From his interview with Sean Hannity: “The reason she draws this kind of fire, she is an existential threat to the establishment at every level, whether it is Wasilla, whether it’s Alaska, whether it’s the Tea Party Movement. She is on the side of the people. She represents working-class, middle class values and that, the vested interests in our country are scared to death of her.
That’s it in a nutshell. Too many leaders of the Republican party are complicit with the crony capitalism that prevails in both parties in Washington. The Democrats campaign on, e. g., low cost housing, then, together with Republicans, pass bill that gives developers big subsidies and big write offs. Section 8 for example, is a subsidy for landlords as much as for poor people. We don’t have it all figured out yet but you can be sure that Obamacare is going to reward a lot of Democrat leaning business people. And our Republican leaders get in the competition. Who gets left out int he cold? We the people. Palin ended a lot of those cozy relationships in Alaska, at least for a while. Both establishments are terrified of her at a national level.
