Psalms 146:3, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
Let me put this another way plainly.
Hillary Clinton is not a savior.
Donald Trump is not a savior.
Evan McMullin is not a savior.
At this point, the only person in whom we can absolutely trust is our Lord Jesus Christ.
Even so, it is our duty as Christian to seek out the person with best character to elect into the office.
Don’t search for the lesser of evils. Once you do that, you set the bar lower on whom you will tolerate as an acceptable presidential candidate.
I can promise you right now that there will be someone far worse than Donald Trump and you will find yourself voting for that person for no reason other than there will be someone far worse than Hillary Clinton on the other side.
Don’t do that. Ever.
Always to aim high by setting the bar high enough as to select a well qualified candidate with impeccable integrity and exemplary character.
One of many reasons why I went with Evan McMullin even though he won’t win the election is so that I can vote with my conscience clear. I do not want my reputation to be tainted by associating myself with someone vile as Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.
If I vote for either Trump or Clinton, I might as well sell my soul and abandon any hope of maintaining high moral standards in whom to elect for any public office.
Lesser of two evils is still evil no matter what.
1 Peter 2:15, “For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.”
