Upping the Idiot Ante: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Comes Up with a New Excuse for Her Blaccent

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s speech to a predominantly black audience Friday was glorious.

Apparently trying to come up with some kind of urban swagger, she tossed a bizarre droning “blaccent” at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference.

And it took us back, of course, to a pandering Hillary Clinton — which was also fantastic:

Why is the above clip not on speed dial for everyone online? Its awesomeness shoulda been pressed by the media the same as some of their favorite Trump snippets. But alas, No.

AOC was, of course, criticized for the idiotic attempt to, I suppose, sound black. She responded with her usual method:

Word to the wise: in politics, “Step off” — as a defense — doesn’t work.

She claimed to have used the same style of slingin’ syllables at the Women’s March and a speech about Brett Kavanaugh. But that was baloney:

At the Women’s March, she employed her Little Girl voice — the one that sounds like she’s voicing a character for Disney Junior’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse:

So over the weekend, she came up with a new, more sophisticated-sounding explanation for her droning like a gigantic weirdo in front of black folks and the whole world: She — a master of communication — was “code-switching.”

I honestly don’t know what to say about an idea so dumb. But here’s more of her trying to somehow be the victor:

Of course, not everyone was impressed. Stefan Grant, for one:

Oddly, “code-switching” is intended, it appears, to mean exactly the same as pandering.

Word to the wise: Changing the word doesn’t make it better, goof.

At the end of the day, AOC really lamed it up.

But I’ll giver her props: This is actually the first time she’s done something normal. Her usual role is one of a 2nd grader pulled out of school to sit in Congress, not knowing anything about anything, yet having been told she knows about everything about everything and so she should talk like it’s goin’ outta style (here, here, here, and here).

What she did Saturday had the sheen of a mature, experienced, idiot politician.

#Growth.

But not to Seth Weathers:

But what does he know? He just doesn’t speak code.
