He does what his ideological desires push him to do, his friends and colleagues and allies be damned.
In other words, he gives the public and his colleagues the middle finger, because he is right.
This is obviously politically destructive and divisive. It shows The One’s disdain for everyone, except, of course, himself.
Third, he yells fire in a crowded theater by siding with the Muslims building the mosque at ground zero.
He likely called in a team of academics to give him all the reasons he should back the mosque, or as he said, so he find out whose ass to kick.
Turns out, he is kicking the ass of his fellow Dems and the American public.
These are just the main examples of The One leading his friends and allies in his ritual Jonestown Kool-Aid brigade.
Other examples include claiming to care about the deficit while he bails out teachers after his huge and failed stimulus — all while the economy continues to spiral downward.
All at a time when the term bailout is like anthrax to elected officials — see Frank Luntz’s research — and Obama knows what the public thinks about bailouts because he has publicly stated he understands this, yet he and Pelosi pass the teacher bailout anyway.
When are the Dems going to wake up?
Who can stop Obama before he politically destroys the Dems?
Who has the courage? Who has the will?
Does it matter if any Dem does? The One will not listen, and Pelosi and Axelrod will be willing to tell all the Dems to walk off the any given cliff, because “it is the right thing to do.”
When is political suicide the right thing to do?
Clearly, The One loves toxic politics, and does it writ large.
Obama the Destroyer strikes again.
And Politico has this quote:
“And Democrats — at least some who were willing to comment — could barely contain their frustration over Obama’s remarks, saying he had potentially placed every one of their candidates into the middle of the debate by giving GOP candidates a chance to ask them point-blank: Do you agree with Obama on the mosque, or not?”
The One is not so stupid as to not understand what he is doing to his friends and allies.
He is just so arrogant, he does not care.
