After a moderately comedic speech, that failed to inspire either the laughs or the unity it was intended to provide, Sarah Silverman addressed the … well I can’t say elephant, lets just say donkey, in the room. The tension between the Bernie supporters and the Hillary fans has been on full display throughout the primary and the Democratic National Convention has really been no different.

Flanked by “comedian” and “Senator” Al Franken, Silverman stalled for time while an aged hippie prepared himself to sing a few mellow jams to calm the angst ridden crowd. Then, all of the sudden and rather unexpectedly, Silverman made the Sanders supporters really feel the Bern, or burn. I don’t really know.

That was, by far, the funniest thing I have ever seen either of them do.

Unfortunately, it still wasn’t half the joke this entire election is. Sanders is a socialist scum bag, Hillary is a communist scumbag. Trump is Trump.
