Lindsey Graham Just Set the Bar for All Republicans Regarding the Kavanaugh Accusations

I don’t often say this — in fact, I’m not sure I ever have — but Lindsey Graham took to Twitter and laid down an attitude about the accusations against Brett Kavanaugh that I feel every Republican should outwardly adopt.

The circus that is the Kavanaugh accusations has now gone into overdrive, with former Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti essentially bringing forward a woman who has accused Kavanaugh of being a part of a rape ring during his teen years that was so successful that girls would witness other girls being drugged and gang-raped, and still attend the parties where they continuously happened.

At this point, the only people buying the stories are gullible, and the most hardcore of the left, though that might be redundant to say.

Everyone else is wearing a very expressive “WTF face,” and are essentially looking to Republicans to handle this entire thing like it should be handled. If they need help understanding the attitude they should strike, then they need look no further than Lindsey Graham who tweeted out what I can only call a series of masterpieces.

First, Graham verbally smacked Avenatti and the ridiculous claims he brought forth.

He followed this up by pointing out the logic that no sane person would continue to attend parties where the likelihood of being drugged and gang-raped is exceedingly high, much less not tell anyone about it.

Graham follows his combo with an uppercut, stating that he’s not going to be played by some 3rd rate porn lawyer with an overt hatred for Trump, and declared that he wouldn’t play party to a weak attempt at bringing down an innocent man.

This is the exact attitude Republicans need right now. Weighing credible evidence that may lend to the truth about Kavanaugh’s alleged sexual misconduct is one thing, but giving serious consideration to little more than hearsay is only revving the Democrat’s engines.

All the accusations made against Kavanaugh, from Christine Blasey Ford’s to Julie Swetnick’s, all share the common theme of having little to no credible evidence to back them up, and all arrived just as the confirmation vote for Kavanaugh was set to go down. Even Ford, the centerpiece of the Kavanaugh sexual assault claims, hasn’t had the notes from her therapist or the results of her lie detector test submitted to the Judiciary Committee as evidence.

It all stinks to high heaven, and it seems more like Democrats are benefiting from the creation of a narrative to use against Republicans while simultaneously delaying the confirmation vote until after the midterm elections.

Republicans should adopt Graham’s attitude. Don’t participate in the dog and pony show. Stop delaying for empty claims and confirm Kavanaugh.
