In a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included the Lt. Governor of Kentucky, a new life-size replica of Noah’s Ark, built to Biblical specifications was dedicated Tuesday in Williamstown in the state, just south of Cincinnati, Ohio. The theme park and reproduction open today.

The theme park, Ark Encounter, is a $100 million dollar complex from Ken Ham, creator of The Creation Museum.

Republican Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton spoke at the event:

“We are so blessed that this great, great attraction was built here in Kentucky,” Hampton told the crowd. “It’s just an honor to have this here, so thank you for doing that. We hope to see millions visit Kentucky to visit Ark Encounter over the next few years.”

“I think God is here today,” Hampton added. “And even if it rains that is okay.”

And just a reminder to the atheists in the audience, it’s a private business, and the United States also has a beer can house and a Stonehenge replica made of cars. It’s a big country. There’s room for an Ark.
