At a health care town hall, angry voters confront congressman on the climate bill: ‘I can’t understand for the life of me how you could be one of the Republican traitors!
Republican Mike Castle (who voted Yes for Crap & Tax) has some angry constituents who are more angry about Castle’s cap and trade vote.
Apparently this town hall meeting was a discussion on Congress’ proposed bill to socialize health care, but, at least from this video, that the crowd mob was more interested in venting about the climate bill, and Castle’s vote for it.
Castle gets booed by the crowd when he says he believes in AGW, and he admits his office received more calls against the climate bill than for it.
It’s encouraging to see this level of emotion from the crowd.
And an energy bonus!!!
USEC spokeswoman Elizabeth Stuckle has said that the company would try to find other financing, though she said that’s tough in the current economy.
The company applied for the loan 11 months ago under a U.S. Department of Energy program launched by former President George W. Bush.
The project was announced five years ago. It was supposed to open in 2011 and employ about 400.
Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland wrote to President Barack Obama in March, saying that “thousands of new jobs currently being created will be delayed or perhaps lost” without timely approval of the $2 billion federal loan guarantee.
Obama was supportive when he campaigned in southern Ohio last year.
This reminds me of: THE SUPERCONDUCTING SUPER COLLIDER PROJECT
The Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory was a DOE supported facility.
The U.S. House of Representatives decided in 1993 to halt the project after
14 miles of tunneling were completed and two billion dollars spent.
The laboratory, located South of Dallas, TX, is in the final shutdown phase.
Bill Clinton killed it – pure politics…….
