commented here at Redstate in a long time. I’ve had my own fish to fry and I’m trying to get all the dead fish off the grill, as it were.
