While it was disappointing to watch President Donald Trump accept and announce the resignation of Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, the press pool did produce a moment of pleasure.

As reporters asked questions of Trump, one wanted to know what he thought of failed Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton’s words on the swearing-in of Brett Kavanaugh.

“What’s your response to Hillary Clinton saying last night’s swearing-in of Judge Kavanaugh was more a political event than it was a national event?” asked the reporter.

Trump’s response was calm, but it was a devastating strike against Clinton’s ineptitude and failure as a politician.

“I guess that’s why she lost. She doesn’t get it. She never did,” answered Trump.

“I knew that a long time ago,” he added. “Hillary never got it. That’s why she lost.”

Clinton had been joining the chorus of those calling for Kavanaugh’s removal from consideration from the Supreme Court over the mere and unproven accusations of sexual misconduct during his teen years. During a CNN interview, she used Republicans defense of Kavanaugh as a reason not to be civil with Republicans. This will most likely further encouraging more mob tactics in line with the encouragement of Cory Booker and Maxine Waters at a time when our nation’s anger has been ratcheted up to 11, and something like a Supreme Court nomination can cause people to lose their minds.

To hear Trump say that Clinton doesn’t get it especially rings true in the face of her words during the CNN interview.
