House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California is putting up a pretty hard fight against President Donald Trump’s border wall and virtue signaling about how the resulting government shutdown is harming the American people.

However, one of the groups of people she doesn’t’ seem to be giving any mind are the victims of those who have been victimized in some way by illegal immigration.

That was one group of people that Pelosi has made a point to avoid, but if she wouldn’t go to them, then the victims decided they would go to her.

Families of slain victims of illegal immigrants stormed Pelosi’s office where they held up pictures of their lost family members and chanted “build the wall.”

Pelosi is currently banking on the fact that the government shutdown is polling to be the fault of Trump and that he’ll soon cave, but it’s not likely. Republicans overwhelmingly support Trump in his shutdown battle and even moderates are increasingly in favor of the wall being built.

Still, Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic leadership isn’t going to give up the battle over the wall, as whoever wins this shutdown battle will likely have all the momentum going into 2020.

This is sad, as Pelosi is essentially ignoring the families of the slain for an edge in the upcoming election that Democrats will consider the most important in their lifetime. Thing is, ignoring them doesn’t make them not real and at some point, reality will catch up with her.

At this time, all of Pelosi’s virtue signaling hasn’t stopped her from taking her exorbitant paycheck either. It would seem Pelosi isn’t as concerned about the people as she would lead you to believe, but more concerned about staying in power.
