Hillary Regrets Trump's Deplorables (Video)

Hillary Clinton

As you have no doubt heard by now, yesterday Hillary Clinton insulted half of Donald Trump supporters. She did so at an LGBT gala fundraiser featuring Barbara Streisand, where she called half of Trump supporters deplorables, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic and Islamaphobic:

To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the ‘basket of deplorables.’ Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it.

You can watch Hillary insulting millions of voters in the following video:

As to the other half, Hillary seemed a little more charitable:

But the other basket — and I know this because I see friends from all over America here … but that other basket are people who feel that the government has let them down, the economy has let them down, nobody cares about them, nobody worries about what happens to their lives and their futures — they’re just desperate for change. … Those are people we have to understand and empathize with as well.

Hillary also said  some of these people were “irredeemable” and not representative of America.

Hillary’s insulting half of Trump supporters was no accident. We know Hillary said it with malice aforethought because she said the same thing during this interview with Israeli TV.

It’s an unwritten rule of politics that it is okay to insult your opponent by name calling, but you don’t insult your opponent’s supporters. After a ton of criticism, which ranged from Hillary’s insult being called her 47 percent moment to contempt for everyday Americans, Hillary, in one of those infamous non-apology apologies, said in a statement that she regretted calling half of Trump’s supporters deplorable:

Last night I was ‘grossly generalistic,’ and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ — that was wrong.

So Hillary prefers to insult all of Trumps’s supporters, not just half. I know many people that think this is a smart move. I disagree. I think Hillary will regret the day she insulted half of The Donald’s supporters, let alone all of them.

As I’ve written before, you might disagree with Trump supporters’ candidate choice, but don’t denigrate them for that. Instead, challenge Trump the candidate and what he says and stands for. Do not paint the Donald’s supporters with a broad brush.
