I know, I know, the election is a long way from now so it’s way to early to make any predictions for the Democrat primary….but I can’t help myself!

Flashback: Not to put too much stock in my forecasting ability (I’m no Nate Silver with models and piles of data) but I did predict here on RS  just one month after he announced his candidacy on August 31, 2015 that Trump would win the primary.

And then I posted this diary fourteen months before the election and just like today, with the purpose of getting the juices flowing and finding out the opinion of the smartest people I know:

Just for Holiday Fun: Fast Forward to Nov. 8, 2016. Who Do you Think Will Win the Presidential Election?
DIARY / checkmate2012 // Posted at 8:32 pm on September 6, 2015 by checkmate2012

“Likewise, those who are adamant against voting for him if he’s the GOP nominee, even if it means a Democrat wins the White House, are simply unhinged to allow another 4-8 years with either a communist or a socialist at the helm. I’ll call them TrumpNOsters who refuse to acknowledge that if we can’t get a real conservative in the White House, an R-lite is far superior than a D-hardcore (but I repeat myself since there are no moderates left in the D Party these days).” […]

Here’s my Magic 8 Ball prediction: Trump wins in a landslide election. It’s going to be a wave election just like 1980 that no one saw coming. Why? Because he is growing the Party with unlikely voters, many who would normally vote for a Democrat.

So there are my credentials for picking a presidential candidate months in advance….weak I know but it’s all in good fun.

As we’re all very aware, the Democrat party is going through the equivalent of the TEA Party revolt of the Republican party with many obvious differences.

But then and now, the purpose is to upend the status quo and the best way to do that is to challenge the leadership in Congress and all that they stand for…complacency towards the voter’s wishes.

Looking over the landscape of the Democrat field and their new so-called leaders that have given Worn-Out-Pelosi conniption fits, will they prevail in the upcoming election?

I’ll call the new young Democrats the SWORD (TM) Party:

Socialist Wing Of Radical Democrats

Nanny Pelosi has no idea how to herd them as they are the flint of their party, giving it the spark needed to create a firestorm and enthusiasm amongst their radical base. She needs them but they don’t need her as they’ve made clear that the Sword of Damocles hangs over her head.

What does this portend for the 2020 election? Doom! SMOD?

Not quite. I think what we’ll see is the equivalent of a do-over of the 2016 Democratic primary election season. Sure it will be a clown circus with 20+ candidates vying for the title of nominee but in the end, I expect a deja vu of 2016 and it will be a frightening nightmare for the SWORDs.

Enter the SPAM candidates: Stale, Pale, Aging, Male

The exact opposite of what the today’s Leftists supposedly are yearning for this coming election. Those SPAM candidates are Biden and Bernie. And if I’m right, they will be the last two standing primary contenders in the race to the White House. That is the deja vu nightmare coming.

All signs point to this likely standoff. As I said here recently, Terry McAuliffe could be a real contender but won’t put his name in the hat if HRC or Biden does:

Here’s what I think is happening behind the scenes. McAuliffe might be waiting for Hillary and Biden to make up their minds (it’s her/his turn syndrome), yet he said he wasn’t on CBS’ Face The Nation last month:

Biden will announce very soon that’s he’s running. It’s his turn no differently than HRC within the Big-D party structure. Biden is playing coy just like HRC to keep the field in check albeit it’s not working the same way as no one dared to enter until her highness declared. Seems Biden has been waiting for the declared to stake their positions (make a$$es out of themselves) before making his official announcement.

Back to the nightmare scenario. Biden will make gaffes but continue to rack up primary wins. So will Bernie. Bernie won’t back down just like he didn’t kowtow to HRC in 2016.

Bernie’s obstinance will make the HRC and Obama camps livid. They despise Sanders with a passion, similar to TDS. He’s truly a Democratic imposter!

They will do everything in their unlimited power to destroy the Bernie machine yet his supporters will carry him to the convention. What now?

Bernie successfully watered down the superdelegates power, but he’ll be blindsided once again by the powerbrokers of the Democratic party.

Biden will be their chosen one to run against Trump in 2020…mark my words. It’s his turn.

This is Part 1. Next diary….the wildcards.
