Hypocrisy: Nadler, Jeffries and Lofgren Try to Impeach Trump for Delaying Aid to Ukraine; Yet They Voted Against Aid Package

Fox News contributor Deroy Murdock appeared on Fox & Friends on Saturday morning and pointed out that as the House Impeachment team tries their hardest to remove President Trump from office because he delayed aid to Ukraine, three of the loudest members voted against a bill which provided aid for Ukraine.

Democratic Reps. Jerrold Nadler (NY), Hakeem Jeffries (NY) and  Zoe Lofgren (CA), who have excoriated the President in the Senate trial over withholding aid to Ukraine during a time of war, all said “nay” to House Resolution 2810, the National Defense Authorization Act, which included the funding for Ukraine.

The video below shows them railing against Trump. Jeffries tells the Senators, “Ukraine is a fragile democracy under relentless attack from Russian-backed separatists. They desperately…need…our…support.”

Murdock said, “It’s amazing to hear these people on the verge of pulling the President out of office and sending him back to Trump Tower over this 55 day delay in aid to Ukraine when, in fact, they had the opportunity to provide aid to Ukraine and voted no.

He continued, “Back in 2018, there was the National Defense Authorization Act. It had $250 million in aid to Ukraine and Nadler, Lofgren and Jeffries, all of whom are impeachment managers, voted against that legislation. And last year, on December 11, Nadler voted against $300 million in aid. That was two days after he chaired a Judiciary Committee hearing on impeachment and a week before he led the effort on the House floor to impeach the President of the United States. I find that absolutely breathtaking.”

The panel discussed the humanitarian aid (blankets, MREs) that Obama had sent to Ukraine vs. the javelins Trump sent to the country.

“Ultimately, they got the aid. There was a 55 day delay. We were trying to determine if the new government opposed corruption. Could we trust them with this money? They’ve now got missiles they can use to turn back Russian tanks if they get any closer to Kiev than they are now,” added Murdock.

Co-host Lisa Boothe noted that we don’t hear much from the media about the differences in policies of the two administrations on this. “Why not,” she asked.

They hate President Trump. Simple as that. They hate his guts. They want him out of office and they’re not going to say anything that will delay his departure from office which is what they want.

“The President has been open about his skepticism of foreign aid from the beginning. Who are we giving it to and what are we getting in return has always been part of his calculus,” added co-host Pete Hegseth.

Murdock agreed, explaining that, “He has a responsibility to make sure this money doesn’t go down the hole or wind up in foreign bank accounts…He didn’t stop the money. He delayed it for 55 days. vs the lethal aid that the people of Ukraine had to wait over 1,000 days between the invasion by Russia and the end of the Obama Administration. They didn’t get any lethal aid under Obama. They got lethal aid under Trump.”

Once again, the hypocrisy of the Democrats rears its ugly head.

Below is a list of lawmakers who voted against this bill. Schiff is not among them, surprisingly. But lest you think the absence of Nancy Pelosi ‘s name on the nay list means she was a yea, you would be mistaken. She did not cast a vote on this bill.
