Rush Limbaugh announced today, February 8, that he heard that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “New Green Deal” resolution had been pulled offline.  Don’t panic because this is not the case, he just was given partially incorrect information. Her “FAQ” was removed from her website, but for now, you can find it here. Under House rules, vanishing an introduced bill, “1984”-style, is not possible. Embarrassed co-sponsors can remove their names, but this is noted on Congress.gov.

That said, the Democrats control many rules now, and should Nancy Pelosi not want to be so dramatically upstaged and embarrassed by “AOC,” and find a way to “memory hole” the bill and references thereto, here are the active links which you can save for your handy reference and to save to your computer. This ideas and text in the resolution and fact sheet will be key parts in 2020 races for the House, Senate and President–in fact most Democrats currently running for President have signed their names as cosponsors of this Socialist fantasy that would make America into Venezuela.

Listed below are the lists of sponsors and cosponsors for both the House and Senate versions.

House Resolution 109 text: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-resolution/109/text
House Resolution 109 info: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-resolution/109

Senate Resolution 59 text: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-resolution/59/text (not yet available, it can take a few days to be posted)
Senate Resolution 59 info: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-resolution/59

This is the bizarre Green New Deal ‘fact sheet’ that was released at the same time, and it WAS removed from AOC’s website, but here’s a working link: It contains many of the jaw-dropping goals heard in the media, such as “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work,” “build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary,” “upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency,” “we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast,” and other priceless gems. All sponsors and cosponsors OWN every word and kooky idea in the resolution and ‘fact sheet.’

More Red State Articles by Art Harman

Art Harman is the Director of the Coalition to Save Manned Space Exploration. He was the Legislative Director and foreign policy advisor for Rep. Stockman (R-Texas) in the 113th Congress, and is a veteran policy analyst and grass-roots political expert. His expertise includes foreign relations, border security/amnesty, national security, transportation, foreign broadcasting and NASA/space policy.
