REDSTATE POLL: Would You Support Postponing the 2020 Election if Trump Proposed It?

There has been a minor buzz online today about the results of a Washington Post poll that claims that half of all Republicans would be in favor suspending the Presidential Election in 2020 if President Trump were to propose; effectively, keeping him in office past the end of his term without his being re-elected.

The poll, which had 1,325 respondents only 650 of which self-identified as Republicans, obviously has a pretty small sample size. We’re curious how our readership feels about the same question.

Usual caveats here. This is not scientific, it’s an online poll. We’re just interested in a snapshot of the answer from those who choose to respond.

The question asked by WaPo:

If Donald Trump were to say that the 2020 presidential election should be postponed until the country can make sure that only eligible American citizens can vote, would you support or oppose postponing the election?

So … would you?

We didn’t ask about Democrats because, well, we already know: they would favor it. For their guy. According to a poll.

Yep.
