The anti-Trump hysteria is the like of which the world has never seen. The hatred of Trump is so strong that anyone from your average Joe to your gilded celebrity will go out of their way to clown themselves in order to spew their hatred for the current President.

But this hatred of the President also extends to those who support him. To see how far the hatred would go, the Daily Caller sent the team of Amber Athey and Amber Caruso out to ask people if they’d rather date a Trump supporter or a convicted felon. The results weren’t surprising, but it doesn’t make them any less ridiculous.

From the Daily Caller:

Shockingly, the majority of respondents said that they would rather date a convicted felon. In fact, all of the pro-felon respondents were so quick to dismiss the idea of dating a Trump supporter that they didn’t even wait to see if the crime was violent or not.

Others suggested that the felon could be convicted on “trumped-up charges” and asserted that the justice system is unfair.

When asked why they wouldn’t date a Trump supporter, people said they “just couldn’t” and would “never” do it.

Given, not everyone was so inclined to risk dating a convicted felon, and some did have a solid point that some felons were judged unfairly. That said, as the Daily Caller highlights, those who did say they’d rather date a felon were awfully quick about it and didn’t wait to see whether or not dating said felon would be a risk to themselves or others.

Such is the hatred for Trump, though. Even if you don’t consider him a great President, the amount of vitriol surrounding Trump goes way too far into extremes, to the point where even common sense flies out of the window.

You might not like Trump, but let’s not convince ourselves that he’s the beast of prophecy. He’s not. Just like Bush wasn’t, and Obama wasn’t, or Clinton wasn’t. They’re all men with both good and bad ideas, with some of these men having more bad ideas than good like the latter two that I mentioned above.

In other words, calm down, America.
