Stunning Irony: Sorry Susan Rice, You've Lost the Right to Call ANYONE a Liar

Last week, after acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire tasked a member of his staff to brief the House Intelligence Committee that the Russians were meddling in the 2020 election to re-elect Trump, he was out. President Trump made the excellent decision to tap U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell as his successor. In my opinion, Trump’s selection of Grenell is right up there with his choice of William Barr as Attorney General.

Grenell has been a loyal ally to the President. They are like-minded and are said to share similar worldviews. The Federalist’s Ben Weingarten writes that, in his role as the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, “Grenell has been an outspoken and passionate advocate for the president’s policies,” and has been “singularly focused on achieving the administration’s objectives” including:

The maximum pressure campaign against Iran.

Lobbying against using Huawei infrastructure in developing the all-important fifth-generation (5G) networking technology.

Countering Russian efforts to increase leverage over European powers through delivering increased energy supplies, by firmly opposing Nord Stream 2, while helping successfully negotiate an agreement with Germany to open itself to U.S. liquefied natural gas, thereby creating competition for Russia in the energy market.

Demanding that North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies including Germany increase their commitments rather than free-riding on America’s dime.

The importance of having a loyal and like-minded Trump ally in place at the helm of the DNI cannot be overstated.

CBS News’ Catherine Herridge reported that Grenell has been given a mandate which is to “#cleanhouse including a “top to bottom” review of DNI operations.” I assume this is an order to eliminate as many Obama holdovers as possible, similar to what National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien is doing at the National Security Council.

This is good news indeed. It appears that President Trump has begun the “clean sweep” of the government agencies he hadn’t realized was so crucial early on.

On Friday night, former National Security Advisor Susan Rice, who is famous for lying about Benghazi on five major talk shows in one day, and has now lost the right to call anyone a liar, made the following statement:

The problem is that Rick Grenell is one of the most massively dishonest people I’ve ever encountered. I’m not using this language lightly. He is a hack and a shill and that’s all he’s ever been.

Grabien Media’s editor, Tom Elliott, quickly put the word out on Twitter and it wasn’t long before Rice’s remark went viral.

Here are some of the reactions (via Twitchy):

(Twitchy)  Susan Rice completely unaware that she’s Susan Rice…With a straight face too. This is, literally, text book pathological.

The woman who leaped from UN ambassador to National Security Advisor strictly because she was willing to lie to the American public saying that a US ambassador is unqualified to be the acting director of the DNI is GOLD.

Whoa… AmbassadorRice called SOMEBODY ELSE massively dishonest and a black hole wasn’t ripped into the space-time continuum!

(Dan Bongino)   The “it was the video” lady speaks!

(NewsBusters)   Wait, the lady who lied on FIVE Sunday shows for Obama about the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi is calling someone ELSE a “hack and a shill”?

(Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier)   Susan Rice should go on 5 Sunday Talk shows and blame @RichardGrenell “massive dishonesty” on watching too many YouTube videos.

(Sean Davis at the Federalist)  Were there any members of Obama’s national security team who weren’t complete psychopaths?

(Dana Loesch)  He never blamed a terror attack on a video and had someone arrested over it.

(Guy Benson)  Hardcore partisan best known for brazenly lying about a terrorist attack weighs in.If only we had a class of professional journalists. They’d be pointing this out every time she spoke.
