I am not certain if this idea has any validity or not. I am by no means an expert on the rule that The United States Senate operates under.
The House of Representatives currently has the lights and cameras off so the GOP must continue it’s demand for a vote on oil production in the dark. Now, if memory serves, The Senate remains in session because it does not want to allow the opportunity for the President to make recess appointments. Could The Vice-President attend when the Senate is called into session and take over the proceedings? He could then turn on the C-SPAN cameras and invite the GOP House members to the Senate to testify on domestic production of oil.
I think there are many reasons this would not work. But I thought I would put it out for discussion anyhow.
