Barry Obama will not be boasting at the Brandenburg Gate that he deserves a share of the credit for ending the Cold War and tearing down that wall. It won’t be from there that he outlines his steps to pick up history where it left off when the wall came down.

Instead, he will speak at the Victory Column in central Berlin, with the Gate in the distant background.

Evidently, this was Axelrod’s idea, as there was evidently some political fighting going down in the Federal Republic of Germany.

“V” for Victory, Dave.

I hope Obama speaks soon in France.
