If the RINOcare replacement for Obamacare shows us anything, it’s this; the Republican party is full of lying liars telling lies, designed to deceive Republicans and Conservatives (they are NOT the same) into supporting establishment Republicans with their money and their votes every two years. This is one of the reasons I believe GOP no longer stands for Grand Old Party. Instead, it stands for Gutless on Principles. This is one of the reasons I created the GOP Hall of Shame to recognize these charlatans as the frauds they are.
One such charlatan is Orrin Hatch of Utah who, at 78-years old at the time, was re-elected to the US Senate in 2012 after already establishing himself as the longest-serving senator in Utah history at 36 years. Facing a primary challenger in that election, Hatch promised to retire in 2018 if the voters would send him to Washington one last time to complete his 42-year career as a so-called Conservative.
Besides the fact that the words “career” and “US Senator” should never be mentioned in the same sentence, Hatch proved his gutlessness on principles once again with the announcement that he will seek another term in 2018.
Orrin Hatch tops off his career as a liar… https://t.co/pEddIbrHFC

This latest lie by Hatch is bad news for Conservatives and America for several reasons:
- Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have been targeting conservatives for elimination for quite some time, seeing them as a threat to their own positions of power.
- While serving on the GOP re-election committee during the 2016 election season, Hatch refused to endorse Conservatives, even fellow Utah Senator Mike Lee, unless they were “rehabilitated”–code for “fall in line with the establishment, or else.”
- Donald Trump has openly expressed his anti-conservative sentiments during his campaign and since winning the election. This fact was openly displayed with Trump’s full-court press against conservatives who refuse to support RINOcare as he threatened to primary them if they don’t vote for the bill.
For the record, McConnell and Trump are the primary forces behind the effort to get Orrin Hatch re-elected. And Trump recently appointed former Gov. Jon Huntsman as Ambassador to Russia. Though essentially Orrin Hatch 2.0 when it comes to being a faux Conservative, Huntsman was considered a serious primary threat to Hatch in 2018 according to recent polling. Polls also show that nearly 80% of Utahans oppose the idea of Hatch running again.
Hatch’s decision to run again is proof that conservatism remains a target by the Washington power brokers and the Trumplican party. It also proves that there will be no “draining of the swamp” in Washington unless we the people take back our government.
